Best interface for your money
I purchased the UMC1820 for use in a home studio to record drums. It replaced a convoluted setup involving a couple mixers and an old M-Audio firewire interface. It's coupled with the Behringer ADA8200 (via ADAT) for 16 inputs total. The unit is built very well. It's not especially heavy, but not too light or flimsy-feeling. I've had several Behringer rack units in the past and they have definitely stepped up their game with the build quality. Th... Show More

Not Too Sexy, No!
This is a great example of Function over Form. Is it the sexiest looking USB audio interface? No. Is it the best sounding USB audio interface? No. What Behringer ever so wisely did was to make something that works well and is priced well. It quite simply works. Perfectly. It turns on instantly. MAC OSX recognizes it immediately. Fire up your DAW and you're off... No software to install. No Drama. No issues. It shows up with all channels available... Show More

DOA- Dead dead dead
I have a UMC404HD as does a friend. Both work flawlessly and sound great. But those don't have a digital input plus I needed 8 XLR and line inputs, and wanted digital input as well, so ordered the 1820 at three times the price. It never worked at all, USB was dead, dead on arrival. You would think they would TEST THESE BEFORE SHIPPING. Apparently not. Maybe that's why they're so cheap- leave to duds to the consumer to discover. Given the mixed re... Show More

OK with mac, but needs better windows drivers
Works well for our purposes, and the quality is very good. We did have a hum issue due to the lack of a ground connection. (we removed some paint under the power cable standoff and used that for our ground point)... problem solved. Behringer should provide a ground point on any pro audio gear but the choice to use it would depend on how the box is installed. Note that the rack ears do not provide a ground path since they are non conductive. Ag... Show More

Better than expected!
As always, B&H is second to none. The best price by far and I shopped all of the usual suspects. Arrived in less time than projected. The interface is exactly what the reviews I read described. Easy install, every thing worked in harmony once the driver was loaded. This thing is killer for the money. It replaced a similar, expensive box(red in color), sounds better, has more inputs and features. Get it!
