Great for gaming needs
After getting a new gaming console I needed to upgrade my tv as the one I had was only had ready. I couldn’t go 4K as they only came in massive sizes, so didn’t lots of research into the best quality I could get for full HD and decided upon this one. I am not disappointed. Fantastic, vivid, crystal clear picture and good sound. It’s a shame it is missing now tv app as well as ITV and 4, which my old smart tv had. But I have access to Netflix, amazon, 5 and bbc iPlayer. All around good choice!

The Sony badge does still make a difference!
I bought this TV for the bedroom, it's a good sized screen and with the slim bezel takes up less room than some other smaller screen TV's. Great picture quality (full 1920x1080) which the Freeview HD tuner fully utilises, the menu is clear, logical and offers a lot of control. Sound quality is pretty average, but no worse than expected with the tiny speakers used on TV's this size. The build quality is pretty solid but the built in Smart TV apps are very limited, solved by using a Fire TV stick.

Why would you need anything else?
A superb TV. Just the right size, unless you want to fill your lounge with plastic & compete with next-door. All the requisite sockets for latest games console, Chromecast/Roku, surround sound etc. & no need for nasty Android OS. Picture is crystal clear - HD1080 is all you need; 4K is imperceptibly different. Don’t go cheaper unless you have to & don’t waste money on bigger. (A couple of people have said that the sound is quiet - I do not agree. We use it with the volume at around 10%.)

Great 32 inch TV for a small sitting room
I always do my homework when buying anything, and I knew what I needed the TV to do. I needed a scart socket to connect to my old freeview recorder, You Tube for my son, good picture, not too fussy. It's perfect. The picture looks a little pixelated sometimes, but that might just be when I'm flicking through channels.. I don't notice anything when I'm settled watching a program. It's lightweight, really easy to set up. Connected first time to the wi-fi. So all good and not a bad price either.

SO Happy
My new TV is brilliant. The picture is wonderful. The sound is good but in the Smart TV section for the channels, it has BBC iPlayer and Demand 5 but no All 4 or ITV Hub. Otherwise it is wonderful. Put the colour on Vivid selection so bright it is amazing. I have had the TV for 2 weeks and with it being an A RATING power consumption, and have noticed that the power used is down considerably, to what my 12 year old Bush TV used. Full HD is a bonus. As well as being able to record onto a HDD.

Horrendous Sound
Bought to reduce the loud background noise in films etc, but keep the sound of voices high enough to hear. Live in flat, don't want to disturb neighbours. Sound was awful. It had a sort of background echo to it most of the time. We tried numerous different setups from the advanced set up options and nothing worked. Also the item we received was faulty kept cutting out when connected it to Amazon Fire Box (this telly doesn't have 40D app, so had to use the fire box to get that).

Fab design, great picture, average sounds
Bought this on the back of some pretty good reviews. Certainly a great looking device (Sony seem to be getting back to their best in this regard) and the picture quality is superb - very quick response times, great colour balance and really solid dark shades. Sound - as is usually the case with such slim designs - is pretty average but I've added the excellent Sony HT-XT2 soundbase. Only bugbear so far is it tends to lose my Wifi settings after firmware updates. Reboot fixes it.

Nice picture, shame about the sound quality
The TV is for a home gym and replaces a Samsung that broke. The picture quality is excellent, connectivity is good and the included apps are adequate. However, there are some issues. The sound is very poor from the built in speakers it really is tinny. Next, I need it wall mounted but my existing wall bracket doesn't fit. The TV requires 300mmx200mm leg spacing so I had to make extension legs for my exiting bracket. Finally the wall bracket covers ALL the rear connections completely!

Great picture and sound quality
First Smart TV so a bit nervous about set-up, but all very intuitive and easy. Definitely the right decision to stick with Sony - the picture and sound quality is consistently good, so worth paying a little bit more than the similar Samsung, and not much in it with my Argos discount voucher. This is also aesthetically a great-looking TV and stand if that kind of thing matters to you. We can't fit a very big TV in the space, but my son still says it's 'sick' for gaming! All delighted.

BRILLIANT TV
THIS IS A REALLY BRILLIANT SONY TV IN TERMS OF PICTURE QUALITY ALONE BETTER THAN MOST IVE SEEN. IT ISN'T A FULL SMART TV DUE TO ITS LIMITATION OF APPS AND NO BROWSER. IT DOESNT HAVE ITV HUB OR CHANNEL 4 APPS. IT HAS BBC, CHANNEL 5 AND YOUTUBE. THE TV SOUND QUALITY COULD BE BETTER SO I BOUGHT STEREO SPEAKERS. CAN ALSO RECORD ONTO A 32GB FLASH DRIVE/MEMORY STICK AND PLAYBACK. THIS IS A QUALITY SONY PRODUCT AND IF YOUR NOT BOTHERED ABOUT THE APPS LIMITATION THEN ID RECOMMEND IT.

Good Sony product.
Typically good Sony product. I hesitate saying 'great' because, ('Shoulda gone to Specsavers') I failed to notice this particular model is not based on the Android O/S, but on the very limited Sony one.....me bad. However, stunning picture and well constructed. I've been a Sony person since the 1970's, apart from a period when Sony seemed to have 'wrested on their laurels' somewhat with mediocre products at rather exorbitant prices. Hope this situation never returns.....Mike.

