Panasonic TZ70 12MP 30X Zoom Compact Digital Camera - Silver
Compact sized but fully featured!
Wanted a new camera as my old one is now about 6 years old and too bulky to carry around. I wanted one that was compact, yet had as many features as possible, as my son is going to be taking photography for GCSE and I figured it would be good to practice on when he needs to. And I wanted to be able to point and shoot for myself, without worrying about what everything does. This camera seems to be ideal. A friend who is a semi-pro photographer put it through it's paces and he was impressed.

Good value
My only serious criticism of the TZ70 concerns the complexity of everyday operation and rather too much gobbledegookery in the instruction 'guide.' I accept that much of my confusion stems from the fact that the controls work so differently from those of the Nikons with which I had become familiar. The TZ70 is also just a bit too big for jeans pockets, while the sockets for the (provided) cord to connect it to my PC are non-standard, which obliges the owner (me) to pack yet another cord.

Great camera for a decent price
Although the TZ70 is 3 years old now, it’s still perfect for what I needed - a decent enough resolution with plenty of zoom, and small enough to take on days out, etc. Images are good, although fairly similar to a high-end phone, but the ability to adjust aperture and shutter speed, plus the zoom, mean that you can get shots a phone would never manage. It has preset scenes to accommodate tricky shots such as through glass or backlighting. And WiFi lets you download to a phone immediately.

A really quality camera
I did a great deal of research before buying this camera and it has paid off! I've not had it long enough to get as much use as I will but so far the images have proved to be excellent. having a viewfinder is a great step forward for me after struggling to see the screen in bright light on my other cameras. As it is electronic it also shows the screen information. Only moan why aren't all mini USB sockets the same? This camera has a different USB port to other items I own!

Excellent camera
I'd being looking for a new top end compact camera for a while, and had done quite a lot of research before buying. This little beauty came out top. It doesn't disappoint. The image quality is excellent, it does suffer a little at full zoom, so if your looking for lots of zoomed shots look to an SLR. It's fairly easy to use, the control dial makes life easy once you've picked your shooting option from full manual to I-Auto. The EVF is excellent. Phone App also very good.

Super camera quality photos
Love this camera, it does so versatile and does so much, the zoom is so good and I particularly like that it has a viewfinder. The quality of the finish of the photos are exceptional, I haven't had time to use this camera to its full potential, waiting for better weather. It is compact and will save me taking a huge bag of lenses when on holiday, great for travelling, always ready for a quick shot. I would recommend this camera for someone serious about taking photos

Good features, bad photos
This is the third Panasonic camera I'd bought. I was drawn to it by it's zoom & great features, especially the viewfinder. However, the picture quality was shockingly bad - there was no sharpness to the photos, they all seemed almost fuzzy, and no definition or clarity. I tried several different locations and situations but sadly none of the photos were up to the standard of my older Sony and Canon. Took it back and will try to find something better.

Reliable make
Brought this as a replacement for my old but much loved Sony. Had a lumix years ago, one of the best compacts at that time. This model certainly out shines all others, the huge amount of programs and features will leave you reeling.Marvelous new ideas built into a nice size body.Ive brought a grey model, huge zoom backed up by impressive image stabilization.only couple minor niggles though, WiFi not easy to set up and body lightweight.

Bought for a trip to Grand Canyon
I wanted a good compact for this trip rather than lugging my usual equipment, lenses etc. It fulfilled everything I needed and more, I haven't even tried some of the features, there are so many. I found the view finder alternative to the screen really useful in bright sunshine when its hard to see the image. And the zoom is good too. Ideal for travelling, but I will probably use it most of the time.

The Panasonic Lumix TZ70 is a great compact camera
I have a Lumix TZ40 camera and the TZ70 is a great upgrade with a 30 x optical zoom, also with intelligent zoom at 60 x and 120 x. The electronic viewfinder is very useful on bright sunny days. This camera has so many different settings; but the intelligent auto setting and image stabilisation produces some very good photos in most situations. Highly recommended.

This is a quality camera.
This is my second Panasonic Lumix with this TZ70 replacing a TZ55 that I discovered didn’t bounce! The camera has a quality Leica lense and the functions are all similar to my earlier model. Photography seems quicker with this model and the quality of photograph is excellent. All in all, this is a camera package I would certainly recommend.

TZ 70 camera by Panasonic
This camera is superb. Having previously owned TZ 60 which I damaged I decided to go with the latest upgraded panasonic. As of yet I have had no problems and don't expect any from such a great camera. The addition of the optical viewfinder is great to use when shooting in bright sunlight which makes the image on the screen difficult to see.

Reasonable quality for the price. Ok for snaps
This was an upgrade of my previous camera so I was confident with my purchase. It is more cheaply made than my previous camera, more flimsy and plasticky. There are a lot of controls to get to grip with so I am still learning. It was a good price (although £30 cheaper with Amazon which I realised too late)

The quality of the photos has impressed me
This camera is very easy to use and takes very clear photographs. On my first trip out with it, I have been very pleased how clear the picture quality is. The manual isn't written very well but by using trial and error, I figured out how to connect it to my internet provider and move photos onto my iPad

So far so good
Not had the camera long but very happy with it so far. Does most of what I want it to do in intelligent auto mode. Picture quality excellent. Will need time to get to grips with the many other mode options. Written instructions a bit weak but disc provided for detailed guidance.

Superzoom camera fit for purpose
Excellent superzoom camera - especially as a pocket travel camera. This is an older model now but performs better in low light than the newer versions. Likewise it also makes it great value for money. Good build quality and a trusted pedigree for this type of camera.

Great advanced camera
A good step above the simple compact camera. It allows a substantial 30x zoom and you can leave it to make all the decisions or select your own exposure settings. A very solid build quality. A more modern camera throughout. Looking forward to our next holiday.

Fantastic camera
I love this camera it is so easy to use and the picture quality is amazing the zoom is really good I took some pictures of birds and was made up with the detail it is the best camera I have had. Also I was able to download the manual from the Argos website.

Good little Camera
Have had Lumix cameras before and this seems a good camera with enough features to keep you busy. Like all cameras just need to get used to all the options however the pictures seem good in all conditions with a great zoom. This camera is worth a look.

Replaced my Fuji camera with a Panasonic
I really liked Fuji compact cameras but have had 3 faif on me. After much deliberation I opted for the Panasonic TZ70. So pleased I did as it has a great lens and a 30x zoom the photo of a blackbird was brilliant. Every feature of it's eye was visible.

Lumix quality
I have updated from an original 15 years old, same easy to operate Lumix camera new features which are easy to use if you take time to read the manual. Got my quality of picture back, the zoom is something else only a slight quality loss. I

Great camera, does exactly what I want
A pity the argos survey link you sent me twice didn't work. No way of contacting argos so I left a message with sainsbury but they called on a Sunday so that was a waste of time. The store staff were excellent unlike the website

smart compact camera
This is an excellent small camera that performs as good as my big SLR's would recommend to anyone who is not wanting to carry around larger cameras and especially good for holidays and wildlife photos.
