Sennheiser SKM AVX 4 Digital Handheld Transmitter with No Microphone Capsule (1.9 GHz)

Does not feel like Sennheiser quality/poor deisgn

If you are like me you already own the older SKM handheld set and want to save some money by taking the old capsule and putting it on the new transmitter (I already owned the AVX lav kit and wanted to add the handheld mic). No problem there but the transmitter feels cheap compared to the older SKM unit. For some reason they decided to cheat you out of a mute button on this unit as well. When you buy the unit with the capsule you get a mute button... Show More. There is also no way to power down other than pulling the battery. I am enjoying the mostly interference free signal of the AVX series but the build quality has taken a step back. Don't let anyone drop this mic or you will probably be buying a new one.Show Less
