Easy upgrade to Blu-ray
I wanted to add an extra DVD and add Blu-ray capability to my HP Pavilion Elite desktop computer. The LG was priced well and I have several other LG products at home and like them a great deal. I will not buy a product from this manufacturer again.
This appears to be the retail version of the super terrible WH16NS40 drive of which I had _two_ that did not work. They would overheat after a couple of burns and stop reading disks altogether. After a cool down, they would start working again (sort of). The _REAL_ BH16NS40 is a different drive and it looks different. It is bulletproof. The front tray has only the LG logo on it. My First Blu-Ray Disk Writer
Really Nice Drive; installation was easy, Windows 10 picked it right up. I have burned both DVDs and a couple of Blu-ray disks just fine.
