Hush-a-bye-bye
Despite traveling from three to five months out of the year, I have somehow survived over the years without noise-canceling headphones. My travel kit includes a variety of earbuds to listen to music on the go and cheap, disposable, foam earplugs when I just need to mute the noise on a long flight. I have been curious about noise-canceling headphones, though, especially after listening to some Bose demo headphones. (Even though I tried over-ear ca... Show More

Almost There
The QC 20 is hands down the best Noise Cancelling headphones you can own. I was walking down a noisy street with it one day and upon flicking the power switch to On, it felt as if all the passing trucks and pedestrians have disappeared into thin air. I looked around me in disbelief as cars and trucks rushed past me in silence, as if I was watching a modern silent film. I have owned the QC 15 for a few years before I made this purchase, and the no... Show More

Simply the Best!
I ordered this Noise Cancellation QC20 headset, receiving it from BH Photovideo more than a month ago with my great satisfaction of the product. This set really kills the noise as I need to cancel it out when commuting Metrolink to work everyday. What I really like about this headset is it is really compact and so light. Especially, it has lots of bass making the music suddenly become as if I am listening to the live music. The more I hear it wit... Show More

Finally found my best noise cancelling option
If you travel on planes or try to talk on your phone in a noisy environment, noise cancellation is a must have. My wife and I have tried numerous on ear, over ear, in ear options. All were helpful, but they were either not quite effective enough, too uncomfortable or too bulky for our needs. The Bose QuietComfort 20's are by far the most effective and comfortable option we've found. They also pack into a very small zipper pouch that you can even ... Show More

Great for the frequent traveler
Anyone who has spent many hours on an airplane knows the benefits of noise canceling headphones. They isolate you from the constant drone of the airplane and provide you with the ability to listen to content at a reasonable audio level. I have carried noise canceling headphones for years. The big drawback is that they can take up significant space in your briefcase/bag. I had read a number of reviews of the QuietComfort 20i in-ear headphones. All... Show More

Good choice - pricey
This was the best reviewed set of in-ear noise-cancelling(NC) headphones when I did my shopping, and it is well deserved. The NC function works well. I tried it in our open office, and it substantially reduces HVAC and ambient conversation noise. Conversations are still audible, but much less distracting. I purchased these for air travel though, and after an extended trip (nearly 60 hours in air), these headphones definitely help, but don't entir... Show More

Amazing
I'm writing this review as my neighbor is cutting down a big tree about 30 feet from my office chair (the joys of working at home). The chainsaw and chipper are both running, and I'm wearing the earbuds. They're not eliminating all the noise, of course, but they're making it bearable. I'm happy. I swapped the buds for my pair of Bose QC-15 over-the-ear headphones, and the QC-15 are (very slightly) quieter, but the earbuds do the job just fine. So... Show More

Fantastic Noise Cancelation
I bought these headphones to replace a pair of older Sony MDR-NC22 noise-canceling earbuds. I have been thrilled. The noise reduction of the Bose QC20s is outstanding. It effectively cuts out nearly all background noise when traveling on an airplane. It even reduces to some extent but doesn't eliminate entirely other background noise. It does this seemingly without relying on noise isolation or a tight seal of the silicone earbud gaskets. I have ... Show More

Great Noise Reduction
Like other reviewers I'd say the Noise Cancelling is outstanding, amazing. OK, my first pair of noise cancelling earbud/headphones. Sound quality with Noise Cancelling on is good, without it not so great. That's if you a/b on and off. Perhaps had you never turned on the Noise Cancelling it wouldn't strike you as dramatically deficient. Not a big deal so long as you have the battery charged. Its rated for sixteen hours, I've used several times and... Show More

Big surprise for such a small item
I bought this for my husband who's a business traveler and I got tired of him using my Bose QC 15's (the traditional over the ear ones). He used it so much that he actually wore off the leather on the ears for these and complained about how the over-the-ear headphones didn't fit him quite nicely. So, I bought him the in-ear QC 20i for Christmas. He LOVES them!! I even tried them and they (dare I say) beat the QC 15's in terms of noise cancellatio... Show More

Bose Delivers True Quiet Comfort Sound
The Bose QuietComfort 20 headphones truly deliver the sound quality that they profess to in their literature. From the moment I placed the earbuds and turned on the noise-cancelling system, it was a unique experience. I was now hearing sound frequencies, and ranges of music that I have not previously experienced in any other brand of in-ear headphones. I was impressed with the fit of the ear buds for both their comfort in the canal, and not falli... Show More

