Does the job, but fingerprint reader doesn't always work
As far as keyboards go, this one is great. I like the soft touch of the keys and the fact that it makes a lot of the most commonly used functions of the Surface easily accessible. The touchpad is a good size and well placed. My only complaint is that the finger print reader is a little flaky... it doesn't always unlock the machine. Otherwise, good value for the money.

Type Cover needed for laptop mode.
In hindsight I wouldnt get the type cover with the fingerprint reader. Windows Hello is great for facial recognition log in.

great keyboard
as a small portable keyboard, it feels great. I especially like the biometric sensor built in. it makes logon very quick and simple. The touchpad works great as well. you'll have to try it to understand. As a protection cover for the display, this works great as well.
