I got this for my wife's birthday and it just so happened to be on sale when I got it. We got it because her iPhone wouldn't allow her to put her pictures on my Windows computer. It works flawlessly with the Mac and she ABSOLUTELY LOVES IT! It is a fast little thing and even though I am a lifelong Windows user I find myself gravitating to this Mac from time to time. Don't tell Bill Gates on me!

The battery are all dead!

Dead on Arrival TWICE
Bought it as Christmas present and arrived dead. RMA took 2 weeks and I bought another one hastily as a gift for Christmas while first one was still being processed. Second one also arrived Dead. I took it to Apple store and they confirmed that logic board is faulty. Lots of people on slickdeals who bought the same laptop had exact same issue. WHOLE batch of laptops were bad. I was surprised B&H kept on shipping them even though they were aware it's faulty. Still on going RMA for second one that was dead and I missed Christmas by two weeks and regret buying it online.

Getting used to the switch from a Pro
I have used a Macbook Pro forever. The Air felt like a toy at first -- a baby Mac if you will. I made the change because I want to be able to take it more places more comfortably and I do like the size, but also I preferred the size of the price tag. The machine itself: It's speedy, responsive and does all I hoped. Since I've been a Mac person since the 128k Mac (which I still own), there's nothing surprising about this. Also, going to 16GB was key to my happiness with this machine. I just need to adapt to the keyboard, which is different. Other than that, happy as a clam.

The computer I purchased was an excellent value. Everything went smooth from the time of the purchase until delivery. I had multiple emails making me aware of where the computer was in the transaction and delivery process. I would recommend B&H to anyone.

Defective computer
Computer was defective from the start. B&H offered return but would not honor price on a replacement item. They suggested I go through Apple which means I have to start off with a refurbished computer when I bought it new. Poor customer service.

Cant beat this deal
I got lucky and found a good discount on this unit. New, but 2018 model, which is basically the same as the 2019, but lacking the true tone display, and actually has a faster ssd. Great buy

Solid System for Moderate Work
Bought this to replace a late 2012 MacBook Pro Retina. Besides general internet browsing, I use it to do occasional side projects involving web site design / development (scripting + graphic / image editing), user research (screen recording), and writing. Apple old stock DOA
New no returns policy for opened computers means I wont buy from B&H again. Laptop arrived unable to hold a charge and did not run as expected. Only recourse was to take it in to the Apple store under warranty. While there I learned that if Apple apple laptops are not sold within 90 days, the inventory is to be returned to Apple-which would have prevented experiences like mine. Took a week to get it fixed.

Can easily replace the Macbook
I was baffled by the prospect that Apple would remove the Macbook from the family, but the new Macbook Air proves that they were completely redundant. This one is sleek, ultra portable and I am very impressed with the performance with simple photo editors such as Lightroom. They could just drop the Air and call it new Macbook.

A boring laptop with supurb OS and build, but subpar specs
as titled. Plus, the gold color sucks for me. I would have picked gray or silver if I could. And the screen color is indeed not that good. Buy the entry level macbook pro if you got extra $200, it's so much more worth it.

other than Apple getting rid of the magnetic power this laptop is 5 stars, if you are looking for something compact to do light work and internet browsing you can't go wrong with the air

Great second computer
I have a 2018 Mac Mini that I use as my primary computer but also needed something more portable. This MacBook Air fits the bill perfectly. It is easy to carry, runs a long time without being plugged in, and interoperates well with the Mini. I was trying to decide between a MacBook and replacing my iPad. I also have an iMac which I use most of the time. The Air is a great size, is really light weight and does everything I need. Plus its crystal clear.

No Brainer
I am not very computer literate so hesitated to buy a new computer thinking program and file transfers would be a pain. This thing made it easy, easy, easy. Opened the box and followed the idiot (me) proof instructions. Then via wifi, presto change-o, my old mac desktop appeared on my new mac air. WOW! And B&H made the purchase totally simple and secure, even with a post order phone call to confirm my order was for real and nobody hacked my credit card, etc. I had a small problem transferring on program but called Mac and they fixed it no problem-o.
