Neutral Issues
Would be driving as suddenly I am in Neutral. Can be full out on the gas pedal and suddenly in-game the car goes in Neutral, without ever touching the Clutch pedal.

Piece of garbage.
After using it for one year, probably once or twice in month since I don't use it everyday, just failed to be recognised by my PC via usb. Googled to find a solution to fix it and a lot of people had this problem. It simply stops working. Hard reset, cable tugging, changing usb ports, etc etc do not solve the problem. Never buying Thrustmaster products again.

Dont expect it to last long!!
Thrustmaster doesnt stand behind their products. I bought this shifter one year ago. In June 2018 I sent it in for repair due to the wires completely detaching. See photos. It is now Dec 2018 and the wires have detached again. The screws were also poorly secured on the outside of the shifter. Adds a new level of control
Along with the tp3a pedel set this has renewed my passion for simracing. Very solid feeling unit with adjustable shift tension adds to the realism. There are many aftermarket add ons for it such as short shift kit and different length shift rods also. Why did I wait so long.

Easy to setup, very robust product
Pros: looks pro, very solid, easy to setup and use Cons: If you try to fix it on a desk, you need some room for this, even though it has rotatable fixer. All the gears are buttons, sometimes gears are engaged even not physically engaged.

Quick Delivery
Bought the shifter as a Christmas gift. It hasn't been used yet, but I expect no problems. The ordering process was smooth and the delivery was very quick. No damage to packaging. Would definitely purchase from B&H again if the need arises.

I use this mostly in sequential mode as an e-brake. It works great as a sequential gearshift and an H pattern shifter. It feels fairly realistic. The only issue is it won't stop you from going into gear if the clutch isn't pushed; which would be a really hard thing to do.

Just great
This is the first Thrustmaster shifter that I buy after owning the G25-27 and the Actlabs all metal shifter and I absolutely love it. You can harden the tension of the shift arm and really gives you an impression that you are shifting a real one. 8 speeds ( 7 + R ) gives all the latitude for different games. A must have.

DIY Sim Race Rig
I never had any sim race experience but I am a big GT fan so I decided to DIY a sim race rig for the soon to be released GT Sport. I am using the TH8A with the T150 Pro on my PC and PS4. The TH8A let you customize it in many ways and you have a lot of freedom on how to mount it. The product itself is very heavy as it contains a lot of metal parts. Overall it is a very good choice if you need a H pattern shifter.

Solid, sturdy, stable.
I have this bolted into my XL20D Regular Wheel Stand with the XL60R shifter adapter, and I love it. Once installed, the shifter does not move around, and provides positive feel for each shift. This adds to the realism of any racing game.

This thing is serious! 90 percent metal ,built to last. One thing you must know is an update is required before hookup. But other than that you won't be disappointed!!!

best choice unless you spend 600 bucks!
The TH8A shifter is great. It is the best choice for the money. It feels great and very real. the only upgrade I think would improve it is to have solenoids kick the stick when you miss gears but I don't think any shifter for gaming does that. It is functional with all the major gaming systems and computers too. This is one to keep for years to come. A+product.

No better shifter than this, highly recommended
The shifter feels great and the material is of very high quality. I feel like I can beat the heck put of this shifter and it will still feel like brand new. This product brings a whole new level of immersion to the table, I highly recommend! P.S. I would like to see Thustmaster come out with a handbrake product but we shall see. ;)

Bit pricey for a stick..... but
Good product, very responsive.. a bit on the pricey side and a shame you have to buy it separate. The only reason I give it 4 * is when I first mounted it and started breaking it in one of the screws broke off and fell inside the dome shifter... so thinking refurbished??? Anywho great product would recommend to other drivers that want the full experience

Apparently this shifter does not work with Logitech G920 Racing Wheels. there is no info or blogs about this issue. An inconvenience having to send it back.

Great addition
This is part of my first force-feedback wheel setup which I'm totally digging. The shifter is an awesome addition. Solid and easy to set up and totally reliable. I like the flexibility of being able to use it as a sequential shifter although I'm only using it as an H pattern shifter right now. If you got a wheel you should get one of these.

Mounting options
His is by far the best shifter for options on mounting. The fact that you can spin the h pattern to line up if you have to mount it off at a weird angle. You can also spin the mounting clamp to work on different angles or weird spots.

A purchase I am glad I made!
I was unsure on this purchase since my wheel has paddle shifters. Boy am I glad I purchased this shifter. It feels realistic and is built to last. I use this mounted to my wheel stand and highly recommend.

Great addition to your sim racing rig.
First off, to be honest, this is not a must have in order to enjoy sim racing. It is a great shifter that enhances your sim racing experience though. If you already have a decent FFB wheel, an upgraded pedal set and a good size HD TV or monitor(s), then the TH8A is the next step to take. If not, buy those things before buying the shifter. Love it! Buy it while you can.
I came across this in time. It seems this will be hard to find in the future. This shifter fit in perfectly with my thrustmaster t300 ferrari wheel and pedal set. I did a lot of research and this shifter is the way to go compared to its competitors. It shifts solid and feels close to a real shifter. It is expensive but it's quality parts.
