Good But Some Frustrating Features
Overall, I'm pleased using this camera as my pop in the pocket travel-camera when I don't want to have to carry around heavier gear. I've had a couple of previous iterations of this line. The latest has several improvements and increased capabilities as other reviewers have pointed out. As with all of these cameras the instructions that come with the camera are minimal. I download and printed the manual which helps some. There are some capabiliti... Show More

Get small camera!
Panasonic has done it again. Portable. Compact. Takes great pictures. Has a nice 200mm lens. Solidly built. Three year extended warranty. I always carry the camera along with my slr camera. I slip it in my pocket or my photo vest. Highly recommend for a carry any time all around camera.

Can this thing take a good photo?
I realize I've only had this camera for 2 days but I have not been able to take a decent photo yet. I've had it on Intelligent Auto and on Aperture Mode and neither has produced any thing that a Kodak Instant camera wouldn't produce. Item: I set the ISO to 400 and the aperture to 8 in normal daylight and the shutter speed came out to 1/13. For 550.00 seems like "auto" mode would produce a decent photo on it's own. Although, to handhold this thi... Show More

Great P&S!
Very solid camera. LCD sceen is sharp. I really like having eye level viewfinder. 200mm is just right for a small camera. There are smaller cameras that fit easier in your pocket, but I like having the 200mm zoom. The one inch sensor makes for sharper images. I probably will carry it lots of places that I don't want to take my larger DSLR. The price was excellent and also included an extended warranty.

Nice little pocket camera to cover everything in discrete
I am predominantly a Nikon shooter for stills. For videos, I shoot with GH5. Those cameras are cumbersome when I travel for leisure. That is the main reason I bought Lumix ZS 100. I have been using it for a couple of weeks, and I am loving it. In my pocket now I have a camera equipped with a Leica 25-250 mm (f2.8 - 5.9) zoom lens that can shoot RAW in silent mode. I can shoot 4K UHD and HD smooth videos with this little guy that has a 5-axis in c... Show More

Great pocket / travel camera.
Sold my SLR and lens. No more concern of what to carry. For an amateur, the photo quality is satisfactory. Miss the articulating touch screen. Much easier to get good candid photos when subjects are not aware you have a camera.

Nice all around compact camera
I'm still learning all of the features, but really like that I can easily adjust the aperture in AP mode. The image quality for a compact camera is quite good and the camera's controls and menus are easy to use.

Very nice compact camera
Purchased for travel -- small enough to fit easily into purse or backpack -- shoots raw and has everything needed to make prints if I choose to. Like viewfinder and easy menu.

Pany Service Terrible
WiFi will not connect and Pany answer after chat (no phone ever answers) was to send in my 1 month old for a refurbished. Date setting does not go to metadata so Bridge shows created and modified as only the latter in both spots. Am experienced but still setting up. Viewfinder not only tears but is too small to be of any use and small buttons are a challenge.

Simply a GREAT Little Camera
Used regularly for 2 years now. Pros: Very compact; Super-light, super compact. Great image and video quality. Much better than any phone or PnS. Surprisingly good audio Tons of functions for versatility Good and well placed physical controls Software interface is very well thought out and very easy to access. Great focal length range Excellent macro capability Good image stabilization Customer service EXCELLENT! I torqued the lens as it was clo... Show More

Great camera, but with one major flaw...
I picked up one of these to use as a video/vlog camera that I could easily fit in a cargo pocket. This camera takes REALLY good photos, with plenty of customization options and manual control so you can get some nice shots. The zoom range is a plus for a 1-inch sensor camera body this small. Video quality is also excellent. However there was one crucial flaw that made me decide to return the camera: the stabilization. It works well for photos, b... Show More

Nice camera!
The camera had everything I wanted: small size, integrated lens cap, view finder, and LCD screen. It takes nice photos. The touch screen is great. Haven't figured out how the WiFi gets photos from the camera to our laptop. There are a LOT of features so I've ordered a book on how to use it in addition to the on-line manual. (Probably many more features than I will ever use.) B&H answered my query as what would be a good camera meeting my criteria, and once ordered, it was sent and arrived quickly.

Excellent Camera - Excellent Service
B&H Photo provided quick service and the best deal I could find for the DMC - ZS100. The Panasonic camera has exceeded my expectations during its first two weeks of use. The DMC-ZS100 gathers in light eliminating the need for flash in most lighting conditions. The lens picks up natural coloration and the anti-shake performance is exceptional. Being of the age of shaky hands, ordering the "REVB110B13" Hand Grip for Mid-Size Cameras (Black)" has en... Show More

Excellent Travel Camera
I'm a Nikon DSLR owner and bought the zs100 for travel. Using it around home I really like the camera. Some reviewers complain that it doesn't have a front grip but I have no problem holding the camera. The 1 inch size sensor yields amazing prints that I print at 8x10 size. If you want a ton of features, 4K video, high quality images in a compact camera the zs100 is it. You can't beat the price and the lens is faster that the newer zs200.

Great little camera
I've only had this camera for a week so haven't had time to explore all the advanced features. My first impressions, however, are excellent. I love the compact form, light weight and 10x zoom. I like that the bezel around the lens sets the aperture or shutter speed in the A and S modes. Macro modes seem fine. There are many nifty features, most of which I haven't yet played with, but the post-focus mode is very handy for things like closeups of f... Show More

A Really Nice Camera
I've had a number of point and shoot cameras over the years and although they were pretty good cameras, there was always something missing. I was always looking for something more, maybe better video, a longer zoom or a remote control - something. I read about this camera online , bought one and I couldn't be happier. I am far from a photo expert but I know what I like and I know a nice picture and/or video when I see one. This camera takes amaz... Show More

A great travel alternative to my SLR
I really enjoy taking pictures on vacation. When we do car trips, I usually take my SLR with an assortment of lenses and accessories. For flights, I don't want to bring a lot of heavy gear and find this ZS100 to be a great alternative. The pictures are nearly of SLR quality and it has the flexibility to cover almost every shooting situation. All this in a really compact form factor. If you are willing to go a little bigger, then a Sony RX10 III or IV would be my next choice, but I wasn't willing to give up the small size and weight of this Panasonic.

Tips for using the ZS100/TZ100 online manual on the road!
After my earlier review, I learned more about this excellent camera's 400-page online manual. Some reviewers have justifiably complained about how hard it is to search visually. But since it's a PDF, you can open it on your PC using the free Adobe Reader program, which has its own search field. This allows you to quickly scan the document for specific terms (as long as they match the terms used in the manual). But what about using it on-the-road... Show More

Surprisingly well designed for its size.
As a carry around camera, one can hardly go wrong. It shows a lot of thought in the placement of controls and the menu is up to Panasonic standards. The lens moves in and out fast and the focus is sharp. It really surprised me at the video and audio recording for such a small unit. Seems that the battery life is better than many cameras. it takes the same one as the GH 2 and several other models. The little eye level finder is not great but it do... Show More

Excellent Travel Camera
I purchased this camera specifically to have a pocketable camera to take with me on my business trips to Asia. This was not meant to replace my Sony RX10 III (for vacations) or my Fujifilm X-T1 and lenses for more general photography. For the purpose intended, this camera is great. It feels good in the hand, is responsive and takes very good photos. For best sharpness, I think it works best when stopped down by one stop especially at around the 5... Show More

IQ at the tele end is lacking, otherwise a nice compact camera, decent wide angle and great close-ups. Couldn't get decent tele sharpness though. My wife's LX 7 shots look better. Too bad, so the camera went back
