First Impressions

I just bought this mic and compared it to a SM58 with my mixer and headphones. It has the same tone as the 58 but is noticeably louder. This is what I was expecting. A fellow musician had an older model and it had more output the the rest of the 58s we used. Even the beta 58 was not as loud. I had to turn down the gain on the mixer to match the other mics. The handling noise is quiet as well. The screen looks flimsy compared to the 58 but they say it can flex and still keep its shape. Time will tell. The body size is very similar to other mics and fits in to your standard mic clip. I may have to buy another one just to have a matched pair. ... More

I purchased this after something went wrong with my outdated EV model 767 I had for years. I wasn't so sure I would like this mic because I had found the 767 outperformed all of the previous mics that I owned. After using this mic on stage I went back and bought another one for a back up! This mic is actually performs better. I highly recommend this mic for any use.

I've been using the predecessor EV ND367 mics for many years - and given them as presents to fellow musicians - I just bought this pair of EV ND76 mics as a gift for my musical partner - we all swear by them and we have never found a fault - really fine sound, noise-free, and articulate (fast enough to mic cymbals) - well-built and durable

perfect for vocalists who can't 'swallow the mic'.....allows them to move a little bit while still being picked up..

I had been using an AKG.Granted it was a 10 year old mic.Talk about night and day.The difference is quite amazing.Clearer with great tone.

I sing 4 hours at a time.....the big diaphram on this mic picks me up loud and clear....i can sing softer and get the same response as the usual diaphram mic. i can save strain on my voice. i really endorse this mic!!!!!! it is amazing!

Great all around vocal mic. This replaced an old ND 767 which was damaged in a long drop. EV makes some of the best sound gear around.
