I pair IER-H500A with Astell&Kern AK Jr while travelling and working out. They sound good and way better that all cheaper in-ear headphones I've tried before (none of them has been hi-res though). They are compact, comfortable and convenient. At the same time, the sound of IER-H500A is not as crispy clear and not as detailed as my hi-res over-ear headphones that cost three times more. I knew what I was buying IER-H500A for, the product meets my expectation but doesn't exceed them. In overall, I am satisfied.
