compact and convenient
Easy to carry as a photographer who has not serious task and does not want to miss any opportunity. It is a most compact mirrorless so far. Quality is ok for scenery and close figure photos. But quality is not for very serious photos and not as fast as SLR.

Awesome Camera
Upgraded from a seven year old Sony Nex-5n got the flash and the sigma 30mm f1.4 all together make a great combo and takes awesome pics. the autofocus is very impressive coming from the old nex 5n. the wifi feature is very cool and relatively easy to use.

Didn't work.
I bought this hoping to have a second body as a B camera for video in addition to my A7II. Failed to work out of the box--got a camera error message on snapping the shutter and the only way to turn the camera off was to remove the battery. Returned to BH.

Not sure what the fuss is all about
The kit lens wasn't so good. Rather dull compared to a 3 years old LX100. 4K video was much better on the LX100. Bought a prime lens Sony 50mm f1.8 to see if it makes a difference. A bit improved but is still disappointing. Returned it a few days later.

Love my new camera
I am very happy with my new camera. I have been taking pictures every day since receiving the camera. B&H is a wonderful company as they really packaged my camera well and are very concerned that I liked my purchase. I will buy from them again,

GREAT CAMERA BODY
Sony added to the successful a6000, with 4K, more shooting points and more. It feels better than the A6000, not to say the A6000 was bad. I had the Sony A6000, but sold it for the A6300, and I'm glad I did. This camera will be a sure winner...

Im so impressed with the video quality!
Ive shocked people with how good the quality of the 4K footage is! It shocks me how good it is also! I would HIGHLY recommend this camera! Check out examples of the 4K footage i've captured here.. https://www.youtube.com/user/Valleyhrtstudios

Power in a small package
I switched from DSLRs to mirrorless cameras last year. The Sony A6300 was my choice, the size, features and quality made the switch easy. I did keep two Canon lenses to use for video. All the still photography is done with Sigma prime lenses.

Not compatible with Lightroom!
Since this camera's Raw format is NOT compatible with Adobe Lightroom or Photos on the Mac, it is impossible to evaluate unless you want to switch to Phase One and learn a new software and workflow. Very disappointed with my new paperweight.

Great Camera!
We use this camera for in-house video production and it is great. It has stepped out our video quality and reduced our editing time instantly. Clear images and the burst mode for stills is amazing. Couldn't be happier with our purchase!

Great camera, 4k overheating issues :(
I love the camera. Auto focus is incredible. Internal 4k video at 100mb/s had some overheating issues after about 15 minutes of recording in an interview. After leaving it cool off for a few minutes it would go another 15minutes or so.

Best camera under u$s1000
This is the best camera you can buy at the under u$s1000 market. Its great for photography and videography, the sensor is wonderful in low light. If considering a lens, I would recommend to get this camera with the 18-105 from Sony.

What I expected
Seems pretty good. I used to own an a6000. So far the video quality has not popped out to me as much as a gh4 does when shot on 4K. It still sort of looks like he footage from what i saw. Overall still good camera with better build.

Great camera - no GPS
Upgraded from the Alpha 6000. Love the EVF, 4K video is awesome. Lots of improvements and the focus is so fast you almost don't know it happens. But Sony omitted one thing that every camera of this class shuld have and that is GPS.

IT IS A GOOD CAMERA FOR THE SIZE
I'm not like super exited about this camera since I'm used to reflex cameras. I know this is a good one since it support high ISO and 4K videos which is really helpful but it is just that it will get me some time to get use to it.

Little Gem
Still testing this little gem. It's light, fast and produces pics with great detail. So far so good. I'm impressed. Oh, and I love the silent mode; great for street shots and situations where any noise would distract the subject.

Dude. Get this!
Absolutely lovely camera. I am a beginner photographer, and I think this model is absolutely perfect for starting up and taking that initial leap. Would absolutely recommend getting one and the F1.8 lens for portrait photography!

Decent little camera
- Good for carrying around - Can use most of the lens w/ adopters (canon in my case) - Auto focus works good for most of times - Good image, Ok in low light( can go up to 6400) As most of the mirrorless, battery can't last long.

Great 4k footage, 1080 footage leaves a lot to be desired.
Amazing little camera. love the small form factor. 4k footage looks amazing but if you want to shot in 1080p the footage doesn't look as great. battery life is ok and i havent had any overheating issues as of the purchase date.

one disappointment after another...
I'm sure you already know the pros and cons already, but here s a new con: the display locks itself in low brightness when shooting in 4k or 100/120fps, to a level so low that one can not see anything outdoor. Unacceptable.

Extremely worthwhile upgrade from the NEX-6
Going from the NEX-6 to the 6300 may be a no-brainer, but I am still blown away by the quality difference I can readily see. Slow-motion video is gorgeous. 4K video is wonderful. The camera as a whole is fast and svelte.

Great camera!
Replaces my A6000. Autofocus and RT viewfinder have yielded excellent sharpness with 18-200mm Sony telephoto. Makes a great lightweight kit for extended travel. Battery still disappointing so I carry many spares

Lots of technology in a small body
The new Sony APSC is quite a feature filled camera. It may take a few months to get through all the menus! O for the days when a printed manual was included. Quality seems very good so far. Pictures are sharp.

6K oversampled to 4K, S-Log2 and S-Log3
6K oversampled to 4K, S-Log2 and S-Log3 what more could you ask for in this affordable compact body. No sensor stabilization but that would have caused overheating issues and a huge price jump maybe next gen.
