Great little unit for the money.
Cheap as chips (like most Behringer products) but does a great job. Why would you pay more? Okay, so it's not as pretty as others and does have a somewhat cheap feel (its fabricated from folded sheet steel), but if you're looking a headphone amp with which to share listening duties, you'll not find a cheaper way of doing it. Yes I can recommend it as an inexpensive solution.

Behringer HA400
I use this headphone preamp to make the music coming from my cellphone louder when I play the drums to music. For his use the HA 400 works great. I haven´t tried yet how it works with 4 Headphones. I just use it with one. handing: Is very good. There are just 4 simple knobs: The level for each output. In addition it´s very small, but for this size it´s quite heavy, wich is great because every time I want to plug in or remove a cable ... Show More

Does what it says on the tin, recommended
I was looking for something affordable and basic to split a stereo headphone mix from my control room to the studio room so musicians could have control over their own headphone volumes. This does exactly that and does it without adding any additional noise. The box itself is well built and the control knobs and pots seem sturdy and easy to turn. One thing I particularly liked is that the power supply is small, it isn't one of those big ones... Show More

Great little amp
I have used this amp in my home studio for over four years and it works great with my AKG Monitor 600 ohm phones as well as low impedance ones. It has always presented an accurate image of what the tracks sound like through my speakers; no gain or loss of high or low end and no problem driving four sets simutaneously. Haven't really experienced any negatives thus far.

Affordable 4 channel headphone amp
At this price I shouldn't probably write anything negative about the HA400 headphone amp. Luckily, I don't have to since it hasn't stopped working yet. The knobs feel a bit flimsy and the unit is really light! Well it could be worse honestly, the box feels actually quite sturdy. It comes with a power adapter which is great. I have used it with all kinds of headphones from Beyerdynamics DT 990 Pro to t.bone cheapos and it seems to give enough outp... Show More

Great buy
Does what it is supposed to do! Doesn't introduce any audiable sound degradation or noise. Metal case makes it feel quite resistant to any damage. Very compact, so it's easy to transport just by throwing it into backpack.

Good cheap headphones hub
Amplification level is good, but noise level is also quite high. However, for this price I wouldn't expect anything else. Knobs are okay and it looks pretty solid, should not fall apart after rough exploitation. Also it's small, does not weight too much, so you can drag it around easily. Perfect for field use (gigs), but for studio I prefer devices with less noise.

Good and sturdy
This unit at firs got me worried when we played music trough this and the board, it had some weird hum in it and then I was disappointed. But when we used it as in ear-monitors amp it worked amazingly well! I haven't tried to send music trough it again but I think the issue was somewhere else that the hum happened. I am pleased with this product! Of course you can but something more high-quality but this also means that the price will pop ... Show More

Transparent Amp
Great little amp, nice and transparent. I wasn't thinking straight when I ordered though- be careful as the plug that comes with this is Euro style. Easy to find a replacement UK style plug though... Not marked the product down for plug as that's my own fault!!

Great Buy
This product is great. It does exactly what it's supposed to do. Four channels of headphone amplification. It's nothing fancy, but it does it's job and it is extremely inexpensive. Recommended.

Affordable and very good!
-I find this unit to be very well built, with good quality buttons and connectors. -The tone is like the original so it does not imprint any tonal change. -Inaudible self noise -Good design with the external power supply because it eliminates the possibility of "PSU noise" and overheating

great headphones mixer valid proof
very good as mixer headphones, its price is its strong point, but as is often the case for behringer products, this is of good quality and can also be used for professional purposes. is very robust, basic, but it does its job very well, the only advice is to not go overboard with the volume level at its input, otherwise you will notice a distortion not pleasant. for everything else recommended, for little money you can bring home a great headphones mixer valid proof

Does the job!
I am using the MicroAMP HA400 with my ham radio transceiver so that a second listener can have headphones on at our upcoming outdoor event. Last year, I tried just having two headphones connected through a Y-connector, and that frustrated my companion listener, who was not able to control the volume - I wanted it louder, he wanted it softer. So this small amp will solve the problem at a reasonable cost.

apparently is good but I have problems
good, but could have different connections for energy. I'm also having trouble to hear both channels (L & R), only one works. but I will see if the problem is the cable that connects the mixer to the device

Handy little Headphone Splitter
We´re using a Zoom R16 to record ourselves while rehearsing, to get some kind of in-Ear Monitoring we are using the HA400 to split the Headphones-signal into 4 seperate ones. At firs we had some issues because of using a mono.cable, there was very low volume. With using a stereo cable these issues have been solved. The splitter itself is very small and comes with an AC/DC Supply, unfortunatelly there is no On-off Switch, but there is a small ... Show More

Compact and useful
As a hobby we've been doing home recording on a Zoom 24 ... single tracking, but we wanted to do a few live takes and so the Behringer HA400 has been a very inexpensive way to use 4 head phones at one time. Works just fine for our needs. Also our drummer uses it as a monitor when we play acoustic stuff - he runs head phones off it from the output on our monitor amp. We found it a very good, effective and inexpensive solution to a some problems. Would I recommend it - yip. Just remember to get either ask Thomann for or be perpared to buy a UK compatible 12v power supply !

A nice preamp for home studio
I bought this item because I found the output on my Tascam US-600 USB audio interface to be a bit low when tracking. The headphone amplifier boosts the output to a decent level with plenty of headroom. Sound quality is very transparent, exactly what you want for a headphone amplifier. The preamp is also silent, it doesn't introduce any noise. I'd recommend this to anyone looking to run multiple sets headphones off one source (usefu... Show More

It does what it says it will!
For me this has been a perfect audio splitter. It is simple, easy to use and it doesn't feel cheap or like it is going to break. I have been using it for band practice with all my other band members. Because everybody has different headphones it is really nice that you can set your own levels . I've owned this for 3-4 months now and there has been no issues with it. Don't forget that this needs a stereo cable for the input!

Does exactly what I wanted it to do.
I was recording a few singers in an apartment and needed more headphone outs than what my interface had. I didn't need them to be reference quality, because it was just for tracking. This gave me everything I needed for under $ bucks. Perfect.
