Great Monitor For The Money
I bought this monitor primarily for my camera surveillance system. I bought another Hikvision NVR and needed a monitor for that. So used my Dell 27 1080P monitor that I have on my main computer for the new NVR and ordered this 4K Samsung for the main computer that also covers all my cameras. Hard to switch between sources.
It works well. However, when I connected the monitor with two laptops and switched in between, the button in the back is not working 80% of the time.

Great Monitor
This is the second Samsung U28E590 that I have purchased. I was so happy with my first Samsung, that I wanted another for my other computer station. It has crisp clear images with bright vivid colors.

Great value, great monitor
Extremely nice and well-done monitor. 4K resolution makes a bigger difference than I anticipated; at full 4K it's a knockout and even 1080P looks a lot better - perhaps Samsung is doing a little image processing for us. Utilitarian at best
Upon receipt, the packaging was well protected and easy to assemble and hook up. Calibration of color to the source computer was challenging. The screen is bright, well lit and appears to be of good quality. The refresh rate is acceptable. The hue is a bit more "cool" than I prefer, even after adjustment. Really Nice Monitor
Im very pleased with this. I like the easy for your eyes setting for office work and the full color setting for photography. I have not calibrated this yet but expect good results.

Poor Design
I bought two and I am reasonably happy with the price. I give it two stars due to a poor design. Its is very difficult to remove the display port cable whose plug requires squeezing. If you look at the back they designed a recessed area for all the plugs and I cannot get my fingers in there to squeeze and remove my display port cable. False and Misleading Advertising from Samsung
I bought the Samsung 4K 28 UE590 monitor with high hopes. It was advertised as having over 1 Billion colors, 170 horizontal viewing angle, and 160 vertical viewing angle. I got home with it and immediately hooked it up. At first glance it's a great monitor, however, the vertical viewing angle is no where near 160! It's barely 30!!! Pretty bad for mounting.
1) The VESA mount is on top of the monitor (on the back) so if you're planning to mount this side by side another monitor which has VESA on the middle like pretty much every other monitor on the planet, the monitor will be staggered if you have the one piece side by side VESA arm. 2) TN panel, not IPS. The side to side view is okay but up down color shift is BAD. inches making color shift in the monitor. Should have bought this at a local retailer. So I could return it easily.

Other than for the price, I'm not at all impressed
Very sharp with good color after tweaking the settings...but only from an on-center viewing axis. If you're looking up at the monitor it gets darker the farther off-axis you view it and the reverse is true looking down, it gets lighter. Drastically. Side to side isn't bad. I would recommend to someone looking for a 4k monitor.
One of the best cheap 4k monitor with IPS. and has an eye ease mode, can't really complain about it. So far it has only been less than a month but I will hopefully update my review once it has been half a year or so. I record games at 4k, and my softwares allow me to do so. I also work with photoshop and illustrator so its amazing to see the range of details in my pictures.

Excellent Purchase
Have used this monitor for about 4 weeks now for professional grading and video editing on my 13 Mac Pro. Works as advertised and for the price you can't beat it!

Nice Monitor
I wasn't too thrilled with this monitor at first. I had to spend quite a bit of time not only adjusting the monitor's settings but also resetting some things in windows. Once all of that was done it is brilliant. I am giving this only 4 stars because of all of the fussing it took to get it to look as it should.

Excellent UHD Monitor
This monitor is all that the marketing propaganda says that it will be. Crystal clear image and decent refresh rate. Samsung setup documentation was pretty weak and their help line was not very helpful but with enough playing around with it I've got it so that provides a beautiful picture. I use it for editing photos in Lightroom and Photoshop and it has been great.

Good Monitor for a good price
Overall, the monitor is very good with my only negative comment being that the brightness or color shade changes as you view the monitor at an angle. It is not too bad from left to right but it is noticeable in the vertical direction -- this not really a problem as I am usually seated when using the monitor and my eyes stay at pretty much the same level. The power button is on the back of the panel which makes for a cleaner look but is also a little different from my previous Dell monitors.

this was a direct plug in for my laptop computer. no more squinting to to see my photos in Lightroom and Photoshop. The colors are rich and full. makes life easy. only hitch and not a drawback is that the older computer can not get the recommended optical resolution but I can not tell.
