Excellent hub for home use
Excellent bit of kit for the money. A great hub for your smart home and definitely one of the best on the market. I also love the ability to use this as a security camera for when you leave the house.

Google Max is perfect for my disabled partner.
I got the Google Max so that I can easily communicate with my partner who has Alzheimers. Easy to set up and easy operateion of the lights, heating, television, radio and voice / video calls with simple voice commands. This product meets all of my needs and helps me as a full time carer whilst I'm out working full time too. It is practical for my busy lifestyle. Music, television, planning trips, hospital reminders and much much more. Thank you Google for making things a little bit easier.

Got Nest? You need this in your life
Amongst the many options, there are only really two choices on the market for these kinds of products, I went the Google route post their integration of the Nest system into their home automation suite. Both the smaller Hub and the Max work largely the same way, except that the Max has an integrated camera for video calling using Google Duo, the camera can also be used for home surveillance (extended with a subscription) and the screen is much larger. Perfect for the kitchen.

Great at what it does, does too little
The hub is really good way of interacting with your smart home. It recognises your face, it sense when you are in the room. The added nest cam is great for security and with a home/away function you have privacy too. However its sound quality is only okay, placement of the speaker on the rear feels like a mistake, the camera has no night vision limiting its use. The assistant is brilliant but no more or less than a google home. Finally it cant play netflix or amazon video. :-(

Love this little device!
Great piece of tech to have in the home, we use ours every day and have it linked to speakers all around the house. Love it.

Great technology but has software issues
I love technology and bought this on the first day it released. However, this does have its problems... Google assistant is clearly still in its early stages as it regularly struggles to understand what I want or does something completely random e.g. it will play music on YouTube when I have set Spotify as my default player. That said, it does seem to be improving. The camera recognises me in about 1 second of me being in front of the device. The sound quality is also great.