Boils fast
In HD the pictures are fantastic BUT from an SD source or channel the picture quality is more like a VHS, far far worse than it should be. A DVD (SD) up-converted on BluRay player and viewed on the TV are fine pointing to problems in the TV. So, stick to HD channels. Tried an external hard disk, (must be formatted "fat" or NTFS only), and seems to work well even allowing timed recordings. The poorest design feature is the VISA TV mount. This is 300mm x 200mm. Far from standard.

ONE screw Bible still in place Bought four screws in the PoundShop Hopeless

Good but could be better supported
The HD screen is very good with sound good enough for audible conversations without high volume settings. Looks good in my room. Picture focus is excellent for HD material but for old material it is less good; eg faces in the foreground in focus and those in the near background blurred. As a smart TV it disappoints, giving easy access to Freeview, BBC iPlayer, U-Tube, Netflix BUT NO ITVPlayer. The built-in VEWD TV Cast does not remedy this omission. I resorted to Chromecast.

The not so smart tv
Very disappointed. Until we had the whole thing set up there was no way of knowing how limited the range of smart apps was. We found there was no itv hub, no Google play and no way of adding these. We ended up having to return this tv and exchange it for another brand which had all the features we wanted. On the plus side the picture was excellent and adding a set top box would give the additional features but surely this defeats the object of paying extra for a smart TV!

Perfect for the bedroom
I needed a TV for the bedroom and after reading a number of reviews on Sony, I decided to purchase a 32 inch model. The tuning was straight forward and it picked up and locked onto in excess of 100 channels from the Sutton Coldfield transmitter. It was worth spending a little extra to get full HD, the picture certainly doesn't disappoint. The sound is perfectly adequate for the bedroom. I cant comment on its wi-fi connectivity as I fitted a network cable. 100% pleased.

Awful connectivity, poor/slow Smart TV
Another great TV screen ruined by the "Smart" side and a total lack of connectivity apart from HDMI. Worst is the online specs are incorrect and only Composite is available externally and there are no details on which protocol is supported by Scart, tried RGB but there was no signal, neither does YPrPb or YUV seem supported. Sony helpdesk are yet to email back after 2 weeks. Smart TV is slow and cannot be turned off. Shame as the picture itself is great, very annoying.

My Dad's new TV is excellent
My Dad's old TV died, so I offered to search and order for him - online. he needed one with a Scart socket, as a lot of his equipment is Scart equipped. Many TV's no longer support Scart. We looked for ages, and eventually settled on this TV. The Delivery service was second to none. The TV was simple to set up, The Picture is faultless, and the bonus is - He can understand and use the remote, plus he now has Youtube, which has really made his Day. Thank you Argos.

Good Television
Never had a Sony before always had Samsung, but I saw this TV and decided to buy it. So far been a good buy good solid build , hand set a little on the light side but over all good, the fact that the Country of build is Japan sold it to me! Picture very good crisp and clear even on some dark films etc, no stand buy light which I find odd and a few gremlins with turning on but all seems ok now.....could have been me getting use to the TV.. Argos as usual good.

Recording problems
Excellent TV but seems to have a mind of its own when recording to a 65Gb memory stick.Sometimes it does and some times it does'nt.Set it to record a programme, check that the programme is in the "record title list" and then hope..Our hopes are not always realised!Check on the "error" list and there is our programme. It says the reason for the fault is that it conflicted with another timer recording which is not so.Also USB 1 will not acknowledge the stick.

Wouldn't recommend anyone
After 1 month of having it, the tv started freezing. It couldn't open anymore any app. So I had to do factory reset every week because of it. Now no app doesn't work anymore. I cant connect to amazon video, etc. The tv just doesnt respond. Factory reset doesn't help. Sony doesn't want to take responsibility and I cannot return tv, because of Argos policy. It's been seven months since I bought it. Dissapointed with Argos and Sony. Don't buy this tv!!!

Nice piece of kit
Due to the smaller bezels around the screen it feels smaller than my previous TV. Takes up less room on the cabinet. Really nice crisp display, whether on Freeview or Sky or one of the online apps it has like BBC iPlayer.. It has its own network connection and the setup is really easy. The sound is crisp and clear. This can be changed on setup to suit your own taste with a graphic equaliser. There are other functions I haven't looked at yet!

Second time bought
I first bought the Sony Bravia 13 years ago and was so impressed with how well it has lasted I've bought it again. There have been a lot of improvements in that time. It's now smart with all the apps I need built in which means I can get rid of other streaming devices and the picture quality is really good. Can't speak to sound quality of the TV as I have it hooked up to my cinema surround sound. Also Sony, also 13 years old. Would recommend!

my new tv
Am thoroughly enjoying my new TV. Just would like to stress it did not come on the back of the TV with all it said it should. This was extremely annoying as I'd spent lots of time on the internet looking at the product details to make sure that I bought a TV with all that I needed, so now I've had to buy a multiple scart box for changing between which equipment that I'm using and some of my other cables cant be switched in either.
