Nice monitor, flimsy stand
The only negative is that the stand-monitor attachment is flimsy and the monitor wobbles on it with even slight disturbance.

Excellent value, would recommend for console gaming
I use this monitor for gaming on the PS4 (mostly Black Ops III) and thus far it is great. The picture is crisp and the 1 ms response time makes for a noticeably better experience. Another selling point for me was the built-in speakers which are actually quite loud even at the 60 level I have it set at. The only downfall per se would be the inability to raise and lower the monitor height. Otherwise it is an excellent option for console gaming.

Highly Recommend
I am very particular about monitors and the company behind them. These were on sale and I needed 4 for my desktop setup to replace aging older monitors. These are light, bright and exactly as expected. It is also nice they support ALL of the typical connections. You can't beat these for the price and quality. I was going to select Samsung, but am very happy that I chose the ASUS product.

No Headphone Jack
There is no audio output. For example, I'm using this with my PS4 and I like to plug a Bose speaker into my monitor for audio. It seems the only option is to listen to the sound through these monitors horrible speakers.

WOW!! Budget High Def monitor
This is a nice alternative instead of the $500 monitor. I would purchase another one of these puppies. I actually play better at TF2 due to the 1ms response time. I build budget pc's usually under $600 and this along with my nvidia geforce 750ti is perfect. It comes with an HDMI, it doesn't come with DVI which I use from my old monitor. So happy after a week no dead pixels.

Cheap but poor quality
I usually always get ASUS monitors and the one I got recently seems so cheaply made as for as the exterior part with cheap plastic. I had a previous model and was made much nicer. The price was fair for the size but definitely would spend more next time for a better quality. Speaker are not that loud and definitely recommend getting your own speakers.

The VP247H is a well made all purpose monitor. I used it for my home PC. It is a great value, bright and very sharp. I'm very happy with my purchase of the VP247H.
