Simple, but essential
If you ever fly in sunny weather, this thing is indispensable. And don't forget to take off your sunglasses! Those super-bright dedicated monitors are excellent, I'm sure, but this works quite well, in case you don't want to spend an arm and a leg... Although there are limitations (it's none too big, and inevitably there is some glare), it's easy to attach and does what is needed.

Helped a small amount
The sunshade provided only minimal relief. I phjone screen was still for all intense and purposes unviewable because of sunglare. Ended up having to involve a spotter to keep eyes on my drone and throwing g a large beachtowel over my headwith controller before I wasableto really see iphone screen

Glare problem
Despite this hood being on my controller there is still a lot of glare obscuring my iPhone screen. Droning is best controlled in real shade or when the sun is low

I like it it works as well as anything could. Recessed areas near the thumbs allow you to run the joysticks without too much trouble.

Great monitor hood for cutting glare.
I have use the hood most of the time being in the south and the sun is bright. Cutting down the glare is important and making the viewing better.

Well Worth the Price
I live in Florida where we have sun almost on a daily basis. This hood really helps to cut down the effect of bright sunlight on the Mavic controller and also my iPhone screen. It fits perfectly over the antennas and controller with a nice feature of a magnetic flap the top lid. It folds flat for storage and I keep it in my Mavic accessory bag that contains leg extenders, etc. The material it is made of is very much like the grip type material they use for iPad covers.

A little clunky
It's a little big for an iphone 6/7-plus anyway and a little clunky. I'm not sure I like the way it hooks on the antenna -- seems like too much potential stress on the antenna -- even just putting it on and taking it off -- as well as restricting how the antenna are oriented with respect to the drone. Needs improvement
The hood fits well but flops forward which covers the controller and phone. Little annoying. You have to constantly move it up out of the way. I would have expected a better design from Dji. It's better than nothing on those sunny days.

This thing's got it made in the shade!
Probably nothing is going to preclude an Apple or Android product from being obscured by sunlight -- nothing short of technological development, whereby those gadgets have the same legibility as e-readers. That said, this hood comes about as close as it gets right now. Then too, there's the fact that if folds. That's huge. There's a loop on the back of the DJI bag. Run a wide Velcro strip through that loop and around the folded shade. Instant portability.

Doesn't perform as well as I was hoping.
The hood does not provide enough shade for my phone, but does for the rc where it isn't really needed as much.

High Quality, worth the price
For $20, you can't go wrong. This is high quality. To put on, your antenna need be straight up and down, so the bottom tongue goes behind, then you can angle it back. This bottom fold on the tongue is very stiff. It's easier to attached then trying to bend back and push over antenna. You could leave it up some, and not all the way down on the 2 antenna like one of the stock picture shows, but the closer you get to your screen the more light it will block for you.
