Kensington Expert Mouse Wireless Trackball
UPC's:
I wouldn't recommend it.
Had a Logitech M570 wireless for many years but it started getting flaky and I really don't need wireless on my desktop pc so went with this Kensington Expert. Didn't like it right off the bat. The trackball is huge and now I can't close my PC desk drawer. The scroll ring is noisy and very low resolution, The ball gets in the way of using the buttons. The Kensington Orbit may be a better overall wired trackball mouse. The M570 has it beat by a mile.

A great tool for video editing!
That trackball is great! Fully customizable so I can put my keyboard shortcuts right on the trackball. Plus its great when working with 2 screens cause you can go from one end of the screen to the other with just a flick of the fingers, no wrist movement. That makes it real easy on the tendons. I'd recomend it the anyone working long hour on the computer. I learned a little trick to get even more spin out of the ball: rub a little pledge on it.

4-Button USB Expert Pro Mouse Trackball
Much prefer the trackball to the mouse. I use an iMac with a 27 screen and the trackball allows me to zip the cursor across the screen quickly with a minimum of effort. Also, the Kensington trackball has four programable buttons which I use to bring up my email or stock portfolio or a preferred application with a simple click of one of the four buttons. Trackball doesn't need cleaning as often as a mouse and when required, is simple to clean.

Solid
Over ten years ago I used the huge Kensington cue ball track ball. When it wore out, a replacement was rather expensive so I tired several different mice and trackballs. I've spent much more looking for a decent substitute but when B&H ran a special on the Expert, I bit. I am happy I did. It is steady which works well with a hand that isn't so much any more. The scroll ring is a bit awkward for me but a neat feature that I'm trying to learn.

Not bad
I was worried about all the software support problems that others had but everything worked right out of the box, without installing anything, on both Win7 and MacOS. Once you get some finger oil on the ball, it's ridiculously smooth. So A+ there. I wish it was a bit more ergonomic and wasn't shaped to flare your wrist up so much, so I deducted a star. I'll have to find some custom solution to solve this. Otherwise it's a great trackball.

Great trackball
I would have given this track ball five stars if it had a more fluid feel. I remember the original trackball and how fluid it felt. This one has a scroll wheel which is an excellent addition. The wheel also lacks smoothness but it has a more natural feeling when scrolling. Over all it is great trackball. Quite handy for larger desktops where you find yourself picking up your mouse all too many times to get to the other side of the screen.

Took me a few days but I grew to love it
Took me a few days until I get used to how the trackball works, but it's been amazing since. It's easier to move, especially if you have to skip around over a few monitor screens. The wheel and trackball allow you to use different fingers for control unlike regular mouse where heavy work is loaded on just 2 fingers. A bit pricey but if your fingers are getting tired from clicking. Give this or other trackball a try.

Reduces my arm pain and is faster
Ive used many trackballs and this is the best. I use them because a mouse will make my arm hurt a lot more than a trackball. The billiard ball sized trackball makes it easy and quick to navigate 3 monitors while still being precise and the button layout and scroll ring are placed well.If you have arm pain from a mouse, you should try a trackball, it takes a few days to get used to but i cant work without one now.

My solution to tendonitis!
Until someone told me about this product, I was unable to use an external mouse. Every one I tried brought on painful bouts of tendonitis! This limited the kind of keyboard I could use. I was tearing my hair out over unsatisfactory touch pads and other such solutions. Occasionally I knock the trackball onto the floor and have to crawl around my office to retrieve it. Other than that, no downside to this product!

There is no other trackball that comes close...
Love this trackball. None other like it. Probably why it has been around for decades. Have used many trackballs over the past years and this is the only one that has such a nicely weighted ball and gives me the control I want. The scroll ring makes reading long docs or web pages a breeze. Great offer on B&H... could pass up getting a new one. Had the last one for 11 years. Shipped quickly. Highly recommend.

Awesome Trackball
I'm used to working on Keningston Trackballs in various recording studios, and I really wanted one in my office as well, so I jumped on B&H's recent flash sale on these. It's a really nice upgrade over the logitech marble trackball I was using previously. The ergonomics are night and day, thanks to the wrist rest and the larger size. It's also nice to have the scroll ring, which was absent on the logitech.

