The Soundbar made easy
Was quite pleasantly surprised just how easy to install and get up and running this actually was. The instructions weren't needed as it was all very apparent from opening. It really does also give some great sound, minimal if any 'speaker' noise and is just as good when playing music from a phone via the Bluetooth element too. I really can't believe how clear it all sounds. I'be already recommended this to friends and family. Even my grandad bought one and installed it himself!

simple to use with simply great sound
The bar is compact, easy to use and great sound. With the bluetooth setting i can use it as a main sound system for the house when i connect my mobile. The remote is small, a bonus for some but for me its rather annoying as i am more likely to loose it. The bar has auto off when it is ideal for more than 15mins which is fantastic. Only negatives are the bright green light at the front, rather distracting as it sits under my TV. The bar also does not auto turn on when you active the tv.

The world has gone mad...
Well.... what an absolute disaster. A soundbar, its fundamental purpose is to bring a cinematic experience into the room right? So, you put a film on and would n't really anticipate having to turn the soundbar on 8 times would you? Wrong. This is exactly what you have to do. We tried all cables inc an optical and every time, the soundbar could not detect sound and went into stand by, this happened every 15 minutes. Solution: soundbar returned for a refund. A truly pointless product.

Good sound for the price
I had problems setting this up using the AV cable and couldn't get it to work with my Hitachi TV. It would only work using the headphone connector and there was initial interference. The Argos help desk explained that Hitachi TV's only receive input through the AV port and that the headphone connection has to be used. They sent me a new headphone cable that was far superior to the supplied cable and the sound is good. It's a pity that this info is not included in the instructions

Excellent quality overall.
The soundbar has very good quality audio overall and is well designed and easy to use. The best audio quality option here, out of the 3, is optical so it would be best to buy an optical audio cable before or after you buy this but Bluetooth and aux are still good. My only issue with the product is that the optical port is facing down which means if you want this product stood on a desk (which mine is), then you have to raise it up slightly. Overall, I would highly recommend.

Hitachi Sound bar
A very good sound bar for a really good price. Easy to set up and good connectivity. It has a good sound range and is only really missing the extremely low bass that comes from having a sub woofer. It has more than enough volume for my needs as well. The only slight downside on the design is that if you are connecting and optical cable the sound bar won't lay flat as the connector extends beyond the bottom of the unit so you need to raise it slightly or wall mount it.

Stopped Working
I bought this soundbar as part of a deal when buying a Hitachi TV. We set the TV up,the soundbar appeared to work, but stopped. The light was on, so it had power but no sound was coming out. Couldn't turn it off using the remote, as it had frozen. We unplugged it at the wall, waited, then plugged it back in. Worked for a bit, then froze. Has done this for a couple of days, and we've given up. I've reset the TV, but that isn't the problem. Will be taking it back as soon as we can.

amazing
This sound bar is fantastic. It is easy to set up and use. For the price you cant go wrong. We bought this so we could take away on a break with us so we can still be able to disco. The sound quality is amazing, can go quite loud if you want it too. Since coming home from our break we have hooked it up to the tv and it has made our sound for films much much better as we do not get a tinny sound anymore. I would highly reccomend this product to anyone looking for a sound bar.

Good value for money
I had a problem with the sound from my ageing flat screen TV and needed either a soundbar or new TV / TV + soundbar. I wasn't looking for anything too loud or powerful, as I live in an apartment and value my health too much to risk upsetting all the neighbours. I'm very pleased with this soundbar - It does just what I need and is more than capable of a big sound in my front room (Which is around 33ft by 15ft). It was very simple to set up and good value for not a lot of money.

Pointless remote and low overall power
I bought this to accompany a new tv for the bedroom and knew that the sound would need to be boosted with a sound bar. The sound quality is sufficient, if a little quiet, the biggest problem was the remote or lack of. I would have happily kept this product had the remote actually worked more than 3 feet away from the tv. While there are far better sounding options for a higher budget, this did the trick. Shame the remote didn't. Returned and bought a sound base instead.

Flawed
The soundbar was very simple to set up with an optical lead, looked great and in general the sound quality was not bad considering the price. However I had to turn the volume setting up to 80 - 90% of the maximum to make dialogue audible and at that level the speakers emitted a high pitched background whine which was most irritatingly obvious in the quiet sections. I don't know whether mine was faulty or if it's a device design fault but I took it back. The remote is poor too.

sold as Hitachi tv package but not compatible.
disappointed.Never written a neg report for any item. Bought this soundbar from Argos as part of a tv package with 42HXT42UH on 28th sept. Looks fine but sound only came out of right hand side not entire soundbar. The 2nd lead attachment supplied with red and white audio plugs did was not compatible with the supplied tv. This is obviously more a marketing issue and was even more let down prepared to buy an audio optical lead to find supplied tv did not have this output either.

