Coming from Canon 70D
After weeks on doing research to buy this camera I finally pulled the trigger. I was going to to purchase the Sony 6400 but decided to save more and go with full frame with the Sony A7iii. Well worth it, and I am having fun taking low light photos overall. Would definitely recommend this camera to anyone as a hobbyist.

Some models overheat
I bought two of them in 4 months. Serial number starts with 3xxxxx doesnt overheat at all. Serial number starts with 6xxxxx overheated after 40min. Overheat shutdown set to high both cameras. Lucky exchanged the camera to older 3xxxxx series and now working great. It is an amazing camera for the price but so strange new batch has overheating problem. Similar issue happened years ago with Sony a6000. Shame on quality control of Sony !

8 month Review
As a kid coming out of college and wanted to focus on video and photo work I pick up one of these cameras. I have been with this camera for 8 months now and here are my pros and cons. Pros: -Size matters for travel work. I have large hands and to anyone complaining about their little pinky hurting needs to find new things to complain about. As far as travel work I went from have one body with two lenses to be able to carry a third lens in my bag ... Show More

Great low light and autofocus
The autofocus tracking and low light are pretty awesome. It is pretty complicated system with a steep learning curve but fortunately theres good resources online, especially Mark Galers. Huge step up from the Panasonic M4/3 for indoor sport shooting. There is price to pay though. Lenses are massive compared to M4/3 and expensive too. Ergonomics is good. Looking forward to more shooting.

Amazing Camera
It really is an amazing camera for the price. It is very quick and takes wonderful pictures. Definitely one of Sonys best thus far!

Love the A7III
This is my first Sony camera and so far the experience has been great. I have been testing out the autofocus system by taking photos of my yellow lab at full gallop. The camera nails focus every time. Im using flexible spot medium with the drive mode set to high. I was able to learn a lot of the features quickly by watching the Mark Galer videos on youtube. I also have an 80d and its pretty great too.

Amazon WHO?
B&H has come through perfectly with every order. They have even come through when others couldnt,(Im looking at you Amazon), like with the Sony a7 III that I recently purchased. Literally the only anxious experience that I have ever had with B&H is currently waiting on a backordered lens. And I dont think that I can really fault them much for that!

No Battery CHarger Boohoo! Grow Up
I dont understand why people purchase a product without looking at Whats In The Box. You walked into it without doing your research so dontblame the company for not adding a battery charger. Other than that the Sony A7 iii is a total beast on the field. It is my first mirrorless camera and Im glad I went over to the A7 iii. It is a great travel size camera that packs a punch and it has not let me down one single bit. Ever sinceI got this camera Ive been messing around with it as if I was a little kid in a candy shop.

Versatility
I have just started to use this camera but love the image quality, the dynamic range, and the versatility in the settings which make the difficult menus irrelevant. A great camera for photographers irrespective of their levels of experience.

Amazing camera!
Looked at several cameras and chose the a7III because it offered the most features for the price.

Great Entry Level PRO Full Frame!!!!!
When I bought this camera, I didnt know what to expect. I had only shot on entry-level APS-C cameras with a kit lens and highly inaccurate focusing system, so I didnt know what I would be getting. Wow! The autofocus is lightning fast, and the kit lens is incredibly sharp, much sharper than anything Id ever used before! You wont be disappointed. NOTE: My first version of this camera had a problem with the viewfinder and LCD screen with inaccurat... Show More

Best budget prosumer camera PERIOD.
I shoot real estate photo and video work professionally and have been a long time Canon user. Finally made the switch over to Sony due to its leading edge in the video market. This has lead to an easier work flow, even better image, and I couldnt ask for more. The setting menu is quite daunting compared to canons but there are plenty of forums and videos showing setups. Hands down, best dynamic range I have personally worked with. Pair this up with the Laowa 15mm and you have a rock star of a real estate setup.

dont get accessory package
camera is great but the watson battery is horrible. mine died after 200 frames... so it lasted about an hour of shooting. trying to charge now but the battery may be useless. A warning comes on about taking a risk using it... this also came with a charger. not sure if its also an aftermarket charger as it takes over 2 hrs to charge the sony battery. Is this normal?

A serious camera for serious or not so serious photography
After months of dithering I finally pulled the trigger and bought an A7III and Tamron 28-75 Di III RXD to go with it. The camera fully meets my expectations and is a finely crafted piece of hardware, that telegraphs quality. I bought this body for the very fast and effective AF and excellent low light performance. There has been a lot of negative commentary about the touch screen and menu system. I find the menu system somewhat old fashioned but... Show More

My 1st E- experience
WOW Not often I take an expensive plunge in one shot , but B&H manages to take Sonys fair trade pricing and throw in a few extras. Hands down the cleanest low light images Ive ever experienced. Craving noiseless images since going Sony with the A 100 , this my 7th Sony body & the finally made me happy. The camera @$2K is well worth the price. Paying $2.2k for a lens, that by discription doesnt sound extraordinary, is a tough sell. But hanging the... Show More

Mixed Feelings
I moved from a full frame nikon to the Sony. As many have said, its menu system is a challenge and there arent as many youtube videos or writeups on how to work with different functions. Its a different beast from an DSLR and has a steep learning curve. With the kit lens, doesnt seem as sharp as a Nikon kit lens. I plan to use my Nikon lenses with the camera but an adapter for Nikon is not yet available. The wide variety of accessory options for... Show More

No Regrets!
I have been wanting to upgrade from my Sony A7 for a while and finally did. This camera is no exaggeration a low light beast!!! The af is super fast and the battery life is steps above the previous model. All ready wrapping up my first music next week. Well worth the investment

So far so good.
Awesome camera. Sony put a lot of thought into the design. For example, when you choose manual zoom, the electronic view finder zooms in tight so you can get optimal focus. Very happy with my purchase.

The Best Camera I Have Ever Used!
I recently bought the Nikon Z6 and fell in love with the build quality, but poor autofocus performance, limited native lens selection, subpar battery life and issues with the EVF (It shows a brighter image than what the camera will actually capture, Jared Polin talks about this in his Real World Review of the Z7) caused me to return it. I picked up this kit as a replacement and I could not be happier! The build quality feels great. The EVF and re... Show More

Camera is Great! Accessory Kit is bad strategy!
Purchased the Sony Alpha a7iii along with disk and extra battery as a kit. First of all the camera is a must purchase and it does an excellent job of performing all those nice features. With regards to the strategy of making a kit up with extra battery and disk, well for me this is a BIG BUST! The cards in the kit are compatible per Customer Service and NOT recommended by the Tech guys at B&H. It is like selling you the small spare tire that come... Show More

I WANTED TO LOVE IT, BUT...
The positive first: Images are crystal clear with 55mm f1.8 lens; image quality amazing; 24-105mm f4.0 nice enough; low light capability is super. Now the not so positive: 1) tilt screen - too stiff and not quite adjustable enough - articulating screen; built-in flash and battery charger included would have been nice; 2) 24-105mm is not ergonomically compatible with the camera at all. The lens is quite heavy for the camera, so a lens not balanced... Show More

Thought long and hard, and I dont regret it
I waited for a long time to make this decision, and Im not sorry that I did. The camera is fantastic. Photo stabilization is great, image quality fantastic. The menu system is clunky, of course, but theres enough customization to make it work. All the things Ive heard about it are true, from my experience. For the money, I couldnt be happier.
