Great Full-Frame Camera!
I'm a professional photographer (Canon user) and just got the A7ii as my mirrorless FF camera. I did my first photo shoot last week and am amazed by the image quality! Focusing is fast and accurate, and the images came out amazing! I just might switch from Canon to Sony. Very impressed!

Great value for the price
As someone who uses primarily older nikon manual focus lenses, I would say this is a great camera just for its sensor stabilization and the EVF ( something that makes manual focus 1000% better with peaking on ) These features alone were the reason I went with sony instead of getting a nikon body. If nikon decides to go mirrorless and put in sensor stabilization then I will consider switching. Until then, sony all the way.

Great quality, size and weight is great.
I got my a7ii with Zeiss 2470 lense three months ago from B&H, first I have to say the quality of photos is as better as Nikon 810 or even better. This image is very sharp for professional use. Some people says it has overheating problem. If you use senser at the time, I assume it will be a little over heat. But it never happen to me. I don't use senser when I don't shot. And the size and weight is perfect to carry for travel.

excellent for old manual lenses
The niche that this camera fills is a relatively-compact camera with a full frame sensor, which is easily adapted to nearly any lens system out there, plus image stabilization on the Mark II. It fills this mission very, very well. The cons are minor and don't interfere with that fundamental function: - Battery capacity is small and you need to have spares around. - The EVF switches on using a sensor when you put the camera up to your eye. It's a good camera
I've only had it for a week, but I'm satisfied with it so far. The photos are sharp and clear. I've had other Sony cameras, so it was pretty easy to learn how to use it, even though buttons, menus, functions are in slightly different places. It's pretty intuitive. If I had any complaint it would be battery life. Very disappointed in that. It might get better when I'm not outside in winter.

If anyone asks me what kind of camera to buy, it's this one!
I could not be happier with this mirrorless camera. It takes phenomenal pictures of my family and makes an average photographer take near professional photographs with zero editing! It's an expensive camera, but memories are captured in crisp detail!

Great camera, but has a few issues.
I have had this body for about 3 months but had not used it enough to be fair in a review until last month when I was traveling with it for 3 weeks. Using it almost every day gave me a good feel for its strengths and weaknesses. Let's start with the weaknesses: 1) Battery life. To be blunt, this thing burns through batteries. I could drain a battery from full charge to dead in 60-90 minutes. I carried 5 batteries for this camera with me, and some... Show More

Good camera with a great sensor and too many options.
I have been shooting with Leica for many years. From films to M8. Had been waiting for a reasonably priced FF digital camera and after some long debate, I have settled with the A7II. It is a well made camera with a great sensor, and it works with most of my Leica lenses (50mm Summulux, 35mm Summilux, 75mm Summarit). My 21mm Summarit does show some fall out and color cast at the corners but I might be able to crop them out. I had considered the A7... Show More

I love this product!
My very first camera, even though i'm new to cameras, it's very easy to use the dials and to use whatever settings you want to use within reach

I would probably by it for it's quality and capabilities.
Wonderful camera, but not for traveling: the battery life is Horrible!!!!!!!!!!

Poor focusing competence under low light
Recently, I shifted from A7s to A7II, with the hope to make use of internal 5-axis stabilisation function. Indeed, this function is quite satisfying, particularly when I use a zoom lens like Tamron 28-300PZD, through an LAEA3 adaptor ring. The adaptor ring also works well with Sony SAL 24-70ZA lens, though not with Sigma 50ART or Minolta 24-105D. In comparison with A7s, A7II is very disappointing in the aspect of focusing under low light or back ... Show More

Great camera with just a few quirks
I have had this camera for about a month and a half. In that time I have shot maybe 500 photos with it with a surprising number of them keepers. My other camera is a Sony a77m2 which I have really liked from the beginning. The difference is the a7ii can produce very good photos in conditions the a77ii cannot. It shoots far cleaner at higher ISO's and has more data in raw uncompressed mode which allows me to make even better photos in post process... Show More

Outstanding Performance
I am amazed at the quality and sharpness of my photos. It is a Joy to operate with easy access to all control buttons and features. The weight is fantastic. I own a Nikon D5 and when on various photo shoot assignments it makes a huge difference in lugging extra equipment. I am very satisfied. The only draw back is battery life. I purchased a battery grip as well with two extra batteries.

The best camera I've ever had!
I use his product everyday for family, social media, and blogging. I am able to use the A7ii with my samsung 6edge and mac. I bought this camera in order to use for a growing hobby. I hope to learn this camera really well and hopefully it will turn into a sources of income. I am not an experience photographer, never took classes, etc. etc. I just love good quality images and the A7ii + Zeiss 35mm 2.8 is a great choice for street/landscape.

Great Camera!
What a stunning camera! I had an old Sony before this and was finally ready for an upgrade. I'm glad I went with this purchase. It's amazing and I am in love with it.

I love this camera. A great up from my Nikon with an APS C
Both the back screen and the eye piece are very are very easy to use. I like the way I can choose the information to be shown on the back screen with each picture taken. It is also a very easy to handle and use camera.

ADVANCED CAMERA FOR AMATEURS
Great camera and is appropriate for beginners that are committed to learning the art of photography. LIKES: there are too many features to list, and I will probably never out grow this fine instrument. DISLIKES: If it is a digital camera, why does it have to make shutter sound and cannot be muted??? This is not the best if you want to take life-in-the-city pictures. None-the-less, it's still a 5 out of 5.

This camera is a winner
I've only had the camera for about two weeks but love it so far. I moved up from an A6300 so I am used to the similar camera set up. So far j haven't found any real down sides. Light weight, focuses well, great image quality, great raw files. Would of course recommend this camera and any cameras of the A7 range. Also the kit lens is a bargain! The difference in price for the body and the kit is so small. You would have to pay $900+ for another lens (of course great glass) but it's great bargain to have this lens.

Sony Support IS A JOKE and Does Not Exist
I recently purchased a Sony A7 II camera. The finished photographs are very very nice. However, when looking through the viewfinder in a dim lit room, the image becomes extremely grainy. And, this happens with the current firmware on the camera updated and using a Sony E mount lens and Sony flash. The image becomes so grainy that you can hardly see the image. I have used the Sony A7 camera and the Sony NEX VG20 and this problem does not exist. I ... Show More
