What initially attracted me to upgrading was Dell's Ultrasharp series. A first-class desktop monitor for any office activity
I bought 27 $130 monitors that looked great for surfing and viewing images, but replaced them all with the U2717D because producing documents, CAD drawings, spreadsheets and the like was a different story. You need to be cognizant of dot pitch which is not well advertised on lesser monitors. Excellent Monitors- not so easy to get going with Dell Docks
First, BH is great! They answered all my questions before I actually made my purchase. Second, the monitors are great. I am a tax accountant and sit in front of these all day long. Picture perfect in more than just the picture!
I've owned the monitor a couple of weeks now and I do not use it for professional/photo work but rather casual/average consumer type use. If you're on the fence like I was between a 24 and 27, I wholeheartedly recommend a 27; just so much better for multi-windowing and 27 seems to be the new standard. After 10 years, I finally replaced my pair of aging and power-inefficient Dell 2707 WFP UItrasharp monitors with these bad boys. Given my age (I'm 64) and vision, I am running them at 1920x1080 resolution rather than their native 2560X1440. Now I see why Apple chose 27 inches for it's displays back in the day. I owned the UltraSharp U2414H prior to this and while it was good for consuming content at Full HD, I felt the need for a little more space in programs with loaded interfaces like Blender and DaVinci Resolve. Very happy with decision to purchase 2!
I use my monitors primarily for business purposes, with some personal use. Drove myself crazy looking at reviews (mostly for gaming monitors -- need more "professional" monitor reviews out there!) and zoned in on a Dell. Updated review; Still hate it and here's why you should read
Today is February 13 (purchased Dec 30, 2016) and I still do not have a working monitor from Dell. The replacement monitor (refurbished) sent also had problems with the display ports. So, my original intention, of using this monitor with two different computers, is still not working. Warning !!! DP problems with this model
First, B&H staff great! B&H Tech support did everything they could but I am returning this monitor. This model (not just the specific one I ordered) Dell monitor having problems reading DP port. Purchased extra cables and converter from Dell- could not get any dp port (even mini dp) to read signal. Called Dell support, was advised firstly this monitor does not have a DP port! Very good monitor but few weak points
I purchased 4 of them to mount on the wall for my design office. I love the performance and look of the monitor. It renders my computer renderings beautifully and every visitors compliment on the look of the monitor. This inifity edge is definitely something you see everyday. Excellent monitor
I purchased two of these for use with my Mac Mini. Setup was easy and the monitors worked well right out of the box. I'm using them primarily for audio editing and music production, and the extra screen space compared to my old Apple Cinema 20 displays is very welcome. Amazing product and value!
The start-up I am working with has been purchasing low-grade monitors since the beginning. As I took over IT services, I thought it was time to upgrade systems and monitors were definitely at the top of my list. I'm frugal however and didn't want to go to far. This Dell UltraSharp will be used for data-intensive and graphic artist professionals. So far, the response has been overwhelmingly positive! For the types of work my company does, having 100% AdobeRGB color-gamut is not necessary and the performance offered by the Dell is more than sufficient. An excellent performer and great price.

Very happy with overdue upgrade
On Win7, moved from a two monitor arrangement, 24' 4x3 + 23' 4x3 (both 1600x1200), to the U2717D + the 23' 4x3. Set the U2717D text to increase by 150%. Primarily using the U2717D, with the 23' as a kind of scratch pad. Resulted in significantly reduced neck movement and eye strain. Some application icons are still tiny, and there is definitely more window moving and resizing. However, those are small costs compared to the gain in ergonomics, clarity and sense of increased working area. The U2717D 2440x1440 resolution is amazing. After a week the overall sense is still wow!

Excellent Monitor
I purchased this monitor to replace my 4 year old Dell U2412M 24' monitor. The resolution is perfect for running with no scaling on Windows. Color is great and I can see is a bit more vibrant than the U2412M. The light anti-glare is great and make everything a bit sharper than on the U2412M. I put the monitor in Custom Color mode (thought sRGB is really the factory calibrated one) and adjust the green and blue channel slightly to get ride of the slightly green tint. Color pops a bit more this way for everyday use as the monitor's native gamut is a bit larger than sRGB.

Fine screen for photo editing
This Monitor was purchased to use with my Surface Pro. While it is used for general purpose viewing my real purpose was to use it in Lightroom for photo editing without spending $1,500+ for a high level professional monitor. Its resolution nicely fit with the quality of the graphics card that is built into the Surface. I am please with the purchase...it is perfect for my photo editing needs plus the adjustability of the stand is a real bonus. I had a quirk when I 1st paired the Monitor with the Surface but a call to the tech at B&H quickly solved the issue.

I'm not a techie
I'm not a techie but because I plan to design e-learning modules, I knew I needed a reliable, functional and fully loaded monitor to display my work. This Dell UltraSharp IPS monitor is definitely that and more. I read the reviews from users more technically savvy than I am, and was convinced it would meet my needs. It's so sharp. I highly recommend it. Best of all, the price is very competitive. My only hesitation is that I did not notice that it is not 4K so I don't know if I am missing anything, but so far, I can't complain.

Great monitor despite some flaws.
This would have received 5 stars except for the fact that (I bought 2) one of these monitors glows worse than the other even though it is not bad enough to return. Both monitors were calibrated using a ColorMunki and XRite software, yet one can still see a difference when looking at a neutral grey background. All in all I am being very critical. 2560x1440 on a 27 inch monitor is beautiful and the color reproduction is awesome (using for color critical photographic work). A huge step up from my set of 10 year old 23s.

Great product, very balanced in price and features
Monitor comes with an individual color calibration sheet, perfectly packaged, easy to assembly. Foremost, its colors are great, stand allows for easy and flexible adjustment. Screen itself is non-glare and so bright that the monitor can be operated in bright room. USB 3 upstream connection provides 2 USB sockets for easy connection. Last but not least: The box does not contain any plastic or styrofoam, everything is biodegradable folded cardboard, and Dell is to be commended for that.

An Excellent Monitor
This monitor has beautiful color and really great sharpness. It does a lot more things than I need but as a monitor, its topnotch. However, the two cables that come with it I found to be useless because they have end plugs that don't work with my computer. This monitor wants a HDMI plug in so I had to buy a converter that converts my regular monitor plug into a HDMI and you need an HDMI cable to complete the set up. Once that is done, the monitor is terrific.

Great all around monitor
This monitor is great for most things. Id say if you are a part time pro who needs a high resolution monitor that you can do photo and video work on with a decent amount of color accuracy then this is the monitor for you. Over all build quality is great, super small bezels. I have it connected to a 2014 MacBook Pro and with it connected to the Display Port you get the full 60hz refresh rate, where as if you use HDMI youre knocked down to about 30hz.
