I've been using sure mic's since 1979. I like the sound the durability and the price. Playing small dives or big halls I don't worry too much about losing or breaking them.

We bought this kit to replace aging equipment used by our worship team. With a budget of nothing this was a real good buy. The mics were easy to setup we also replaced the cables running to our sound board and how the sound has changed I had to lower the trim level by about half and everything sounds perfect.

I have made several purchases at the Guitar Center in Sacramento near Howe and Alta Arden. On each occasion the employees have been knowledgeable and eager to help. You tell them what you are looking for and they help you select the best product at the best price. Recently, I purchased a Shure PG48 Microphone and Stand package. The item was not on site, but they did, (on the spot) assist me by placing a purchase order over the internet on my behalf. The purchase arrived at my home in time to please a pleasantly surprised graduate. It was easy to set up and and the Shure PG48 Microphone performed beautifully. In this day and age it is hard to find a customer service based company who also carry quality products. When you deal with the Guitar Center it's the standard. Thank You for your service. ... More

Occasionally I am asked to speak at parades, gatherings etc. This package, added to my Fender acoustic guitar amp with XLR mike input gives me everything I need to be heard at a small to medium size venue, indoors and out. The price for the package is less than a one time rental fee from a local music store. This is a win-win deal for sure

Shure mics are always a great choice when it comes to performance, versatility, price and durability. Though I am familiar and have used Shure mics befor, this is my first time using the Pg48s and i am not disappointed by no means, the mics and the entire pakage has stood up to the wear and tear of gigging and maintained its performance...But like all instruments and gear..if you take care of it then it will take care of you. I have been playing in a very low volume jazz quartet. I play drums and percussion but also do some vocals. I was using a Shure SM58 mic for my vocals but since it did not have an off and off switch, it was picking up a lot of sound from my drums. I needed a mic with an on/off switch and didn't want to spend a lot. I ordered this item which included the SM48 mic with the stand and cable. The stand is stable with a nice boom arm.. The cable is thinner then my old cable but works well.. Most importantly, I was very happy with the microphone. It picks up the vocals well, and is very clear. The only issue is that the on/off switch is low profile and doesn't move back and forth as easily as some other mics I've used but it seems to work well. ... More

Unbelievable price for the quality of the products. Even has a mic holder to screw onto the mic stand - I thought I'd have to buy that item seperately, but there it was. Sounds great.

We purchased three of these to use for our live gigs and the sound quality and clarity was really great. Our first gig was outdoors with these and they sounded great even without the rebound of being inside.

11 year old using it as first mic--good value--works great with a guitar amp if you get a decent ($20) xlr impedance transformer. Don't go cheap and just get an xlr to 1/4 inch adapter--it will not sound good on the guitar amp

I can always count on Shure to deliver quality, performance and price. I needed a few handheld mic's with on/off switches for some live radio interviews. This Shure PGA48 worked out great. And a Shure mic cable with Shure logo velcro tie wrap and zip up storage bag was included. Terrific VO microphone for less than the price of dinner for two and free expedited shipping from B&H. What more could you ask for?

Getting back into music, I needed an inexpensive mic and stand to get started. Finding this package deal with a quality Shure microphone was just what I needed to begin with. Originally, this package came with a cheaper mic stand that utilized more tightened knobs, not impressive but it did its job, occasionally loosening up if I move it. Since then it looks like they've upgraded to the mic stand I just got in the mail with my Gear One Starter pack. Although not a SM57, the SM48 is still great Shure quality and clear for amateur recording. It is top heavy, so I recommend a better mic clip. ... More

I'm slowly building my own little home studio. I couldn't pass up this deal, for the price, it's perfect for my needs. If you're looking for a great bundle and you're on a tight budget, I suggest you jump on this. It might not be the "high end" product but the microphones sound great, very clear. The mic stands and cables function perfectly, no issues. No need for phantom power. Happy camper

Purchased this mic for vocal practice at home, and so our young children could enjoy some "karaoke". The mic sounds good with our small equipment, and the stand and cable are of reasonable quality.

It produces a clean, crisp sound on vocals. It has a full-metal body and a mute switch on the top of the mic. The plosives are not great on it, but a simple pop filter can fix that. My biggest problem with this microphone is it's handling noise. It is very prominent. So if you plan to use this handheld, be careful about moving it around. But other than that it is a really great microphone for it's price.
