Surprised at every turn.
I bought this as a walking around camera. I shoot Nikon and have for years. I have sold prints and done events for years. But the first print I bought of my own work was done with this little camera. It have become my companion on daily walks and it just amazes me at chance. I am not sure I can let this little guy go, ever.

The upgrade I was looking for
I decided it was time to upgrade my camera, I was using a canon t3i and was no longer happy with the low light quality. I shoot video semi-professionally and for fun so I was looking for a camera that had 4k shooting options and a great low light sensor. This surpassed my expectations and with a new fast lens I can now shoot in low light without much noise.

Great for the nature enthusiast!
Price is amazing for the product you get. I'm upgrading from a point-and-shoot canon power-shot and this is exactly what I needed and more to continue my passion for nature photography. I might even consider doing portraits! I'm very excited to try out the video, but for now the photos come out amazing! I even love the preset scenes.

Love it!
This camera is great. It handles well, but is still light and small enough for travel. There are plenty of controls and function buttons on the camera that can be customized to your most frequently used settings without having to go through the menu.

Having had my old Canon DSLR gather dust but still having the yearning to take pics. I decided that this small capable camera would be just the ticket. Best Video for This Price Level
As its big brother GH4, G7 provides 4k and high quality videos. It has many customizable buttons which is very well. Although it has no headphone jack, no live hdmi output, no sealing, not high quality material, it is the best for this price level. Also its lightweight is perfect for drones and gimbals.

Love It
This camera is perfect for those trying to make the switch from DSLRs. You won't find a better choice, at this price. I purchased an FD mount and a Canon 50mm FD lens. Beautiful results. You can also purchase a mount to use your EF lenses.

Great camera for photos and video!
This little camera shoots awesome 4K video and takes great photos. It is nice and compact, the swivel screen is great, and the electronic viewfinder is nice. If you are coming from a different kind of camera, the interface is pretty easy to get used to. Only thing that I found strange was that the knobs were labeled by letters which is a little less intuitive at first (compared to icons). Overall it's a great camera, and I would recommend it, especially for its video capabilities.

Stunning 4K, Super affordable.
I tried Samsung NX500, very nice camera,sunning image quality but video features were missing, crippled 4K, H265 codec. I came across Panasonic G7, what a camera, 4K,Digital viewfinder,touchscreen, great ergonomics. It is a complete package in my view. I love this camera. Best bang for the buck. Only problem i see is the back top and front dials are too easy to change.

Solid Camera
I bought this camera to replace my Nikon D5300 which I use for 50% video and 50% photos. I knew going into it that it would be a downgrade from my Nikon in terms of image quality but it turned out to be more of a significant drop then I was expecting. Still takes decent photos but not as good as I was expecting. Video obviously was a significant upgrade thought! All in all I have no complaints other then the sub par image quality.

My initial impression of the Lumix DMC-G7
I am a CG Generalist who uses Blender. I needed a camera that could deliver crystal clear images for camera tracking and matte placements. I was thrilled with the HDR capture, time lapse, stop action and RAW capabilities of this camera. Not to mention the WiFi and panorama abilities. I wish I could have afforded a camera with a higher frame rate at 4k, but this little beauty is hard to beat for the price.

Perfect with GH4!
The G7 is a perfect match with the GH4. I use this as a B Cam and sometimes my main cam, as it's better in low light by at least a stop! Great little camera, can't go wrong with it.

Great upgrade from T3i
I have been shooting local/regional commercials & videos with a T3i for the past few years and this little G7 is a welcome change. It really is noticeably smaller than my Canon. Any smaller might be a problem. I jumped in the deep end and shot my first project with the G7 after playing around with it at home for just a few days. Great camera. Great 4k video. Fast auto-focus. Sharp kit lens. Only complaint is a little hard to figure out. Still can't figure out the two auto-ISO modes.

Loving this camera
I'm a photography novice. I knew I wanted the ability to take great pictures and pursue photography at a hobby level but also travel light and didn't like the size and weight of the DSLRs. The camera fits the bill perfectly so far.

Much faster
I got the G7 to replace my older G2. I generally use the camera in Bracket mode (several under-exposed and several over-exposed shots) and the G7 compared to the G2 is MUCH faster. I can take a 7-exposure bracket shot with the G7 in much less time than the old G2. The photos are crisp and in focus.

I like the camera for its video features
The body feels cheap and that is why i gave four stars...I have nikon and sony cameras for still and canon camcorder for video.Both video and stills are good for the price i paid...Take the 150 gift card and you pay only $.

Lightweight heavy hitter
This is a very capable camera with great ergonomics. The autofocus is very fast and accurate. The kit lens is very sharp. Panasonic should replace the strap mounting points with 1/4-20 threaded holes, which could be used to attach a strap mount or any number of other things.
