this monitor is truly one of the best monitor i worked with (and i work in the visual effects industry for more than 10 years now). of course, it's a prosumer monitor, not a professional one, but for the price, you can't get any better. i use it as a secondary monitor at home, but could be used as primary for anyone who works on picture (drawing/photography/film) and needs a well calibrated monitor on a budget.

Screen images are beautiful and as expected
Researched a lot about a 24 monitor for photo editing before purchasing and the PA248 was rated consistently high. I was not disappointed. Only issue is on start and after sleep the monitor will not wake up, however this may be an issue with the Dell XPS 15 laptop I am now using. Does not happen with my older MacBook Pro. Easy workaround: cycle monitor power button (easy to get to) on and off and it wakes up.

1920 x 1200 WUXGA resolution is the professional standard. You dont buy this monitor because you want to watch BluRays on it in 1080p format. You buy it because you want Pro Quality High Resolution COlor correct sharp imaging.I like the industrial design and the setup. it has all the connectors i need and the price was great. Don't settle for a 1080p television for your monitor. go 16:10 WUXGA, today!

perfect for media use
Perfect size, amazing color and range of tint is incrediable. Only downside is when tilting the screen vertically i still can't figure out how to make the screen turn as well. I read you need to go through settings everytime you want to flip it which is annoying. Thats why im giving it 4 stars because my reason for buying this screen was to flip images better for editing and now I don't even bother.

Nice Screen in my preferred format 16:10
I am not a fan of 16:9 monitors for computers ... that screen format was chosen, I think, because HD televisions use it and it is the most readily available screen for monitor manufacturers. To my way of thinking the 16:10 monitor (offering 1920x1200 instead of 1920x1080) works better for computer applications. This screen appears well made for the money, and installed effortlessly on my Ma Ini.

Adjusting to matte screen
If you're used to a glossy screen, it takes a bit of adjustment to get used to a matte screen. And though I have calibrated the monitor in an attempt to get it to a cutely reflect what I see on my MacBook Pro and vice versa, I've not yet succeeded. Clearly more advanced steps are necessary - and that's a little frustrating. Still, love having high-quality screen real estate for a decent price.

Amazing Quality with a Functional Design
I purchased these in conjunction with the Spyder Elite to calibrate the monitors with one another (no two monitors are calibrated the same from the factory). I love that the stand is flat and doesn't intrude useful desk space. I'm completely satisfied with these monitors. They are heavy, but they're not exactly the type of thing you'll be carrying in a briefcase either.

Excellent and Versatile
This is an excellent product, well suited to photo and video editing, and at a reasonable price. It is very easy to connect. When I booted up, the monitor worked perfectly and I did not have to change any settings. Image quality is superb - crystal clear, and with true-to-life color. You can connect 2 computers to it and switch back & forth using the PIP feature.

Looks great and super fast service
This monitor is used for all my computing tasks and does a good job. But when I use it for photo and video editing it just blows me away. I had none of the problems listed in some of the reviews. The first thing I did was check for backlight bleeding or dead pixels and had none. B&H made it easy to purchase, had a good price, and even got it to me a day early.

As expected
The box was left on the front deck soaked by the rain, (check shipping company). In the beginning, I thought about returning it, but I opened the box. The water didn't touch the monitor (good packaging). With care, I removed the monitor and installed it. It took me some time to connect everything, but it works well. Great bang for the buck
For my photography business I use EIZO monitors. They are by far the most accurate monitors available. However, for everyday accurate color work the ASUS PA248Q does quite well for the price. I can calibrate this monitor using X-Rite with reasonable results. I would recommend this monitor for anyone looking for a good monitor for non-professional work.

Great monitor for photography
I use this monitor for general computing and also Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. It calibrated ever so slightly with my X-rite Color Munki Screen so you should be pretty if you don't have a calibration device. The fully adjustable base is really handy. It tilts, swivels and rotates. The rotation is especially handy when plugging in cables.

Great Performance
B&H shipped item very fast.Great price for this IPS monitor. Wanted a larger screen monitor to replace another ASUS monitor which i highly recommend there products.Monitor has outstanding color, very true to life in photos,videos,games and just using it on PC.Quality made, stand is great, many ways to adjust it compared to other monitors.

PA248 Q a great upgrade
The picture is great. It has very neutral colors with just the right saturation. The menu is pretty intuitive, and it was easy to mount to the wall. I use this as a second monitor with my MacBook Pro. I do a lot of video editing, and I needed something that had accurate colors and had a great resolution, and I found it with this monitor

Great Value
I bought this because I wanted a monitor that would be easy to calibrate and provide good images at a fair cost. That is, so far, what I received. The other nice feature of this monitor is the vertical capability, making portait oriented photos easier to edit. I use this item for amateur photo editing and general home computer use.

Great monitor
High resolution, natural colors, crisp display. Excellent for all, 3D design and photo-video processing applications where you need high accuracy pictures and where 6ms response time is not a problem.The monitor's controller worked very well with video card and started perfectly set-up right from the box in few minutes..!!! Wow.

Very happy co-workers
I purchased four of these for our office. My primary decision for purchasing the PA28Q was Asus's Eye Care Technology as our staff's age ranges from 20's to 50's. They have only been installed for two weeks but everyone is very happy with their monitor. The monitor and screen can easily be personalized to meet everyone's needs.

Monitor takes me to next level
I'm a photographer who's been using a Macbook Pro to edit pics for over ten years. Now that I'm using the Asus, I've noticed my photos to be much more consistent, in terms of style and color, and I'm embarrassed to think of all the clients who I've worked with in the past. Great affordable option for the working photographer.

Great purchase
I'm have been really happy with my pick of the Asys monitor. Right out of the box I plugged it in and saw a stunning picture that matched my MacBook pro monitor. I use it with two laptops and can toggle between both with one button. The stand is sturdy and rotates with ease and range. I would definitely recommend to a friend

Great product
I bought this as an adjunct to my 17 laptop and I am very happy with the purchase. It took a little while to understand the controls (probably a user issue!) but other than that it was completely easy to connect it to my machine, excellent image quality, what else do you need?? If I had the money I'd buy a second one.

Works great out of box
Very good product. The colors were accurate. The only thing I had to do was to change the color profile to standard RGB in Windows 8 Color Management and delete all the rest profiles being associted with the device. I am planning on calibrating the monitor with color munki. Let's see if this produces good results.

Great for the money
I was in the market for a new monitor because my iMac monitor was not fitting the bill. This is an amazing monitor for the price point. I researched several and had a few recomendations from a few of my photography friends and this is the one they told me to get and i have not been disappointed with the purchase.

Superb display
Purchased to use as main display for Apple Macbook Pro. Con: poor install/hookup instructions Pro: (1) lots of different cables included; (2) superb display image quality: (3) superb viewing angles; (4) great flexibility for vertical height adjustment & screen tilt, makes it easy to get right ergo position.

It's Cheap for A Very Good Reason
Extremely difficult to alter settings and even then, regardless of how much time I took to adjust the color, it's terrible. So, while using my Mac for Photoshop/retouching, I position Asus vertically and simply use it for checking email and internet. This is the single worst monitor I have ever purchased.
