Great camera!
Point and shoot has come a long way! I am a very experienced amateur photographer with many years experience with high end Canon SLRS as well as Sony and Canon point and shoots. To make a long story short, this camera will take over 80% of what I do with my Canon 6D and it is much lighter and smaller. Photo quality is superb. Zoom range is fantastic. Many features - read the manual. I am getting rid of all my other Point and Shoots except for a waterproof Ricoh WG-30.

great little travel camera
Great little travel camera, produces great images when the light is there. Pros: Small will fit in your pocket,20mp sensor, long lens, easy to operated in IA. great feature set, will do a lot including post focusing, shoots in raw. 4k video, eye level view finder, and tilt touch screen Cons: Small sensor, IE poor low light performance. Flash is in the wrong place, very easy to cover with hand. Menu system could be better laid out. Requires a couple of days to figure it out.

Horrible!
I took this camera on a big birding trip to Australia, Papua New Guinea and The Philippines and almost immediately the zoom stopped working unless I kept changing the program backwards and forwards - the same happened when I tried to play back photos - it was so frustrating. Im not sure if it was the humidity but any camera that wont operate in mild humidity is not worth buying! Extremely disappointed and I certainly wont be buying further Panasonic products!

Pretty much new to this
I got it for the long run and my class. So far, the camera is good. I think it's really good. I have a lot of options to make the pictures come out nicely. I'm still getting used to all the settings. After reading the manual, I'm learning more from watching videos. The only set back, according to my teacher, is that I can't change the lenses to different lens types. I think It's good enough for the class and myself. I enjoy taking pictures with it now.

30X zoom camera fits in your pocket
I was so happy to find this camera with the features that are key for me: Powerful zoom lens, large LCD display, option to use the viewfinder, manual controls and easy-to-use scene choices. Plus it fits in my jeans pocket. Ideally I'd like better low-light (faster lens) performance and water resistance, but I am happy with the trade-off. It was also great to get a free extra battery and charger as part of a promotion on the B and H website.

Support non existent
Purchased Apr 2018, used lightly until July 2019. Less than 500 images taken. The viewfinder monitor no longer works. Trying to contact Panasonic support seems to be impossible, there is no phone number, the chat is supposed to be manned until 5:30 weekdays. Yes it is covered in warranty as I got an extra three years for all the virtual piece of paper is worth. Beware if you have issues, the images are good but support doesn't exist.

So far so good...
I bought this "pocket-sized" camera for a future trip to Alaska where I need to minimize luggage etc. So far so good. Selling points: Leica zoom (SIGNIFICANTLY better than my droid camera), view finder (call me old fashioned), Wi-Fi capabilities (I even got it to work), easy to use/navigate touch screen menu. Downside is that it isn't going to fit in any normal-sized pocket of mine, but it is still much smaller than my Lumix FZ200.

Great pocket size camera
I'm enjoying the zoom on this and loving the portability after carrying around my Nikon DSLR + 18-200 zoom for years. Low light shooting is fine for web photos and I'm loving the bird shots I'm getting. I'm having difficulty with focusing on moving objects such as a bird on a moving feeder but that may be just a matter of not finding the rightsetting yet. There is a learning curve but it's fun to play with all of the settings.

Great compact camera
This is a great compact camera for travel. I also have a Nikon D750 but lugging it around on vacation gets tiresome when Im mostly just wanting to take snapshots for a Facebook post or to show a few photos of the trip to friends. It fits easily in the pocket of my shorts or a cargo pants pocket so its always ready to quickly pull out for a photo. The lens is great quality and the 20x zoom can really bring things close.

Manual is junk - bought $27 book on Amazon to try to comprehend
Manual with camera is junk. Downloaded manual is junk. I just ordered $27 book from amazon to explain what manual fails to explain. Manual is non-contextual. It tells you how to do something w/o telling you what that something is!!! Disgraceful job by Panasonic!! Further review after book tells me how to use camera. Pending that, panasonic should send me $27 wasted on book that their failure forced me to purchase!

A Point and Shoot for Good Lig
This camera has features like my G85, but has a slow lens coupled with a sensor that gets noisy pretty quickly. At the lower ISOs, in lower light, using even modest amounts of zoom means you'll quickly run out of aperature, shutter duration, or both. I use it for daytime snapshots and for that it works well. The big zoom comes in handy. Also, this is not the slimest of point and shoots. Big pockets are a plus.

