Works Well
I'm using the mic to film two actors stepping out of a car, paying a parking meter, and then walking up to and talking directly into the camera positioned on the sidewalk. The sound works well - but not the best ever -- enough for the video piece, and I like how the mics are light weight and easy to use. With sounds of people along the sidewalk, the actors can be heard clearly above it all, making it work perfect for this project. One thing that isn't so great is it's hard to open the battery cover, I always feel like I might break it.

work great for the price
Bottom line: you can spend $2000 on your high-quality UHF radio mics and when you give them to 85 undergraduates, they will get broken just as easily as my $200 VHF mics. There is hardly any difference in sound quality and interference in minimal, especially if you are fairly close to the camera/receiver, like you would be in a typical interview situation. I've used them for years and have had no problems (except, of course, when they get broken!). But then, they're reasonably priced, so I could get another one (or two).

More Than Expected
I needed a wireless mic system in a hurry. My old reliable had finally seen its day. Ordered the audio-technica, in a pinch, and it was really plug and play! What really suprised me is the quality of audio reception - clear and very good to excellent for my use. Actually, better than my previous system. I video mostly on construction sites, customer testimonials with alot of background noise. I am very pleased with the results I got yesterday on two locatins. Out in the field and in the client's office.

Pretty good. . .for the price
Overall, they work for what they say, but there are a few negatives. They do crackle a little bit. Also, there is no battery indicator which is really frustrating because you never know how much more juice that battery has. Also, there is no volume control for the input to the camera and no volume control for the headphone so be prepared for your ear to be blown out. But they are really simple to use and get the job done. I've actually got better sound quality on these than with a wired mircrophone.

Great pro-sumer mic
I get excellent sound quality, and very little background noise with this Mic. I have used this mic with various clients before and it has always worked out great. I recommend this Mic for anyone who is a freelance videographer on a budget. *Heads UP: When you have it plugged in with the earpiece you will notice it's very loud and you hear a lot of static. But don't worry! Once you import it into your computer, the audio is crystal clear. It's just that the volume on the earpiece is turned way up.

Good System...limited durability
Cost was a big factor; I needed to keep cost down for our online training video production budget. I had borrowed one of these earlier from a colleague, and used it quite a bit. But something happened to the mic cable internal wiring when used in an action sequence. Still, I bought two more, as they are fairly inexpensive. Audio quality is fine; some interviews we do via a Canon 7D and coupling this mic with a BeachTek adapter produces much better audio -- and easier to edit -- than the H1N1.

Didn't meet my expectations
I had a video shoot that required a wireless lavalier setup connected to my video camera. I was only 30 feet away from the subject and I experienced drop outs during the taping. The other frequency was noisy and the one selected without the noise would be okay for a while and then I would experience audio drop outs. Not quite the performance I expected at a distance of 30 feet. I returned the PRO88W and went with the Sennheiser EW112P G3 system. More money, but much better performance.

Very nice and durable
I just used this lav system for the first time today, and was very pleased with how well it held up (despite a six-year-old dropping the receiver). It seems tough and sturdy, and the quality is excellent. I use it for interviewing subjects, like news sound-bites (but for YouTube purposes). I did have help from a professional photographer on how to get it first set up, since that is not my field. He had it set up and ready to go immediately, so I'm guessing it's user-friendly in setup.

not to bad
I use two of these as field lav mics with a NTG-3 shotgun. not a great range on them, usually gets static about 20 yrds away, particularly if there are RF sources around, these don't handle that too well. But in general I get good sound from them, clear voices on interior and exterior interviews or dialogue, as long as i can keep the subjects from banging them around. well worth the price. i use them for both documentary work and narrative work as well as commercial productions.

Great Product!
I use it with a SONY HDR AX2000, which a bunch of friends and relatives gave me for my birthday last week. The sound on this system is clean, even when I was almost 100 ft away, it sounded like I was standing next to the subject. The price is very reasonable. In short, it exceeded my expectaions. My one complaint is that I wish it could seat more securely on the camera. The mount that's included in the package does not lock the radio in place, it can move, it can fall off

Best bang for your buck
When the search began for audio equipment, I knew the first place I should call is B&H. After speaking to someone in the audio department, I was guided in the right direction and recommended this lavalier microphone. Overall, I am very impressed with the sound quality. The build on these microphones reflect the price. They are sturdy, although, they look cheap. The range is incredible! But as far as sound goes, I highly recommend this mic if you are on a tight budget.

