The mic is an electret - needs power
A good product - but not what I needed. I bought one for the dynamic mic (no phantom power needed with those), but this mic does not work without phantom power. Otherwise, well made, comfy.

Good Yamaha CM500
The CM 500 has been used for amateur radio. I have received many excellent audio reports while using it on an Icom IC7410. It is comfortable to wear and seems like a durable product.

Good Value for intended use
Works great with my K3 elecraft transceiver headset is comfortable... get lots of good audio reports would recommend to any Ham looking for a very well priced BOOM MIC headset ..

Good product
Using the CM500 for ham radio application. Headphones are comfortable for long periods of time and have great sound. Attached mic has had good reports from contacts I've made.
