Better than expected..
Excellent fun lens. Surprisingly, it gives very good results, for the price paid. Very happy and strongly recommend to all beginners, and others!

Fun and useful lens
This lens is nice for landscape photography. I do a fair bit of correction of the perspective afterwards, in order to get an effect that is a bit more wide-angle than fish eye, but it's also fun to have the option to get the distorted perspective too. For such a low price, I did not expect super high quality, but had read that many other reviewers were pleasantly surprised. The same is true for me : the quality is certain good for my purposes. Exceeded expectations
I was really impressed by the bang for buck quality you can get with this lens/cap. Under ideal lighting the f/8 is not an issue. center sharpness is quit good and it's just a fun lens to have around, it's more than an expensive body cap.... It actually takes great pictures without the expense for a real fisheye lens. I also have the 15mm cap lens and it is equally as good but the 9mm really is much more dramatic and fun... get one..

A bit of fun with purpose
This is no Zeiss, but still it's built by Zuiko, the Olympus lens factory, famous for scientific lenses stretching back many decades. Cheap, easy to use and with acceptable results, the lens cap lens has 3 'focus' settings: very close, middle distance and infinity. The results are relatively sharp, although not as clean as using a proper fisheye. However, for a bit of fun and something different in terms of result, this little lens is well worth the $100 I spent.

Ojo de Pez para tu pez
Ok, es un super lente wide angular ojo de pez de una gran marca en menos de 90 palos! Por Dios! Grandioso.. lo he usado y particularmente me encanta, ntido sencillo enfoque permanente.. Cero quejas, solo necesita una buena mente creativa que lo opere y listo!

Changing my review
When I first got this lense, I didn't realize the slider on the front did anything. I hadn't planed to use this for much other than creating reflection maps. Everything I shot turned out fuzzy. when you slide the front slider to open it from it's housing, There is a slight notch in the middle. This represents general focus. Sliding to far brings it to focusing on the horizion. I have to tell you, this lense is very impressive. I don't know how olympus gets such great results from this glass. It's not perfect, but wow, it's not a toy either.

Practical indeed!
For obvious reasons this is not a pro series lens so we can't compare it to one. It's cheap, made of plastic and is optically similar in quality to todays mobile phones so pixel peepers should stay away. But if we compare it to all the other body caps out there, this one is the best. This 9mm beauty doubles as my extra wide lens when I need to fit everything in or when I want a fisheye effect. I like to travel light so this compliments my 17mm f2.8 and 40-150mm f4-5.6 just fine. Mounted on EM-10. Everything can fit in my pockets!

great small everyday fisheye
really small, with cap included, great fun image! the lense has to be in your pocket, it took no place at all !!

Fun lens for travel!
This lens combined with my Olympus micro 4/3 camera is the perfect lens to travel with. The fish eye effect adds a fun perspective to your images and at 9mm is a great wide angle lens to capture the entire scene. For the price it's great,

Quality wise you cant go wrong for what your paying for specially after post production if you boost your clarity ..... Great Lens for the money
I use this on the bmpcc for when I need daylight landscape shots. It really is convenient being able to stick this camera in my pocket now with this lens.

Fun & useful; you get what you pay for
All things considered, this is a fun little lens. The limited focus options (near, middle, infinity) make it a little frustrating, but I was able to get some good results nonetheless with landscapes and larger interiors.

Light and fun to use
This lens makes my GH4 super light when I use it on my Beholder 3-axis gimbal. The quality of the lens is good for general stuff. The nice thing is that its focus is fixed while shooting so no worries about out-of-focus stuff. This lens is nice and wide for general vacation footage.

Great little lens for the price
For the price, this is a great little lens. It's fun to use and pretty fool-proof - if one is careful with focusing. I use it on a GH4 with focus peaking, so I am assured of proper focus. Without focus peaking it would be hard to obtain consistent accurate focus, because the focus switch (it's not a dial) has only three stops - but can be placed between stops. As a fisheye, I expected barrel distortion. But it's not noticable if the subject does ... Show More

Fun, useful, cheap
The fisheye distortion and wide field of view are interesting, and you can make some unique looking pictures, but it's best to be outside because you need plenty of light. All in all, it's cheap and small enough to not cause too much grief to your wallet or your kit bag, and does take some quirky photos. This isn't a lens that will blow your mind but will give you the ability to have some fun without breaking the bank.

Cool
This is a fun, cheap, super wide lens that weighs nothing, taking up no space. Perfect for daytime shooting. Im more likely to bring my camera around with me everywhere I go now that I can just throw it in a pocket. Theres some chromatic aberration, that can be corrected in Lightroom. My one qualm is that when opening the lens, there are three focus distances that it clicks to: infinity, hyperfocal, and near. Since the lens is so wide, basically ... Show More

I'm glad I made this purchase
I needed a wide angle lens for landscape work but found it difficult to part with the money for an ultra wide angle lens. I had used a Nikon 10.5mm fisheye on my Nikons and corrected the images using either DxO Labs software or Photoshop CC. I downloaded some fisheye images from various sites (Pixel Peeper, etc.) and processed the photos into rectilinear images. I was impressed to the point that I was willing to give the Olympus lens a shot. I do... Show More

Cheap fun
Given the price, this lens is really a lot of fun. It makes my GX7 easily pocketable in a jacket and adds a different dimension to taking pictures in the woods, on city streets, or even for interior shots. Also makes for really fun GoPro-style video. Sure, the optical quality isn't going to blow you away, especially in the corners. But most people looking at your pictures won't be magnifying the corners of your photos to look for imperfections; they'll be enjoying an unusual and fun perspective. Also, +1 on the great tip listed here on defishing images in Lightroom.

Great fisheye lens!
I thought of this as more of a toy than anything, but was persuaded to get it based off some nice images i saw online and my lack of any wide angle lens. I love it... it is really easy to use on-the-fly, and makes for a nice and small setup. Overall I am very impressed with some of the images I have gotten out of this lens and especially for the price I would highly recommend it!

for the money this is a nice lens.
For the money you can't beat it. It takes good pictures, but is limited. For a wide angle lens that has a fixed f stop it good. I am happy with my purchase.

A great addition to a small micro 4/3 camera body. For its size and price the lens exceeds expectations. A little vignetting but not bad.

Cool little lens
If you enjoy going for a walk looking for creative oportunities this lens is a must have. The next time you find a place perfect for a fisheye lens you'll be able to create your shot. It's small enough to keep in an unused corner of you camera bag without adding any additional weight. It is not for pro use, or pixel peeper photographers. It's just a fun little lens that makes great quality images for the price. It will help you put fun and creativity back into your photography.
