Best open-back price/quality.
AKG K-612 Pro is my second pair of high quality headphones. I had to ditch my Audio-Technica ATH-M50 in favor of this open-back model because of my chronic otitis (wearing closed-back M-50 during the day didn't help the treatment at all). I use headphones every day for work, making music, etc. And I must say my ears don't itch anywhere as much as before, so I highly recommend these headphones to anyone with ear problems. K-612 sounds absolut... Show More

Excellent headphones at a surprising price
As a big fan of the AKG K701, I was hoping for the best with the K-612, but concerned that they might be a disappointment. I needn't have worried - if anything, they sound a little better than the K-701. The K-612 sounds clear and transparent, with effortless performance even in the very low bass regions, but the high frequencies are smoother and less aggressive than on the K-701. The K-602 doesn't sound quite as airy and detailed as the K70... Show More

Blown away
I spent a long time looking for an affordable pair of studio headphones. I'm a beginner when it comes to purchasing this type of headphones but I could not be happier that I went with these AKG's. Firstly, the build quality of the headphones and even the packaging they come in are of the highest quality. Secondly, the feel and comfort of them are phenomenal. I can wear them for 3+ hours and they are still as comfortable when I first put... Show More

Great for Mixing and Referencing
These headphones are amazing. Coming from the AKG k240 headphones, these are so much more open and wide. You can hear more detail and clarity. Absolutely the best reference headphones I have ever heard. So clear and pure, and comfortable. I highly recommend these as a "next" step up to pro gear. The price is right, and you cannot go wrong with the sound. Even the bass response is great. The thing I dislike is not having a detachable cable so I hav... Show More

Abolutely amazing!
I have had some amazing headphones in my time and i can say that i am totally blown away by the sound quality of the AKG 612Pro. the bass is tight and flat. the highs are crisp and the mid range superbly details. the fact that these are open back gives a real sense of width without being pushed too far out. in a production sense of view it is amazing how well you can feel the movement and the depth. I might say that they are may be short in comparison the best headphones in terms of width but for the price it can't really get much better. a must buy on a budget.

Classy!
I am blessed with a rather large hat size, and these headphones fit perfectly without any adjustment needed. Sound is great. Just be warned that the impedance is quite high, so you need a good amp to feed these cans. For my Korg Keyboard it's rather hard work for instance, but no prob with my sound card etc. Very pleased with this thing. ..... until one side of it broke down. Thank you Thomann, for honouring the waranty. Came back working again ..... until it broke down again. Piece of crap.

Great headphones for mixing
I needed some headphones for mixing on the move and I bought these from Thomann. The sound is excellent and they are very comfortable, so much so that I sometimes forget I'm wearing them. It's an ideal solution for mixing without speakers, the highs are crystal clear and the low bottom has a very nice presence. The only con I can think of is that these headphones have a high impedance and so getting a headphones amplifier is probably a good idea.

I recommend these
I A & B them with my loud speakers when mixing music. They are light and comfortable and aurally very flat. The open back design gives a great stereo image. I can listen to them for long durations without tiring. On the downside, they lack a little low end. Great product.

Good quality and lightweight
They are very light and airy sounding, good for listening to classical music or other genres which are not bass heavy.
