Looks ok as expected from photos really.
Don’t get over excited. It looks ok, bigger than I expected. Connects relatively easily to wifi network. Controls my heating, lights and switches from speech with WiFi plugs and switches. Find videos on you tube quite fast if required so good if you were doing recipe etc.

Not as expected
Bought for my mum as a Xmas gift and I’m finding it very hard to get it up and going. We say hello google to get it going and nothing. Will be returning and getting Alexa. Much better

Handly little machine

Excellent, but not always smart!
This is my second Google Home Hub, and my fifth Google Assistant powered piece of hardware. As a digital picture frame it’s amazing - easy to add photos to using a Google account, and easy to set up. As a speaker, the quality is great. Perfect for radio! As a smart assistant, Google needs some work. They are continually adding and removing features which affect how normal things you’ve always said work. Google’s responses are “I don’t understand” more than ever.

Easy to use for many things, and fun
Shows photos, netflix. Plays music, set alarms and reminders. Good all rounder that connects to many other smart things.

Google nest hub works like a dream
Bought this just before Christmas after reading some reviews. I found this very easy to set up but those not so technically minded may need some assistance. Very clear sound and voice command works very well. Streaming music,videos etc is easy and you can set up routine schedules to your own liking. A great bit of kit. You will need the google home app to set up the device to start with.

Google Nest
I bought this device 'coz it was half price and was a good addition to my family of gadgets. Is it useful...yes, can I live without it.....yes. If you feel comfortable speaking to an inanimate object then, fine. Does it turn stuff on and off...yep, do you need it to.....no. It works well and, it has a purpose. I am happy with it.

So bad I returned
Reviews I saw about this product stated the sound wasnt great I should have paid note you can't underestimate how poor the sound is - tinny , no bass at all I never return items - this one I returned it was so grating

Google Smart Speaker with Excellent Display
I purchased this as an additional smart speaker, this time with a display, specifically for the kitchen and primarily for cooking! Perfect for multiple timers shown visually and step-by-step recipes with cooking processes which can be accessed from multiple sources and works very effectively. All round, an excellent, well-finished product, although the speaker quality not quite as good as hoped for as it lacks base responsiveness... It's on a par with a Google Home Mini!

Nice design - not straightforward to set up.
Nice design and a good addition to our Google Home set up. However, a little misleading as ‘phone calls’ and ‘video calls’ aren’t easy to access and as this doesn’t have a camera, video calls are one sided. You need the app Google Duo to make/receive calls and for us this wasn’t straightforward to set up. Shame Netflix can’t be accessed only YouTube, however, very good sound quality and visual display is clear.

Easy to set up and use
Had been struggling to decide if I really needed rather than just wanted this for a while but finally decided I did. Great decision I love it. It's so easy to set up and use. Easy to add other devices to as well. Really pleased I got it in the end.

Great potential
Amazon Alexa and Google Home live with us and whist Google Home is a good looking companion with the better sound (IMO), it's Alexa we rely on to manage the lights, cameras and various plug sockets. Although Alexa still needs more skills to be developed, Google need to address their more fundamental connectivity problems and the Nest Hub's initial setup was not as slick as Alexa.

Excellent as photo frame and more
A great way to actually see all those pictures you've taken on your phone. It's very easy to setup. The sounds not perfect but that's really what it's intended for. I tempted by getting another as it's nice to see my photos on display.

The price for the Google Nest Hub is very reasonable considering all of the different things that you can do with it. It has a great design and great speakers, I mainly use it to control my smaert home (lights etc) as well as setitng routines and asking some questions. Great bit of kit! :)
