Excellent Smart Speaker
Had this for several months now and on the whole, I am very pleased with it. Sound quality is good with plenty of volume and bass yet maintaining clarity, If you live on the first floor of a flat block, I recommend getting a foam speaker stand to stop the bass going through the floor. It's easy to use and responds well to voice commands or input from the app. The one problem I had was that in order to get a stable bluetooth audio stream, I had to disable the 2.4 GHz signal on my WiFi router.

Superb speaker with benefits
Solidly built and stylish looking. Quite tricky to move and keep the magnetic rubber pad in place. The sound is good, bassy without losing the trebles. I have a stereo pair, which sounds amazing, but the speakers are quite 'directional' so you have to make sure they're evenly spaced. The assistant part is as you'd expect from Google Home, but the interface when using the GH app isn't as slick as it could be (eg like Sonos). I'm sure this will be improved with updates. Overall, very pleased!

Works brilliantly, sounds excellent.
I bought two Google Max speakers to act as a pair in stereo mode, one left, one right. Easy to setup the right/left speaker. Easy to un-pair too. Great sound, really does adjust to room acoustics. Not for an audiophile purist, bass can be a little boomy, but equaliser in home app can tone it down. One speaker sideways is stereo, upright makes it monaural. Two speakers upright paired act as stereo left and right. Can group speakers with google home, minis to play music around house.

Google max
Purchase this as our old dab radio had given up. I Was sceptical at first how good this would be but I am impressed with how easy it is to use. The sound quality is good it connects to almost anything and also is very handy to have Google built in. On the first day our 7 year old made apple crumble with the help from Google assist it told him what to do step by step. Now he want to help with the cooking all the time a mean feat in itself. I find it so good I am thinking of buying a 2nd.

Awesome addition to my minis
I bought the max when it was on offer and it was worth it! I just wish i could buy more. The sound quality is so crisp even at high volume, just can't have it at full volume for long it is so loud. It connected quickly even after updating, when using the google app the equalizer can set all speakers to achieve the best sound effects. There is a long power lead roughly 160cm and a USB port to play direct from a device. Great piece of kit and would recommend to any google home nut.

Amazing Speaker!! So Impressed
So we have been building our collection of google home's for a while and wanted this for some time. As usual quality is amazing and plug and play set up was seamless. Considering the price and in comparison to other speakers on the market of this size and power this wins hands down!! I am not an expert but for what we need, this is perfect. Loud enough for a garden party without distortion and in the house you can fill a room / floor with powerful, quality sound. Really impressed!

Excellent sound quality and responsiveness
Great large speaker with excellent sound quality. No matter how loud the music is (it goes very loud) there is absolutely no distortion. Perfect for a large room The built in assistant picks up commands well, better than the Google home mini. My only small niggle is the colour of the supplied power cable. It is off-white... But I'm just being fussy and it's easy to replace if needed. All in all if your looking for a great quality good looking large speaker this is perfect.

Superb. Hifi. Very bassy. Brilliant
Wow wow wow wow. Mega quality sound. This must be the best kept secret gadget on the high street. It is an amazing smart speaker. The bass weight is VERY strong indeed. You can adjust it via the app and get a brilliant, proper hifi quality sound out. One of these is enough for a medium to large room. Two would be beyond belief. One hidden feature is the auxiliary socket that allows you to plug your TV in. I've done so and it is now also a smart soundbar!!!

Will fill a room, but bit directional
Easy to use and setup. I have a Google Home too, and certainly the sound from this is much bigger ideal for a larger room, but my only gripe is that it is quite directional, and the positioning needs to be considered to get the best out of it. It is quite a beast, but is stylish and easily fits into most rooms decor. The mics I find to be far more receptive than the Home, probably because there are six of them! Buy it, you won't regret it.

big bass
I originally had the Google home mini and then upgraded to the standard Google home, I was surprised at how amazing it sounded especially on the bassy end of things. I then knew I had to upgrade to the biggest one, the Google Home Max. The bass is fantastic, the volume goes up very high and the sound quality overall is amazing. Not to mention you can use a basic equaliser to adjust the bass and treble within the Google home app. 10/10 :)

Great addition to my smart home
I've got a couple of other Google Home devices and wanted to get some smart speakers, so the Google Home Max was the obvious choice. It was easy to setup, has great sound and is much more compact than getting a full hi-fi or something. It definitely is on the bigger size though, especially compared to the Apple smart speaker, but I would say its worth it for the added sound quality..

