I was skeptical of the M60x. You couldn't convince me that there was anything better than the M50x, period. I decided to put these on a trial. Straight to the point: these DO sound better than the M50x. No, they're not punchier than them and no they don't have that booming, thumping bass. But if you're looking for an overall, cleaner, and smoother sound signature? The M60x take the fake easily. What I did notice right off the bat, was that the M60x don't have those harsh or overwhelming highs that my cherished M50x's possessed. They're buttery smooth and I would always brace for the painful highs in every song I tested (multiple genres). The bass definitely cuts through and still has plenty of body and low end for sure... if you're concerned about that. These sound great all around. I PROMISE you won't be disappointed. ... More

I've used the ATH-M50 headphones for many years, and have always gone back to them for general listening and monitoring. I saw these guys at the store and had no idea AT had new headphones. I did some research and found surprisingly little online. So, I bit the bullet and bought a pair for my home studio! These little cans are fantastic! Super bright where they need to be, without being harsh or brittle. The bass is solid and present without being overpowering or muddy. These are a perfect pair of monitors. Unobtrusive, comfortable, lightweight, portable, and isolating!

Great sound. They just start to feel uncomfortable after about 30 minutes of use... other than that great set of headphones.

I USE THIS PRODUCT AS A MONITOR ON STAGE WHEN I PLAY BASS. I FIND IN EAR MONITORS SUCH AS SHURE 215 UNCOMFORTABLE AND DON'T STAY IN PLACE AS WELL AS NOT CARRY BASS NEAR AS THE M60 EARPHOPNES I GOT..
