Best noise-cancelling headphones
I've had several different types of noise-cancellers including top-end models by Sony and AKG. The sound quality of these is nearly-but-not-quite as good as the AKGs and way better than the Sonys, but the noise cancelling function is far better than either of them. These seem like magic when you put them on - all the roar of the aircraft engines disappears and you can get totally lost in the music you're listening to or the movie you're watching.

A brilliant luxury pair of headphones
I upgraded to these from Beats solo 2's. The sound quality is a slight upgrade but still game changing from normal earbuds. The big thing with theses compared to others I've tried is the active noise cancellation. As someone who walks along a main road for a large part of my commute, I can't believe I used to cope without it. The music is of perfect clarity and the headphones completely drain out the traffic noise when music is playing.

Perfect for commuting
Bought these as I was tired of hearing conversation noise over my headphones while commuting to work. They are excellent, even without the noise cancelling activated, however the difference is huge once activated! Only gave 4 stars for comfort as my ears did tend to get quite hot after a while while on the train, however the warmth was welcome once out in the cold! The only negative point i can find is i go through a battery a week!

Amazing and quiet
I bought this as a present for a family member who flies a lot, but decided to test it myself. This is my first ANC headphones. The sound of the refrigerator and the AC completely vanish. The sound of a window fan reduces to a hum. Cars passing by sound like a they are coasting down hill with their engines off. The wire is detachable at both ends, thus eliminating loose contacts with time. The wire and microphones provided are long.

Bose Quiet Comfort 25 Headphones
Very pleased with my purchase. I do not have any other over ear phones to make a comparison, but as always, Bose make exceptionally good products. The noice cancellation works well. There is a good bass and the phones are well made and come in a stylish case. I chose to have wired phones because the reviews that I looked at said that wired gave a slightly better sound to wireless and as I only use that at home they are perfect.

bose qc 25 headphones
I very much like bose products for their reliability, technical supremacy. I already own their desktop speakers,very compact, good sound quality, quiet comfort 3 headphones which I think are much better looking headphones in comparison to qc25, although sound quality is the same. lastly I have the bose portable sound dock (battery & mains),which travels with me everywhere. Overall I personally recommend any bose product

Amazing value
At half the cost of the wireless version, it is well worth every penny if you don’t mind a pair of wired headphone. Top class sound and NC works well to block 90% of commuting noises. Can now enjoy music at sensible volume. Light & comfy on, easy to forget am wearing full headphone. Well made and quality finishes. Battery lasts weeks and easy to carry a spare AAA Is a win. Classy look and good case is a plus.

Well pleased with Quality
I purchased these headphones to use with my i. pad and can honestly say that they have been well worth the money ,the sound quality is very good with no interference from other devices when noise cancelation is activated. To be honest I have had more comfortable headphones but these are not bad for the money I am well pleased with these and would certainly recommend them in there price range. Good Bose product

Excellent sound and out of this world noise cancellation
I love my QC25's. The sound is excellent and the noise cancellation is out of this world. The noise cancellation works well even when running noisy equipment. My only concern is durability. The headphones seem to be made fairly cheaply so I don't know how they will hold up. On the plus side, they are very comfortable to wear, even for long periods of time. Another great product from Bose which I can recommend.

Astonishing
My son uses these headphones while on his ipad watching movies, tv shows, listening to music. While I was working out he offered to let me use his ipad and the phones to watch a movie. The noise cancellation was astonishing, he was standing behind me yelling my name and I didn't hear him. But the sound quality of the dialogue, music sound track, and sound effects were crystal clear. It's like listening in 3D.

Excellent at noise cancelling
Worth paying a bit more for these quality headphones. Cannot hear a thing while wearing them. The over-ear speakers feel very comfortable when worn for long periods of time. The cable can be detached completely which I think prevents the cable breaking as it did on my last pair cheaper headphones. Apparently all components are replaceable too so I know they will last me years. Comes with a nice case as well.

Amazing noise cancelation
The noise cancelation is amazing on these - best I've ever seen. The carrying case is best in class, with a smart slot for an extra battery and airline plug. I wish the sound quality was better - the highs and mids are not as good as they could be, and the headphones are a bit bassy. If you care more about noise caneclation and can live with decent but not great sound quality, the QC25 is a good selection.

