I guess you get what you pay for with mics. The pros of this mic: crisp and clear audio, good pickup range, good price, nice mute switch. For our purposes, the con outweighs the pro, however: the noise floor is way too high. This thing outputs a loud, high frequency hiss noise (think 1980s-style tape hiss) that makes the mic virtually unusable for us. If youre on a budget and dont mind a loud tape hiss under your audio, this mic actually does have good pickup range, and it does output a crisp signal (its not at all muddy or murky).
