Google Home Mini (1st generation) - Chalk
Nice little device
Great little piece of kit - not usually a fan of this type of tech, but I have foround this a useful little device. I use it mainly for listening to the radio and to playlists on Spotify - but it links in very nicely with the Google Hello doorbell we recently had fitted. Like I said, not usually a fan of these type of devices, but they work well together and are easy to use.

My helpful Google assistant
This is an awesome device in a little package. Great sound and very helpful with all kinds of tasks. I am able to listen to my tunes or set timers to help me cook. Or maybe I just want to set a reminder. Google home can do that too. I love it.

Best of the rest
Fantastic bit of kit , far better than my Echo dot 3rd gen it understands everything you say 1st time without having to repeat or shout at it 10/10 for understanding 8/10 for music quality ( bearing in mind that this is only a small speaker) 8/10 for understanding at a distance 9/10 for google music collection My only 2 disappointments are that I’d wished that it had a 3.5mm output point and also used a standard usb to usb mini power in

Great gadget bought as a gift my mum loves it

Fun and decent speaker
Really enjoying this speaker, is fun, easy to use and surprisingly decent sound for the size of it. Hears me from wherever I am in the room. Well worth the price in my opinion.

Great Fun Product
This is a great product purchased to see what google assistant has to offer. We have it in the living room and our 2yr old like interacting with it and so does the whole family. It make life so easy to add reminders to the phone as you just talk to it. Also plays songs off spotify and can cast youtube videos onto the chromecast directly, so you don't have to fiddle with any other devices. Such a great buy, would highly recommend it.

It does what it is supposed to
I only have minor hickups with it. Other than these I can say that it does all the things advertised. The only thing missing is google does not have an official video how to setup 3rd part peripherals. You have to do some searches in youtube to find out how. I can say that it works best with a chromecast.

Better than Alexa
Google will win the race in this area. just two of the real benefits of google are that it links seamlessly to your accounts and recognises different users, so applying their calendar, music, details when they ask. Another one is that it makes completely free phone calls.

Great potential
Great bit of kit with masses of future potential in the platform. Very sensitive far field microphones and fills the kitchen with sound.

Its a very handy device.
This piece of tech is really handy device. It responds to all your commands. No need to reach out to your phone every time to know the weather or news update. It can even play the requested songs, however you need to have youtube premium activated.

Everyone loves it except my wife!
It works really well recognising our voice with very few mistakes even with a lot of background noise. Kids and I use Google for reminders, count down timers, switching the lights on and off, telling jokes, streaming music (to another Bluetooth speaker for better sound) information finding, the list goes on. My wife doesn't use it or like it as she finds it intrusive. Secretly I think she is jealous of the Google assistant's consistently cheerful response to even the most meanial tasks !

Ok Google
What a fab item. Easy to set up, turns on the radio for me every morning! Great for answering questions, much easier and quicker then using google on phone/iPad or laptop. Do yourself a favour and buy one! You won’t regret it.

New friend
Good easy setup. Gets to know you although sometimes struggles with broad accent although I think it might be to do with placement of device. Plays your music through various subscriptions very quick and accurate ask for time news sport scores recipes walk throughs. Also appointments and weather in your location. Shopping list unavailable in my area done know if that's local regional or national for uk / ni. Lots of fun sofar

Works well and is fun

My Google Home mini is fab
The Google home mini is great for anyone that wants to get information easily and quickly or stream music. You can even set this up with WiFi controlled lights and other appliances with ease.

Excellent, but made wifi unstable!
The Google home mini was excellent while it lasted, superb sound, reliable voice recognition and accurate search results. It struggled with home automation - limited command recognition and inconsistent results. The killer blow though was that the Google home mini regularly got stuck in an upload loop, sending multiple data packets throughout the day which, according to network provider analysis and a process of elimination, crashed my wifi network. Decision made :(
