Bought as a gift
This was purchased as a Christmas gift for my daughter. She absolutely loves it! She's been playing music and saying up her own routines for when she says things like "Hey Google, Good morning". She loves that it will tell her the weather, give her a bit of news and then play her favourite Spotify playlist with one simple command. I like it because she doesn't *need* her phone in her room when she's supposed to be studying anymore!

Better sound than the last generation
Althought almost indistinguishable from Gen 1, the Gen 2 has better sound and working top button and a mounting hole on the base for wall hanging. A reasonable upgrade

AMAZING LITTLE GADGET
Bought for my daughter as a Christmas present.....she absolutely loves it! Fantastic sound quality, easy to set up and great for listening to music on Spotify, a fun and easy way to find out facts and information, as well as lots of other things to do including quizzes and games

Too difficult to set up
It is very good price but unfortunately I wasn’t able to set it up. Tried several different ways but it would not connect to my wifi or it said my phone wasn’t connected, which is IPhone 11 . So not sure of compatibility , I returned it.

The smart speaker is surprisingly useful.
I have now used the Google Nest Mini for around 3 weeks and I was pleasantly surprised how much it could do and there is more potential for increased functionality in the future. I use routines most days.

Works a charm, gen 2 is much better sound
Have been using original Google mini for a year or so and just upgraded to second generation. Speed of voice recognition much faster and the bass & sound quality is very much improved. Highly recommend!

Good speaker in small bundle
I love google assistant this is my first 2nd gen Mini, cant say i notice much difference in sound but the built in hole for wall mounting is great. One thing I'd like to see is improved mic's as they struggle to understand you from a bit of distance meaning you want to add more to your hallways etc. Or get frustrated asking it to turn your lights on only to get a reply of i cant do that yet or i don't understand

Definitely an upgrade
This is definitely a better version than the previous mini. The sound quality is fuller and the lights so you know where to control the device are helpful. You can't expect the best quality audio from such a small device, but as long as your expectations are realistic then it delivers. Slightly too short power cable, and some occasional connectivity and grouping issues drop it a star, but overall a solid product.

Excellent product
As a Google fan . This is the natural progression following my tablet and phone. I use it for Streaming music . Playing radio stations . Reading the news and audio books . I have set it for morning and bedtime routines . A great product . In total I bought three including one as a gift which was happily received and litterally working within minutes of receipt

Smart looking and thinking
Smart looking speaker. Sound won’t rock your world- it’s not the loudest, and not the best sound quality, but great for the price. Only works nicely with select services- Spotify is a must for the music service on this device, other services are almost pointless :(

Excellent sound quality
I bought the Google Nest Mini to accompany our Google Home. We now have some automation at home with lighting and plugs so the Nest Mini is ideal for this.

Smart little thing!
I was curious to see if there was an actual difference in sound quality over the mark one as claimed. I guess there is a small improvement, you can't expect too much in the way of bass but it managed a decent balance. You also have the option to hang it on the wall as well as the ability to pair with a further nest. mini to create a stereo pair. A smart speaker and a smart little stereo system!

This is a great, useful little device
The google mini was easy to set up although connecting it to the other smart devices in my home took a bit more brain power! These devices are impressive in what they can do and are constantly adding more functions. The mini is very small and neat and can be hung on the wall, which is probably the preferred position. Would definitely recommend as an addition to any home.

I have two of them connected up so they act as a stereo with excellent left and right panning. I think the charcoal ones look particularly smart too.

Good sound, easy to set up
Bought 2 of these for my husband, he's really pleased. Easy to set up, have one upstairs, one downstairs, so can have music around the house. Sound is good Can control tv as we have a chromecast plugged In. Have smart plug too, so can ask Google to switch off the Christmas lights too.

Using it more than I thought
I originally bought ti for my boyfriend as he loves that type of stuff, but I've found myself using it a lot more than he does. Money well spent.

Great way to listen to music
Is good to have Google play music for you and set a timer, although if you play the music at the higher volume it dose not sound good.