It's ok.
Sound quality is ok. It's not especially loud but will have a bit more bass that your Tele's sound. I bought it for the bedroom where I have a 32" screen TV. The sound is better than that and has a more bass. If you have a large decent TV screen in the living room I'd invest in something better than this to be honest. But for upstairs it's great. It also doubles as a Bluetooth speaker which is handy. All in all I'm happy as it does what I bought it for but I'm not blown away.

Looks good and sounds good
I bought this to sit in front of a new LG tv, also bought from Argos. Was the only one not too long to sit on my tv stand without sticking out each side! I read previous reviews and agree that the sound is good. The remote is a little small and keeps getting lost down the side of the sofa! I had some problems connecting it to the tv as the supplied lead wouldn't fit into the back of the tv, so had to invest in an optical cable too. All in all a good product for the price.

not worth the price
although on the argos listing you might be fooled into thinking that it has 120 watts output it has only 30 watts and that's debatable the sound is very weak and if turned above 50% you get a slight buzzing sound, there is no sub woofer so the sound is very limited the remote is small with blister buttons that don't look they will last very long it just about enough to plug into laptop put the extra few quid and purchase one with subwoofers don't waste your cash on this one

Good performance sound bar
As a wearer of hearing aids I purchased this to help with TV sound. It does the job well for the price. Having read reviews I found it v helpful to connect via the optical outlet as was Hitachi sound bar connecting to Samsung set. Therefore important to buy the extra leads at fiver as not supplied. Somewhat difficult to attach to the set as only goes one way. Then use the Hitachi remote with the volume on TV turned right down. A good buy. I now hear sounds missed before.

Great soundbar at a reasonable price
Very easy to set up and use. Sound is surprisingly good for the price of this soundbar. We can actually hear people's voices clearly while watching films or tv dramas etc. The only negative would be that the green led on the front is far too bright and distracting but we overcame this by taping a small square of black card over it and it still works ok. The remote handset is very small but still does the job ok. Can't comment on the Bluetooth as I haven't tried this yet.

An amazing sound, it transforms my tv!!
I’m so glad I purchased this sound bar, and just sorry I didn’t do it sooner!! The sound from my tv was quite sharp and unpleasant to my ears, and that’s putting it mildly! I now feel as if I have a new tv. The sound is so soft, if that’s the correct way to describe it :-) It sits perfect in front of the tv and actually looks part of it. It was so simple to connect and I’m nearly 70 so if I can do it anyone can. I think I’ll buy one for my bedroom tv now.

Really good sound for the price
I ordered online and picked it up that afternoon from local Argos Once I got it home it was unpacked, installed and running, in about 5 minutes The remote is basic but easy to use and works with the sound bar well The quality of the sound is pretty good at the price and using the bluetooth function all the music on my phone sounds crisp and clear I also use the wired input from my dab radio and it's even better All in all a good buy at the price for me anyway

Great Sound Bar - Very Poor Remote
This Sound Bar really woke up my Samsung Smart TV. I can now actually hear things.BUT, the supplied Remote Control with this Sound Bar is very poor. The buttons do not engage, it just feels that it is going to break very soon. I would have quite happily paid a bit more to have a remote that is going to last. If the remote does break, then either the Sound Bar will become redundant, or I'll try and match it to a One4All type remote, which you should not have to do.

Poor sound quality and that annoying light!
I would not recommend this soundbar to anyone due to two reasons. The first is the sound quality, 120W suggested but it was no where near that level. The second reason and probably more annoying was the distracting light they decided to put on the front of the soundbar right in the middle. As you can imagine, if you are sitting watching your TV at night, the green light emanating or blue if you happen to get the bluetooth working. Absolute nightmare!

Cheap soundbar, good overall quality.
Bought this sound bar for use with a TV in the bedroom where the internal speakers had started to fail. The first one I purchased was a total dud and failed to turn on or do anything. Got this exchanged and had better luck. Easy to setup and get going, but keep in mind this isn't a £300 premium sound bar system, so when this is turned up quite loud there are some vibrations caused by the plastics its built with but generally is good for regular TV use.

does the job for the price
bought for the kitchen to use via bluetooth so didn't want to spend a fortune. Sound is good, could be a little bassier but there's no way to adjust it. Doesn't come with audio out cable so just as well I had one of those for the times when bluetooth interferes with wi-fi. reasonable remote unlike the cardboard ones that come with the cheaper makes. Handy auto standby for when I've finished cooking. And also not ridiculously overpacked, mostly cardboard.