Great product
The product was great for the videos I needed. I should have got it sooner. I film in a gym where there is constant noise that can't be regulated and we needed a microphone that was small and easy to use to have better quality audio. The piece that helps attach the microphone to clothing however is a piece that can easily get lost because it is fragile. I always have to make sure after I'm done filming that I have all the pieces back in the case where I keep them.

Good begining unit
I am an action sport cinematographer and I bought this unit to use on our latest documentary about motocross. The unit has seemed to hold up to the conditions of a motocross track and the traveling to and from locations. It is an amateur unit, but for the price it can't be beat. There is a little noise, but depending on your surroundings, it still sounds good. I would recommend this unit to anyone looking for an inexpensive unit with decent sound.

Just Okay
I have only tested this mic system and while the mics pick up sound fairly well, there does seem to be an occasional crack, snapple, and pop. To a trained audio tech I imagine they would find these unacceptable. I might use them in a run and gun type of project and that's why I went with these rather inexpensive mics, they may get banged up pretty bad and if we destroy them in the process, no big loss. If money is an issue this isn't a bad mic.

Just as great the second time around
I had purchased this unit a year ago for on camera talkng head audio. It has been a reliable workhorse for the price. The audio quality is a good as any unit I have used. A few times I have wished to have two folks live or the interviewer and interviewer so I've purchased a second set with a different frequency. It's worth mentioning that I have been previously able to get good audio from the person wearing the unit and those standing nearby.

Good value, good performance
I use this wireless mic with my Sony HVR-A1U with good results with the talent fairly close to the camera. It works very well up to at least 50 feet. I have used it at distances up to about 150 feet, but it works at those distances only in a sweet spot--moving causes the signal to fade in and out. It's best to avoid moving the plug from the mic to the transmitter around--it can cause scratchy noise. All in all a good price/performance ratio.

Quality Audio Without Cords
Excellent audio quality. I use it with a Canon HF-200 HD video camera for video interviews. Great isolation from surrounding noise. Comes with all the cords needed to connect to a video camera as well as some velcro strips so you can attached the receiver to a camera or tripod. Even though this is a mono device the output cable uses a stereo mini jack so audio is captured to left and right tracks on stereo gear. Easy to setup and use.

Great setup - does the trick!
I purchased this system to do interviews ... use it with my Canon HV30. It's a piece of cake to use and I haven't had any problems with it. The audio is great and I've been really pleased with it. I was a little worried, because the price was so reasonable compared to other systems I looked at, but the reviews I read were all good ... and that's been my experience with it so far. No complaints here! A great system for a great price!

Seems Fine--as long as there is no noise
You can only switch between two channels on these, so if there's noise on one, you only have the other. I also noticed it was picking up a lot of camera, zoom motor noise, but this may have to do with the 3.5mm to XLR output cable I got for it. My XLR inputs are fine for my shotgun mics, but this one cable generates a lot of noise--unless its some sort of frequency interference with the lav receiver I have mounted on my ag-dvx100b

Does everything it's supposed to
I got this to use with my Canon 5D Mark II when recording video interviews. It works really well. I've tried it with the transmitter and receiver separated by up to 45 feet away and gotten really good sound quality--little or no hiss, and no interference problems. Well worth the price. There are other models with different microphones; don't know how these compare. Thanks to B&H for recommending it--I'd buy it again for sure.

Great Wireless Mic
Not being a sound engineer and in need of consistent audio, when my guy isn't able to assist, and worked out just fine. I was able to film about 60ft away and audio came through with out any lag or choppyness. The mic attachment that comes with the receiver and transmitter however isn't ideal for most situations (let's all noise in) so I recommend getting an additional mic such as a shotgun microphone or a better clip mic.

Very professional gear for the $$$
I just used the mic at an event where I was filming a speaker from about 50 feet. It performed well considering there was another wireless mic on the guy that belonged to the hall we were filming at. That mic was hooked to the internal PA. Although we did get a little interference it wasn't anything to speak of. I was impressed at the clarity of the signal. It's got solid construction and doesn't feel 'cheap' either.

Works well
The other reviewers describe this unit well. It is a great value, and works as advertised. I was using it in an outdoor video shoot, where I was the audio person. It was a dynamic situation, where we were videoing a horse trainer, doing an exercise that moved her and the horse around, so I had to move as well. A few staticky moments as we shifted position, but overall, good audio quality that I can work with.
