Bought this for my father in law for Christmas- he’s had an enormous amount of fun with it and loves exploring all of the things it does . On New Year’s Day it was the source of all of our music and games! At the much reduced price of £55 it was a fantastic gift.

It does what it says on the package
The speaker works well enough and as intended so far. Would still need a better quality speaker for playing music but good enough for listening to radio, doing exercises, chores, etc.

Alexa is now an indispensable member of the family
She does everything from playing music to switching the telly on and setting of the slow cooker so I can have a hot meal to come home too. Get a few smart plugs and bulbs and you'll wonder how you ever managed without her.

Fantastic addition for a smart home
The sound quality of the echo is amazing, so rich and clear. Perfect for listening to your favourite playlist or radio station. Linking up to other smart appliances is easy through the Alexa app. And there’s a whole range of skills to discover and install. One of the simplest things, yet another of my favourites, is using the echo for timers and reminders, this makes it perfect for the kitchen, so that you don’t have to stop/start what your doing.

Perfect piece of tech for the family
Quite complicated to set up but once it’s up and running and connected to the WiFi it works perfectly. Have noticed that it isn’t able to answer everything and sometimes does the wrong thing but once it starts to recognise your voice it is able to resolve the things it used to not be able to do. Currently have this one in the living area so the entire family can use it but we also have others in different rooms connected to the same account which enables the entire house to be connected

The speed of access to music and the quality of the sound is simply superb. One of the most useful things (and I know it sounds daft) is the timer when cooking meals. Never burn my food again...

Very good quality product
Alexa worked very well, sound quality and volume is great, took a while to initially set up through the computer as didn’t have a compatible mobile phone that could download the app (blackberry)