Great product
Have used the expert mouse since it was a two button trackball in the late 90s. this product has always been very good at allowing fine movements on screen. the only problems even encountered was the failure of the left button switch on my original mouse. also dust would enter the cavity and cause erratic behavior of the mouse. this problem has been eliminated with the use of the optical tracking system.

I have purchased this product previously only not wireless
This is the 5th Kensington Trackball I've had and I, obviously love them. This is, however, the first wireless trackball I've purchased I'm having problems with it. First it didn't want to load properly, than, once I got it working properly for a bit of time it stopped and I no longer have the red light and it doesn't work at all. It's become very frustrating and I'm back to using my old trackball,

Awesome product
I had the first version of this. When i received my new 5k iMac from B and H it was the first accessory I purchased. Fluid movement, it really maximizes efficiency especially on a large or multi monitor(s). I am a professional video producer and photographer and it is a great tool. The scroll ring takes a few days of good use to really break in, but other than that it is perfect right out the box.

Best version yet, but the scroll wheel is still loud
The scroll wheel is still loud and makes the usual grinding sound. If you touch the scroll wheel without even rotating it, it makes a pretty audible click sound. Everything else about this mouse is perfect. Wireless was easy to setup with Kensington Trackball Works software on a MacPro5,1 running Mavericks 10.10.5. I'd highly recommend it, but don't expect an improvement on the scroll wheel.

Works good, some things to consider.
Trackball works great I'm pretty happy with my purchase but there are some downfalls. 1. The slide ring is not very smooth 2. I have to open the Trackball preferences for my custom settings to go into effect when I unplug my Trackball or turn my computer off. Pretty annoying. 3. I wish there were a horizontal scroll option. Overall work good but wish I knew these things before purchasing.

Still trying to decide
Just bought this mouse for audio editing. I upgraded from the smaller two button mouse. I have used it for a few days and I'm still trying to decide if I like it. I really love the extra buttons and scroll wheel. I'm unsure about the ergonomics. I have discomfort with any mouse, but I was hoping that the wrist pad would help. It has helped with some discomfort, but possibly cause others.

No instructions limits use.
The product arrived on time, and it looks good. Unfortunately, there are no instructions, so I cannot use the device. There are no links to an instruction booklet or other guide. Having never used a trackball, I cannot intuit how to make it work. It appears to have four buttons, and two are disabled. I'm putting it on a shelf until I can find someone to provide me with instructions

Didn't work for me
I'm a bass player, so the tendonitis pain I have in my arm is related to index finger, pointer finger and thumb. I found this mouse actually made things worse. This is a GREAT trackball mouse though. Great quality. Loved the 4 assignable buttons. Great for people with shoulder and neck tension due to mousing. Bottom line: Extra use of fingers and thumb was not a good fit for me.

Love Working with it Setting it up Was a Challenge
This is an ergonomic delight, so easy to use, so smooth and precise. I wish installation instructions were done to the same standard. I finally managed to get it set up on my Mac, and I like the software Preference Pane. It makes it easy to customize. It's a bit above similar Logitech software. Guys, you've GOT TO work on your installation manual it leaves a lot to be desired.

You Have To Love It
I have been using Kensington's Expert Mouse since 1999 and I just do not know why so many others have not made the change. It just simplifies my work flow. I do have issues every so often with scrolling only because after years of use things do wear. Kensington is pretty good with their warranty but this time I had to purchase a replacement because my mouse was in use 7 years.

I've been a fan for a long time
This is at least my third Kensington trackball. I've been using oneexclusively for at least 10 years, probably more like 20. I find it easier to use, ergonomically, than a mouse. At the moment I have two going simultaneously, one on my old computer, one on my new computer. Thrilled that I can get it wireless now! (P.S. Their tech support is great too. I'm very un-mechanical.)

I love Kensington Trackballs
I love the Kensington Trackballs as my hands do not get tired using and they provide for much easier screen accuracy in my work. Only downside is the rings on these models isn't as smooth as I'd like, but functionally it works great. I have at least one on each of my computers, sometimes two when I want to switch between hands. Great price from B&H, so I bought 2 more.
