Google Home Mini (1st generation) - Chalk
Great gadget which is informative and fun
Bought this for my son at Christmas and have enjoyed watching him learn from it and have fun too. It’s easy to set up and use, sounds great and has adjustable volume. It answers questions, gives weather updates, tells jokes etc. It’s a very compact unit so takes up little room and is inconspicuous if you need it to be. We love it and would highly recommend.

Bit of fun
I bought this for a bit of fun when it was on offer. It turns the heating up and down and effectively plays music via the Chromecast on my television. However when Googling it just reads the top answer and it is often totally irrelevant. Also it is American and doesn't always understand English phrases. It keeps me entertained particularly after a few drinks.

Pleased.
I purchased my Google Home mini as an impulse buy. I had seen the adverts and when I was out and about without thinking picked one up. Once I had set it up which by the way was so easy especially as I'm quite a techno-phobe. I couldn't be any more pleased. It's literally like having a PA in your home. 99% of what I ask it has an answer for. It also finds any music I ask. This is definitely one of the best products I have ever bought. I would definitely recommend.

Excellent product
Great range of services and the AI is very good. Customisable morning and evening routines are great, get the weather, news headlines and traffic news or turn off the lights automatically when going to bed.

It’s a great toy for my 11 year old.
It made a great Xmas present for my 11 year old for the offered price. She loves her music so it’s great for her. However it’s just another gadget to add to the never ending list.

Radio on steroids
Bought this as we needed a new radio and figured for the great price we may as well but Google Home so that could listen to any radio station globally but also have the great functions that Google Assistant offers. Very happy with it choice!

Nice and small
My daughter is loving her google mini. She said it was her best Christmas present. Easy to set up and start using. Only problem encountered was getting to call people. Long way round adding phone numbers on her google account.

Excellent and so simple to set up.
Very easy to set up just plug and play. Tremendous sound quality from such a small bit of kit. I checked several in depth reviews about the Google Home system and they all agreed that because Google Home uses the Google search engine it is better at answering questions than the Alexa system which uses the Bing search engine to answer questions. Very pleased with this product.

Amazing & Super Useful
Very useful around the house, picks up voice well, neat, easy to set up, sound quality is impressive for such a small speaker. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing
This is amazing, you can use it for literally anything, plays music, turns on lights can turn on the tv or the kettle etc.. you can even set reminders and alarms and ask if any questions and it gives you a perfect answer , for example what’s the weather tomorow or how old is the queen , literally anything! Would definitely recommend!

Great purchase
This is a great wee tool which helps with lots of everyday things. Ask anything you'd normally Google and it gives you a pretty good answer. Also good for listening to music, setting reminders, timers, etc. Best if you have a Google account though which links it to all your calendars, emails, phone, etc. Definitely worth the money.

Google home mini does maxi job.
Love this gadget. Gives me news, weather, traffic conditions & distance to destination. Will also change radio stations & play music by my favourites & that’s just for starters. All I have to do is ask.

Ok if you haven’t a smart t v.
Quite a bit of messing about, you have to download what you want to watch e.g You Tube or whatever on to your phone or I pad,and “ send” it to your tv. It’s ok ,but it could be better.

A good product. Does as it says on the box. But sometimes doesn’t recognise what I want. I haven’t used it to it’s full potential yet so i’m Sure there’s a lot more to see.

Incredible product
Superb sound quality at an exceptional price. This is the 2nd google home mini we have purchased for our home. It links with our hive heating & lighting, it acts as an alarm, timer, radio, encyclopaedia, weather forecaster...Can't recommend enough.In my opinion the sound quality is so much better than the Alexa we got free with our Hive offer. It’s wonderful to be able to tune into any radio station that the internet can provide, effortlessly. The jokes are worthy of a Christmas cracker! Lol. I have only just started to discover what this can do-looking forward to the discovery. Well worth the money!

Absolutely Amazing
Honestly I have been using it every day, mostly to play music got some RGB lights that I put around my room and connected to them along with that I got some smart plugs which make it absolutely amazing.

The google home mini is fantastic!
I am so glad I bought the google home mini as it has really made our lives easier and plus its a really nice looking product. I like that despite the size of the google home mini its speak is really quite powerful and nice clear sound for something so small (to me anyway). My partner and I love the google home mini so much have have bought one for our bedroom, spare room and living room. Highly recommend!

Better than I was expecting!
Great item, I hadn't used one before so I was quite impressed with what it could do. Set-up took longer than necessary because it wouldn't connect to my device but it did eventually. I use it every day now. The sound is amazing for such a tiny speaker.
