I bought mine in the late 90's a clearanced item from a music/DJ store out of NY. I replaced the tube with an old Ampex 12at7, I tried many different tubes until I found the one that was quite and warm. It may not be the greatest but it's worth the money! if you have collection of old tubes setting around. mine sounds awesome! I have other tube mic's and love this one just as much as the others in my collection.
