Works as advertised. I have not used the coax, but the optical with the included cable works well. Now I can use my older, but powerful receiver with the new TV.

I give this product 5 stars, two thumbs, and an athletic high five all in one simply because it does the job. I am a quasi saavy consumer when it comes to electronics but I really had no idea that I couldn't convert my HD TV's audio signal (5.1) into analog with just any converter. This one, however, has done the job and when Apple TV finally flows through to your old school pioneer amp and speaker system, life is gooooooood!!