Noise canceling is great 4 Stars - sound muddy 1 Star
These are very useful to create quiet atmosphere while flying. I find that I arrive more rested after a 12+ hour flight if I wear them. However, the sound quality is VERY poor. My personal solution is use Shure earbuds with these headphones on top plugged into nothing but noise cancelling turned on. Good sound. Good noise cancellation. But what can't BOSE come up with a pair that reproduces good sound?

The Best Noise Canceling Headphones
I have purchased other noise canceling headphones for airline travel, but I was blown away by the quality and durability of the Bose QuietComfort 25. I was hesitant about spending the money, but the first time I used them was on a flight from New York to San Francisco and it was worth every penny. If you are an avid traveler, take the plunge and invest in the Bose QuietComfort 25. You will not regret it.

They sound great and are really comfortable.
Bought these as I wanted to have some headphones rather than earphones which can be uncomfortable. The sound quality is amazing. They do block out surrounding sound really well. There is a slight issue when out in high winds in that you can hear the wind. But that is the only major fault. Did think about buying wireless ones. But have been very happy with the wired version so won’t bother now.

Two Thumbs up
I looked at the Bose , B&W, Beats...before deciding on the Bose, 1st they look great are not to bulky, comfortable around the ear for a flight to FLA & fold nicely into a case provided. But it really about the sound, now that is somewhat subjective..but I really liked these the most. Does a great job at noise cancelling and I just love the sound. Also..I think B&H is the best for customer service.

Satisfied
I used the Bose QC25 during my flight and was satisfied with its performance. I was able to hear the audio from my media files, something I couldn't do with regular earbuds. The headphones were comfortable throughout use and I experienced slight wetness (something that may be unique to me). If you have the money to spend on a nice noise cancelling headphone, this is without a doubt a good option.

Great noise cancelling headphones
I bought these primarily for air travel, and the effectiveness of the active noise cancellation is remarkable, and the sound quality very good (if not quite equal to the best). The case for them is a nice touch, and they're comfortable to wear for extended periods. They may be somewhat overpriced (which is why I've given them 4 stars instead of 5), but they're very good for their intended use.

Not as good as the old QC headphones
I owned a set of Quiet Comfort II headphones for about 10 years until they packed up recently. So thought I'd buy the latest version. The noise reduction has improved. However, sadly, the sound quality is not as good as on the old Bose headphones (which was terrific). Also the old set could be used on large hi-fi system at home, but these can only be used on small/mobile devices. Disappointed.

I LOVE these Bose Over-Ear Headphones
I've been using in-ear headphones for my iPod, but have always had problems with them falling out. So, I decided to upgrade to these Bose Quiet Comfort 25 over-ear headphones. I just love them. They are SO comfy and the sound quality is great. I was even able to listen to music in peace whilst my other half watched the cricket on TV (also in peace). So, they headphones work for both of us.

Sound with a Comfortable Fit
I was looking for a good quality sounding headphones which didnt feel like my head was in a vice. These came up to expectations, and now I can listen to my music without feeling my head is in a clamp. The sound quality is very good and what I expected from Bose. The headset also comes with its own case which keeps it stored safely. So I am very happy with my purchase and can recommend.

Peace and Quiet
I used the Bose QuietComfort 25 headphones both with and without music streaming on 11 hour flight to Hawaii. I arrived so much more relaxed without having to listen to the drone of airplane engines for all that time. I have also used them for on line training so as not to disturb others in the house. Once again, the solitude enabled me to concentrate more on my work. Great purchase.

amazing.
I've tried many sets of sound canceling headsets- and these have been the best thus far. I wear them while working to help me keep focused- the only downside is that the headset requires a AAA battery for the sound canceling feature and if you forget to turn them off (I'm always forgetting) You will burn through batteries. I purchased a rechargeable set of batteries for this reason.

Noise (SKIP) Cancellation
The headphones are overall amazing, the noise cancellation is also great (when it works). The noise cancellation is only useful if you aren't on the move as the minimum shake will cause the sound to skip. I only buy these headphones if you are planning on staying still when using them. PS. I commute a lot from NY to NJ and the movement of the train is enough to cause audio to skip.
