Great price for 4k quality video. Does need lots of light though. Menu is easy to navigate. Still photos are just decent but good.

Great purchase!
I researched cameras for several months. This one had everything I wanted in a light weight package. The 4K video allows me to pull still images later to use. I don't miss anything. I mostly take action shots indoors. I am a total novice camera user and this camera makes me confident that I am getting a good shot.

Clean 4K
The image coming out of this little beast is simply excellent. This has better low light performance than GH4. I haven't use it for stills yet, only video. I bought this primarily for video.

Packs a punch. Perfect for entry-level or intermediate.
I use this product mainly for recreational purposes. I plan on bringing this camera with me when hiking/camping/being outdoors. I love the size of the camera it's not too small like a Point and Shoot, and it's not too big like some DSLRs. The camera takes great photos and videos as well. The battery life hasn't particularly bothered me, and I have a spare for longer trips. I wish it came with a better lens kit, but it's not a deal breaker for me. Overall, very satisfied with this purchase and would recommend to others!

A Pleasant suprise
I purchased this to reduce the weight and size from my Canon body and lenses. In this respect it achieved the goal. The kit lens captures quality images. The focus is very quick, one of my other criteria for purchase, so I can gets better images of my grandchildren. The options on this camera are plentiful and I continue to try out new ones and learn others. The quick menu is terrific . The function buttons are well placed and have useful functio... Show More

Excellent Camera, Poor customer service
Purchased this camera a few months ago, video quality is stunning and photo's look better then I was expecting. About 1 month after buying the viewfinder would no longer focus and because I live in Canada apparently the warranty is invalid. Had potential to be great but this issue has caused me to change my opinion.

Real bargain for a camera
The Panasonic G-7 offers a great deal in a micro 4/3 format camera at a very attractive price. It offers many features including 4k video if desired. There are nice options for fine tuning jpeg images in terms of color, saturation, mid-tone separation, and noise. A built-in tilt monitor (roll and tip) in the display is very useful. The panorama function works much better than I expected, but doing a full 180 degrees takes some practice to learn h... Show More

Very good camera
The camera works well for me. I plan to use it for bird photography. The camera and telephoto lens are not as heavy as those designed for larger formats.

EXCELLENT EQUIPMENT
Very sophisticated camera with a lot of possibilities but with lack of instructions about how to set up all those features. Otherwise I love this camera

Lumix G7 small big camera
I use it to make content for websites and social media. Great to have a 4k camera at a very nice price. Great image quality, well designed vintage style. What was a surprise for me its the plastic body, it feels quite a toy, I expected a tought material but I understand if you want more pro body you should by GH4.

Awesome video monster
I've been an editor and animator for 20+ and this is my first attempt at shooting video. I've been on countless sets and involved with production all around. This little baby is really nice. Easy to use, plenty of help and support. Got a used SLR Magic 25mm 0.95 lens which makes it even that much better. No complaints at all so far. Highly recommended for video work, haven't even shot a single still with it yet.

Great B Camera for GH4
Exact same sensor and image quality as gh4 (especially in 4k) but with less noise. Feels much smaller and lighter than GH4. The provided lense gives the cropped sensor the wide angle look that is hard to come by on the micro four thirds sensor without distortion. Perfect companion to GH4 and great stand alone 4k recorder

Nice Carry Around Best Bang for Buck Consum Camcorder
I purchased this to use as a Camcorder after returning a Canon Consumer Camcorder from another vendor. For the $ it's hard to go wrong as a camcorder. The Still images are pretty good with the Kit Lens (I can't complain really). The Panasonic Menu system is pretty easy to navigate however many featuers are not explained well in the Advanced Manual. I have a pretty good knowledge of features and their use but some need additional explanation. The ... Show More

Amazing Panasonic G7 Camera!
Camera was package well! No damages on the camera. So far the camera has taken great pictures and the quality of movies are ultra HD. Modes are easy to understand and easy for settings. One con is that the shoulder strap can often fell and you have to fix it. Other than that this camera is a beast! I recommend it!

Superb camera with excellent features and image quality!
The G7 is the product of Panasonic's many years in the micro 4/3 category. The 4K video capture as well as it's 4K Photo modes are unequalled and are class-leading for cameras well above it's price range. The ergonomics (handling) are excellent with great feel and lightweight heft. As a Sony A7II full frame shooter, I know what superb image quality is and the G7 does produces very nice images. The micro4/3 standard allows for very small lightweig... Show More

Everything I need in a camera
I purchased this with a Rode Videomic Go, and I am very happy with the results. It is quite a bit lighter that my previous camera, a Canon Rebel XT. I do wish it was water resistant, like the GH3 and GH4, but that is not a major problem. The body is plastic, but feels solid and well built. I probably would've gone with the GH3, before I saw that the G7 shoots 4K. Great camera overall, definitely would recommend.

Compliments the GH4 Almost Perfectly
The G7 is light, compact, and powerful. The 4K modes match the GH4 almost perfectly and provides for a great b-camera if the other, more powerful Panasonic mirrorless camera is your main camera. The only downside so far is no 1080 ALL-I 24p recording mode and no way to monitor audio through headphones, if you need it. Great price for a powerful camera. If you're just starting out, go for it.

Underrated and awesome
I really wasn't sure what to expect from the G7. I gave it a pass when it first came out and now i'm regretting that. This is an extremely capable camera, has great controls, features, and overall is one of my favorite cameras to take around with me. I love having the touch screen although the interface is a bit cluttered and could be better enhanced for touch. Quality for video is top notch and photos are still great. The AF is quick and has no ... Show More

Great go to camera
This is my go to camera when I don't want to carry around my Canon 70D. The G7 offers 4K picture taking and 4K video. The menu is pretty easy to follow and the camera was easy to set up. Still I have a lot to learn. But being smaller and lighter the G7 is my choice as a backup to the 70D.

Awesome
I've been a video editor and animator for 15+ years now and this is my first venture into shooting. Picked a good one to learn on. Super easy once you understand the basics. I highly recommend this awesome video monster paired with a good prime lense with a fast aperture.

Bang for Your Buck!
I bought the camera as an intro to videography. The 4k video is what attracted me to the camera and it is absolutely wonderful. The photo capabilities you get are not the greatest but it is nothing to scoff at. The camera is very user friendly with many buttons available to customize. It is a compact and light allowing for travel with the camera. The only complaint I have about the camera is the fact that it does not have image stabilization in the body.

Killer camera for what you're getting
You simply can't beat this for the price. Especially from a video standpoint this is essentially a stripped down GH4. Great 4k video quality. if all you need is a video cam to shoot 24fps stuff, this is your guy, with video features that blow canon dslrs out of the water. You are taking a hit on stuff like build quality, waterproofing, slow motion, etc, but we're talking about a huge difference in price here between this and the GH4. And it's not too shabby for stills either :P