Fantastic!
From a sound perspective this speaker is amazing. I got on the discounted price but its definitely worth the full price on sound alone. The assistant is also pretty good both understanding and responding in good time though I don't have too many smart appliances around the house to make the most of it's capabilities. But one of the best speakers I've listened to at this price

Amazing Sound and a subtle design that blends well
The speakers sound fantastic and I bought 2 of them as I read that they can be used in stereo mode as a pair, I was not disappointed. I bought these for a party where I wanted to have different music playing in the garden and in the house, it was easy to set up and worked well. The only thing to note is the rubber pads that speakers fall off so make sure you dont lose them.

Great sounds smart speaker
Excellent smart speaker with all the features you’d expect from a Google product with emphasis placed on the speaker side of things to deliver great sound quality to boot. Would be nice if could link it to Sonos and the like as Google don’t have a sound bar as yet. Also no feature for wirelessly playing tv audio, can be connected by various wired means though.

Great unit with good sound
Easy to connect. Pairs with your phone via Bluetooth to play stored music and from your Spotify account. Plays radio channels and responds to questions. The sound is great. We bought two when on offer at £199 for upstairs and lounge. Can be used separately or paired. Microphone can be switched off and sound altered by command or by touch on the unit. Great buy!

Good but not great
I got this when it was on sale to replace a google home - it certainly works well and connects easily to wifi and bluetooth. i would say the sound however lacks a bit of depth. It's way better than the smaller home speaker but the lower range is lacking or me. Other than that the sound is clear and perfectly acceptable for normal background listening.

Looks great sounds great and fab connectivity
I bought this to replace an old sound system and wish I had gone all google instead of Alexa but the good thing is that Spotify works with both so premium Spotify now covers all our home. While this is on the big size it delivers great sound and connectivity. Really easy to operate and set up. Highly recommended and great Argos price and service!

Google Home Max is EXCELLENT!!
Google cut the price of these just before Christmas and for the price I paid I would recommend to anyone. At full price, there are other options available, but I'm not sure they would sound as good as the Google Home Max. The bass is deep and the treble is crystal clear. Everything I have played on it so far sounds brilliant.

Super sound quality.
Brilliant sound quality and really loud from such a small unit. Better sound quality than my expensive separates set up. Connected it to my Deezer account so can ping tunes to it from my phone or activate it with my voice. Also can control my smart home vocally, lights etc.

Great sound
Looks and sound great. If like to hear your music loud at times and want good quality then this would be the best one to get in my opinion. You wouldn't be disappointed with this. Didn't take me long to get it all set up. Haven't got anything negative to say about this.

Excellent addition to Smart Home
I bought two of these Google Home Max's so I can have them in Stereo for better sound quality and they fit it extremely well. As I have existing Google Home devices it was not hard to adjust, but just with a much better sound quality. I would highly recommend.

Very good smart speaker
Extremely good speaker on its own. The fact it is a smart speaker as well is awesome. Connected to WiFi very easily so was up and running in minutes. Has the added advantage of having an AUX in socket. Sound quality is very good with a good volume level.

Best Google home speaker
I've got a few Google speakers but this one is by far the best sounding, goes loud enough to hear all around the house and probably the neighbours house too. Looks good and feels very solid build quality. Glad I eventually purchased.

A good speaker and I love it, still not 5 stars.
Looking forward to the speaker and loving having it, the sound quality is not crystal clear. At some point I would like to try two speakers to see if the sound changes. Single speaker is great for background music or radio.
