Google Nest Mini with Philips Hue B22 White Bulb

not a vast improvement on the old google mini.
i bought this so i could have unique control over my bedroom lights, but sadly after about 1/2 an hour hadn't succeeded so i gave up and asked alexa to do it instead (took about 30 secs), the nest mini is great, good mics, adequate sound, fantastic at answering questions but oh boy, is there a lot it can't do compared to alexa units. my only complaint is the default power cycle on the bulb is 100% brightness, not great at night if you have a power cut as its really bright (i use it at 20%).

Google nest 5 stars let down by the Philips bulb
Google nest not a single complaint, slotted in nicely along with my google home, great sound too used everyday. However the Philips bulb was a let down, worked for two weeks then wouldn’t reconnect so now it’s just a bulb on the Philips app, and have other less expensive bulbs which have been working with my google devices for ages this one doesn’t want to connect to the Wifi anymore only Bluetooth!!! Otherwise this review would have been 5 stars across the board!!!

Making kids room a hub for them!
Bought for our daughters room. Simple to install and easy to use. They love the voice activation and it’s going to be a great learning tool as well. Kids usually use their rooms as a dumping zone for stuff but we have already noticed them spending more time playing in their room as they have music on tap! The smart bulb means we can control the night time routine as well. All in all an excellent tool for the home!

Doesn't Connect
I got the Nest mini working no problem. Sound is great and it has the same features as the larger Google Home device. However I cannot get it to talk to the supplied bulb. I can get the bulb yo work with the Hue Appp but not via the Nest. The supplied instructions are useless. Online help no use either. Just buy the Nest mini and don't waste the extra money on the bulb.

Nest Mini OK but Philips bulb only works with App
Nest Mini is fine, already had one previously. However I can't get the bulb to connect to the Google Home app so I can give verbal instruction to dim, go off, switch on etc. Works OK with the Hue app on phone. Think it might need a central control hub which I was assured it didn't need. Still handy though even if bulb only works from phone App.

Great small room addition
I have fitted the house with Philips hue lights (mixture of colour and white ambience) and Google home hubs ( regular and Max). I like this Google speaker for a small room to remain out of sight yet able to control lights and provide me with assistant help. The light is bright and dimmable. I use it for a reading light.

Would recommend hub not light
The hub is amazing tells you everything you need to know I also love the mute mic switch for more privacy the light is BRIGHT but comes with the dimming feature on the hub. Also if you accidentally switch the light on using a physical switch it goes all funny and is hard to re connect

Works really well
Excellent sound quality for its size and a good improvement on the previous version. I also have an Echo Dot and this works better - it's better at understanding you and is less focused on selling you stuff. It also integrates well with Google Assistant on my phone.

Who do you call!?
Worked out of box following simple instructions, then 3 weeks later the Google Nest and Home app stopped seeing the bulb! Downloaded the Phillips Bluetooth app, which worked with the bulb, but failed even after updating to work with Nest and Google Home.

Easy to use
It was easy to set up and use. My daughter has a chromecast, Netflix and spotify, it works really well with these. The light bulbs connect easily and we really like that you can instruct the nest to dim the lights by whatever % you require.

Excellent Package
Great little bundle at a great price. Sounds amazing. A lot of choice. Only thing I’d add would be access to Apple Music like the Alexa system. Phillips Hue build is bright, very responsive and cheap to run. I will be getting more.

Google Nest
The Google nest was easy to set up using wifi and my phone. OK Google turn the light on and walla its on OK Google turn the light off and I can control the light with the app on my phone grrreat bit of tech love it.

I am just happy with the whole product
I have found the item easy to set up and use and the whole family is very pleased and I will recommend that you have a try for yourself and i am sure that you will be as happy as my family and myself.

Bulb is not connected, waste of money!
I was so excited , we connected the bulb and it is not working at all. Google home cant find it, i am planning to return it. Very disappointing as it was xmas present!

At least it talks back
Pretty useless! Doesn't connect to most of my existing gadgets or services. It will not even connect to the Hue light bulb that came in the same box!!

Bought for 11 year old and she loves it
Grandaughter's 11th bithday present and a boon especially as there is no school at moment and everyone staying indoors.
