I love shure products and wanted the best quality audio for voiceovers and podcasting while having the ability to stay mobile. The MV51 provides just that. I picked up two of these before the new year as they were $50 off so that I could use them for podcast style interviews. You can plug these into your computer, iPhone, or IPad making it extremely versatile. I recently conducted an interview at a coffee shop, pretty noisy, so background noise was still an issue, however the talent and interviewer voice was clean and above the noise making it extremely audible. The build quality is really nice with a modern/classic look. There's a kick stand built and you can attach it to a stand if necessary (I recommend at least a table top stand). I'm super happy with the quality of the build and the results of the recordings I'm getting with this. No regrets at all. ... More

Very easy to use and great sound quality. I tried many other condenser microphones before buying this one and the shure motive hands down delivers the best sound quality. Great job Shure!

A hefty bugger to be sure! Using for ZOOM meetings both personal and professional. What my meeting mates are telling me is that it sounds far and above better than ANY of their built in system mics! especially PC's. NB for the CLVS's in the crowd: I can out this on the table a little bit to one side of the witness and it sounds great! And it looks really cool!

Im using it for my end of ZOOM video depositions. As the videographer Im the host and everyone says I sound great. The on-board MUTE button is a lot easier than trying to mouse over to the mute button screen. And it LOOKS so cool!!

Plug and play with the Mac; however, I could not do so through a third-party USB 3.0 hub-- it had to go directly to the Mac via USB-C. Great audio. I have not tried the onboard headphone functionality. Nobody on conference calls complain that you are in a well or a warehouse. It's great audio, 2 feet from my mouth, and just out of the camera view. Even if it's visible, it's cool looking.

He is a daily YouTube blogger and loves the stunning audio quality and what appears an indestructible physical build quality. Very easy to use with an iPhone/iPad! Will it upgrade to USB-C connectivity, we don't know yet? But he is fine with the lightning cable.

Unlike the cheaper USB mics, this has a large diaphragm and a headphone output. You can dial in several specific settings for different applications and connect it to an iphone or computer.

I am primarily using the Shure MV51 for podcasting, and I am utterly amazed at the overall sound quality. The DSP and gain control does all the work, minimizing my editing time in Adobe Audition.