Panasonic DC-ZS70 review
I have been a camera guy for about 60 yrs. I always went with Canon--Canonette, SLR, point & shoot--I always required a viewfinder. This DC-ZS70 is more sophisticated than any camera I have ever owned. The 30x zoom is great. The EFV (electronic view finder) is great. Screen and EFV are super clear. WiFi is nice to have. Easy to use menus. Images are far superior to Smarphone/iPhone images--which pretty good.

Nice camera
It's got a great zoom but not a simple camera for me to operate. I am not a techie and this camera has a lot of different ways to take photos that I have trouble remembering all the settings. I plan to keep it and use it when I can but will be looking for something simpler to use. I normally have at least two cameras so I don't have to mess with resetting it all the time. Old and senile can be a problem LOL!

Nice little travel camera
I bought this camera for a point and shoot travel camera that feels like a camera, not a smart phone. This camera has a few more features included that I will probably never use, but I like the options for being able to take raw and jpgs. The image quality isn't quite as good as my 11 year old D80 Nikon, but I'm not a professional photographer and am happy with good enough snapshots documenting my travels.

A gift .. well received
I purchased this as a gift for a most favoured son - in - law . He had so often admired my version of this camera . We do a lot of kayaking , hiking , birdwatching together . He has always expressed interest in this cameras small size , its simplicity of function , and most importantly , its quality of photos . I am sure that he will get the same kind of enjoyment from this as I have had from mine .

Great new addition
I got the camera as I wanted a better zoom than my previous Sony RX100. I still wanted an articulating screen, as that is a fantastic feature for street photos. The new Lumix does all that and works great. The only difficulty was getting the camera to shoot raw, but I figured that out after a call to the service center. A manual can be sent to you via email, but does not come with the camera.

Great new features
I have been using Panasonic cameras since 2004 and, have to say, this is the best of this style (so far). The tilt back is a very good addition for the low level shooting I often do. The extra weight gives it a good feel in your hands. My only gripe is the flash and right hand grip need a better design so that your finger doesn't block the lower right hand side of the flash.

Fantastic when it works
This is a great camera, I loved it until it broke down 1 day after the warranty ran out. Panasonic is NOT easy to deal with, just finding where to send a camera for repair is not easy. I finally did get it repaired and less than a year later, it died again. Perhaps I had a lemon, I dont know. It was great while it worked, but breaking down twice in a year is not good.

High praise from a hunter
I bought this to zoom in on elk that are hundreds of yards away. It definitely delivered. The stabilization, auto audio, exposure, and image quality are the best you can get for the price. I am a canon guy normally and they just dont have anything that can compare at this price range. Great blogging camera too. Just make sure you get a little wind cover for the mic.

Lots to learn... newbee
I wanted to park my DSLR & lenses, and have a pocket sized camera for a special trip abroad. I was impressed with the quality of the photos I taken so far. The 30x zoom is amazing... I could see a workman near the top of a building in Chicago that was over a quarter mile away... in a hand-held shot! I have lots to learn about all the features, but I'm happy so far!!

Got for zoom
Got it for better zoom than a phone camera and lighter and easier to carry than a DSLR and works for that. Had allowed me to capture hundreds of pictures I normally wouldnt have because DSLR to heavy and big to carry everywhere and mobile phone dont cut it. Only complaints are lack of GPS and too easy to accidentally hit on/off button when its in your pocket.

Awesome zoom!
I'm not a professional photographer and don't understand very much about all the settings. I've just set this camera to its AI setting and point and click and it produces very good photographs. I can certainly tell the difference between this and my phone camera. And that zoom is obscene and one of the main reasons I purchased it and it hasn't let me down.

LR noise algorithms help at higher ISO's
ISO 1600 129mm printed @ 12x16 for display. Not my normal camera. I bought this for my wife to get reach and hopefully print up to 8x10. With post processing it proved to be usable even at these poor parameters for much larger prints. At minimum ISO 80 it is amazing. Fun little camera. Well built with long battery life.

Poor Skin Tones, heavy compact
I was looking for a compact camera to slide in my fly vest and cargo shorts. Unlike my old Cannon SX 260 the ZS70 body is nearly as large and heavy as my K1000 35mm. Noticable when hiking. Skin tones are an unpleasant greyish cadaver color unless photoshopped. B&H return process was efficient, good service.
