Definitely required with the Elite Pro headset
Has improved the quality of the sound greatly, and more importantly improved the sound of my mic recording when capturing game footage, without the TAC y recordings would pick up all background noise like mouse clicks, key taps and my dad sneezing in the next room, with the TAC all background noise is cancelled out, also being able to seemlessly control the level of game sound and vocie chat is a great addition, love the feel of the switches too.

Worth buying with the elite pro headset makes the gaimng experience a whole lot better can cancel out background noises and highlight individual noises like footsteps etc giving you a edge above other gamers while online.

If you want to get the best of the turtle beach elite pro headset then you need this as it gives you loads of different sound opinions very impressed

Not that great
I like the many physical controls (vs Astro MixAMP), but audio quality, it's worse than the Astro MixAMP. It has backlighting for all text except the top of the four levels... why only have it on "preset" and "surround mode"... One click mute is great. Line Input always goes to stream output (Astro MixAMP can be set so line-in audio, eg music, is not on the stream-out, which was great for the Astro's)