Great noise cancelation!
These earbuds do the job. I walk through the neighborhood with traffic, lawn blowers etc. and with the noise cancelation turned on I can only hear a distant, very faint something which is so much better than my prior non-canceling earbuds. I just don't even notice the something, and don't even hear it if the music is medium-loud/loud. The controls are easy to use, even when hidden under my t-shirt. Note: you will hear the wind in strong breezes (... Show More

Noise cancellation not as deep as expected.
I was substantially disappointed in the capability of these earphones. I guess it is a lot to ask to have an in the ear device be as capable as I wish. My intent was to use them in a car during long commutes and in the library when researching. In the car the background air flow with windows up around my Kia Soul was cut in half, not the 70-80% I looked forward to. Both my books on tape and music were not that much more enjoyable using these vers... Show More

Great for work and travelling
It is my first noise-cancelling earphones and I simply love it. I personally preferred the in-ear since it is more discreet and compact to carry anywhere. Tried it on an international flight and it easily cancelled out the engine and crowd noise. I also use it on a daily basis at work. Of course you can still hear that one particularly loud person who sits close to you, but it has become an essential item for me. Sometimes I feel that there is a ... Show More

Best Noise Cancelling - SQ is sub-par
I purchased this for airline travel and road trips. They have hands-down the best noise cancelling of any headphones I have tried so far (only second to the $+ pilot headsets), but the sound quality is seriously lacking compared to less-expensive Sennheiser headphones. They do sound good, but when comparing to great sounding headphones of similar price, these sound like throwaways. They also sound noticeably worse when the NC is turned off, so if... Show More

Disappointing!!!
Planned to use it for flying to replace my Sony NC-33. First the earplugs are hard to position because of the winglets whose purpose I cannot figure out. They generate an audible background noise when powered even when not connected to an Ipod or other similar device; my Sony has no background noise. The battery pack is light and small but is at the end of a long cord and has no clip to attach to a belt or pocket. Also to connect to an Ipod, it h... Show More

Nice headphones
So far I really like these headphones. The sound is nice, and the noise cancellation for an in ear headset is great. They are also very comfortable to wear. The 'aware' mode is very cool. Its noise cancellation with what sounds like 'miked' conversation coming in from the outside. Its very useful in a lot of situations as the normal noise cancellation works really well. Only issue(s) I have is removing the ear pieces. It can be tough to pop them ... Show More

Bose earbuds outstanding
The new QC20i noise canceling in-ear headphones from Bose are quite good. Interestingly they do not need to be inserted deep into the ear in order to effectively cancel ambient sound and perform well musically. When in their carrying case they take up much less room than my QC15 headphones do in theirs yet sound at least as good. USB recharging is a plus, as is the ability to listen to music when the noise canceling circuitry is switched off. I'v... Show More

This Bose is a winner
A winning balance of practicality and sound quality. I am an audiophile who is also involved in production of classical music and other 'unplugged' recordings. I own a few high-end earphones like the shure se-535 and westone 3 which deliver better sound quality for dedicated listening in quiet environments (like the recording studio and the library). Yet I travel a lot by plane and I find this Bose product to be an unbeatable solution for active ... Show More

Small, light, medium sound!
Smaller than the Bose Quiet Comfort 3 but doing the same job is what I was looking for in order to diminish the weight I am carrying around when traveling. The universal S, M, L plugs sit perfectly in my ear, never afraid of loosing them. Unfortunately when you turn them on and the environment is very quiet, you will hear a very very soft white-noise. This might be audible with the QC3 as well but since they sit outside, I never experiences that ... Show More

Expensive, but spectacularly good
These are just fantastic. A premium product ranging from the case to the cords to the earbuds and, most importantly, the sound. I have owned many noise cancelling headphones. So I coughed up the $ and bought a pair. My father in law and his Rhodesian Rid... Show More

Still Great After 1 Year
I purchased these 1 year ago, and they are still working just as well as brand new. The price is steep, but I use them literally every day. I have them on during normal work hours and use them to hear/speak during my online classes. I've worn them while on cardio machines, because they stay in my ears better than my non-Bose wireless pair. Good product
Had the Sennheiser CXC700's. They lasted about 6 months. Could never get a good fit. Either they would come out every 10 minutes or the earpieces started to come off and stay in my ear. Finally the volume control went defective where one channel was intermittent and staticy. The Bose product seems much better built and is a very good fit. The sound quality and noise cancelling both seem to be better. (I returned the Sennhesiers so I can't do a si... Show More

I used them on a 15-hour cross Pacific flight to Australia. The headphones cancelled out nearly 100% of outside noise (it's magical when you... Show More
