Much Sharper than the 14-42 Kit Lens w/G7
5 Stars for what it is...I bought this lens because It's significantly cheaper than the f2.8 version, and Reviewers have stated this lens is actually quite sharp. I could not find a DXOMark Score on this model only the f2.8. When comparing this lens to the 14-42mm that shipped with my G7 (Also purchased from B & H) I was pleasantly surprised at how much sharper it seems to me. I am not qualified to judge this lens on a technical basis, but I can ... Show More

Great Little Lens for Lumix Bodies
First thing let me say I'm using this lens with a strange little camera called the Z-camera E1. I bought it because I wasn't getting aperture, focus or IS communication with the Vello active EF-MFT adapter I was using. I returned the adapter and got this little beauty and it solved all my issues with the exception of IS or MEGA OIS as they call it. For whatever reason, the camera will not utilize the optical stabilization the lens provides. Aside... Show More

Good kit-quality tele-zoom
This lens is the tele companion to the G Vario 12-32mm f/3.5-5.6 zoom, which covers the wide/normal ranges. Together they comprise a nice duo of compact, light weight zooms. At this price point this is not a pro-grade optic (nor is it represented as such), but it is quite respectable regardless. A short twist of the zoom ring extends the lens to its operational configuration, which is no big deal since you have to select your desired focal length... Show More

Why Bother with this lens?
First of all this is a budget lens, so comparing it with other budget lenses I wonder who would really want one. If one wanted a long lens, there are longer lenses that cost less: Oly 40-150 f/4-5.6 and the Pana 45-150 f/4-5.6. Both of these lenses will give save you a little money and give you an extra 50mm of focal length, and are sharp enough. If one wanted a decent all-in-one zoom, Tamron offers its 14-150 f/3.5-5.8. The Oly and Pana all-in-o... Show More

Excellent Lens!
This tiny zoom lens produces excellent images! For any advanced photographer this should be the lens that is picked as a complement to the Panasonic 14mm micro four thirds lens. The two are wonderful traveling companions. I attach the LUMIX G VARIO 35-100mm f/4.0-5.6 to my Panasonic Lumix GFI. The lens is under five ounces and the combination produces absolutely no strain on my shoulder. Yes, you do have the alternative of the outstanding Panason... Show More

Fantastic Tiny Sharp 70-200mm Equiv
This is an incredibly compact 70-200mm equivalent zoom as sharp as some prime lenses throughout the entire focal range. It's amazingly sharp wide open, so a boost in ISO or adjusting exposure compensation in darker settings can still produce great shots without a larger max aperture...which would eliminate this lens's minuteness. This zoom is only slightly larger than the Olympus 45mm f1.8 prime when stowed (Also an incredible lens). If you were ... Show More

Great little lens!
I first tried this lens on my old GF1 camera with very surprisingly good results. And yes the O.I.S. does work on the GF1. This is where it was going to live as a walk around setup. Then I tried it on my G7 doing videos. It performed magnificently as a video lens. The sharpness is incredible! It has extremely fast auto-focus as a stills lens and the auto-focus performs better than average as a 4K video lens. It is small, light and very nice looki... Show More

Putting the Micro in Micro 4/3rd's
When this lens was 1st released it caught my attention for sure. Looked compact with a nice useable range and Aperture for outdoor use. Finally was able to purchase this lens and replace my Olympus 40-150(not bad lens). Was really surprised when I pulled it out of box. Tiny!!!! but sharp looking. About the same size as my 19mm Sigma lens. So now I have Sigma 19mm & 30mm and this Panasonic lens for my OMD-EM5. All 3 lens' use 46mm filters which is... Show More

Great, inexpensive little lens
This lens has very good IQ, is remarkably compact, well made, and reasonably priced. I use it on an Olympus E-M10 body with the whole thing fitting in my large parka pocket (my other E-M10 has the Panasonic 12-32mm f/3.5-5.6 on it). I do outdoor photography often in challenging environmental conditions and this setup is very hard to match. I compared the lens against my Pentax DA* 50-135mm on a K5 body and it holds its own quite well. Only the 2.8 pro lenses can do better but at several times the price and size. Highly recommended.

Lumix G Vario 35-100
I purchased this lens for my new Panasonic GH4.I figured I use my 70-200 with my DSLR about 80% of the time so this would be a really good focal length with the 2X crop factor on the GH4. The body of this lens is solid and I believe it to metal. It locks /retracts with a simple twist of the zoom. The mount is also metal. It feels solid on the camera. The 35-100 focuses quickly and acurately. Images out of this lens appear quite sharp. Overall I am very satisfied with the lens and the service from B&H.

Nice little lens
I always wanted a second lens for my Lumix DMC GM1 to compliment the 12-32mm lens. It's not too large, light weight and not expensive enough to worry about when traveling abroad. I purchased the small Mountainsmith lens case and it fits in my purse and shoulder pack. So far I've used it a couple times for long shots and am happy with the results. As I become more familiar with it, I will like it even more. I did a lot of research so I know its limits, but for the price it's right for me.

FINE LOWER COST LENS
My first additional lens for a Panasonic Lumix camera was purchased to give me more range in still and video photography. With a F4.0-5.6 ASPH it is not a low light lens but for one with a limited budget it will give me an opportunity to expand my shooting experiences. The lens will also be used for macro photography and seems to work well the Vello Extension Tub Set purchased with this lens. The test footage (limited at this writing) is very pleasing.

perfect for my need
Optically it is excellent in good light. I wanted the lens to be tiny and discret to go with my Pen-F for some street photography, landscape and cityscape, architecture, to make change from my 17mm and 12mm. Build quality is very good but the zoom is a bit stiff.Surprisingly the bokeh is very nice too. I wouldn't pay the full price for it but with the 150$ off from B&H, it is a perfect buy.

Compact zoom
I purchased this lens for my wife to use with her GX7. First impressions of the construction performance are good. The lens like the 12-32 Panasonic zoom must be extended with the zoom ring before use. A reminder message is displayed one the LCD/EVF to extend the lens. The autofocus is fast. I will update my review after a bit more use.

Solid Performer
A wonderful compliment to my 20mm F1.7 lens. I've used it for video as well as photo with good results. Really small, with great build and image quality. I'm used to the exceptional performance of the 20mm and this lens, while not as magical, delivers results that are on par with it.

Quite Pleased with this Lens, Would Buy It Again
For a pocketable medium zoom, this lens exceeds my expectation. With the Olympus PEN-F, it's speed is more than adequate, and while the focal length is a little short, it is extremely pocketable (photo vest or jacket), and the image quality more than meets my needs.
