Excellent Quality
Couldn't ask for a better monitor. Even though you can technically get a bigger screen for less, you won't get higher quality. I'm a professional photographer and precise colors are extremely important. The out of the box calibration is really, really good. Much better than I expected.
So my 2011 imac screen stated acting up on me and wouldn't let me brighten it past 3 bars without it going black and as a photographer this is unacceptable. I wasn't going to spend $ repairing my screen so I did some research on the PA248Q noticed it had very good reviews. Excellent Monitor
Bought one to replace a 16:9 24 monitor that I had hooked up. I like the 16:10 format better. I liked the new one so much I bought a second one to replace a 27 16:9 monitor in my setup. Then I bought a third one for an old Dell XP laptop that I still use. So I now have three of these monitors hooked up, all working great. The pivot feature is something I've always wanted and it really comes in handy - very easy to pivot. The tilt and swivel also works well. Very happy with my purchases. Oh, the monitors also have VGA, HDMI, DVI, and Display Port inputs and that has come in handy also.

Nice for the Price!
I'm using this monitor with AutoCad 2015 for some basic design work. Overall, very nice running at 1920x1080. Colors are accurate, resolution is crisp and clear, not really doing any color matching right now but it's nice that it is set up already. The monitor stand is fantastic allowing elevation adjustments to suite any workstation requirements, also very stable. USB 3.0 posts on the side are a real plus making access super easy. For the price, this monitor probably can't be beat! Very pleased. B&H got it out the door in in my possession like they usually do..... FAST!

impressive
I wanted a pro series monitor to get optimal viewing of photos and videos. I connect the monitor to an ASUS laptop, and was initially disappointed that I could only seem to get the laptop's max. resolution (1366 x 768) rather than the monitor's (1920 x 1200). Thankfully I found out that by using the display switch button on the laptop (F key), I could tap into the monitor's full abilities - and they are impressive. Bright screen, bright colors and good sharpness for HD video. It's not a glossy surface, but the matte screen still holds up well.

Pre-calibration? Not exactly...
I do like the monitor, and trusted the pre-calibration claim. However, since then, I have learned that what is on my screen was not on the other monitors or printers - in fact it was very, very different. Did a test. It was way off. If you buy this monitor, I suggest doing a calibration with a Spyder4Pro. Still not crazy about the inaccuracy I'm experiencing. I did a lot of research prior to purchase, but in doing in more since, I'm finding other reviews that list the same issues... Everything else about the monitor, however, I really like!

So Far So Good
I recently bought the monitor to augment my MacBook Air. The resolution is very nice and the size isn't overwhelming like my previous 27 iMac. It wasn't easy to get the right adjustment to my satisfaction, but once there, it is quite comfortable. I would say it is an excellent value. The variability in the different connections with four USB ports, a VGA, HDMI, DVI, and display port make it quite versatile. The control buttons on the front of the monitor make it easier to adjust than others. I am quite satisfied with the results.

Best Value for Quaility!
These monitors are awesome! I now have a pair of them on my desktop. After countless hours of laboring over specs and research, I decided on this monitor. I've been a diehard NEC guy since the green screen CRT days and changing brands is hard! But I am glad I did because you can't beat the connectivity, quality, price, and picture quality. PA248Q monitors are the whole package and then some! If you are like me and are stuck on your trusty brand, it's time to put your trusty brand to bed and get this monitor instead!

Glad I chose this over 2412.
I spend a lot of time on the computer so naturally I use it watching movies and play games as well. With 6ms respond time, it is noticeable compare to my TN screen with 2ms response time. Games are still playable but does take a bit getting used to and I'm glad that I had went with the ASUS over the U2412 since the 8ms response time on that would be even worse. The monitor is very sturdy and I'm impressed by the construction and design of it, ASUS really outdid their competition this time around with this monitor.

I will recommend this monitor for
Plugged in and started using it with no problem, no dead pixels quality build, tilt/pivoting is a helpful feature for me to read legal documents. Great color balance when watching photos, movie, and web surfing. My eyes feel great even after long hours reading emails from works. I gave 4 instead of 5 because my monitor is missing the red thin line at the bottom of the monitor, as opposed I saw it on the box or the net, QC issue in ASUS maybe? Photo Enthusiast's Monitor
I've had this monitor just a couple of weeks and am using it as an external monitor to a laptop. The screen is amazing. Color is right on. Was very easy to set up and B&H staff was so helpful in the best hook-up for me with my two computers, one Mac and the other PC. The added USB 3.0 hub is a great addition. A couple of drawbacks. The monitor does lack speakers. I'm using the ones on my laptop but am considering adding speakers. I also am not a big fan of wires, particularly after leaving an All-in-One.

Very pleased with this quality product
This monitor displays rich but natural colours, has an enormous contrast range and is very easy to adjust in height or orientation. I am using it for graphic design, working with pictures and occasional gaming and it is bright and responsive and does these jobs well.Stylish design, but personally I think that the lights of the control buttons look a bit plastic and cheap, they could have done it more subtile. But this is a minor thing.I would instantly buy another one if I would need another one.

Beautiful Monitor
I can't quite give it 5 stars as it isn't perfection and would be lying to say that it is, BUT for the price point, you can't beat it. The color is gorgeous and much better than most of your LCD monitors out there, and the screen overlay options are nice as well. The USB 3.0 ports are a nice bonus as that is now becoming more mainstream. What can I say, if you're after something better than a run of the mill monitor and this is near your price point, I really don't think you could do any better!

Excellent value, some stability issues
The ASUS screen performance for color display is first rate for this price range. The 4 port USB 3 hub works great with an HDMI input to drive a pair of decent USB speakers. Operating in Yosemite, once the screen has gone to sleep, it loses color control if you select your own desktop -- when awakened everything is a wierd pastel shade. I have found two fixes: power off the monitor and restart it, or engage the desktop/screen saver to periodically change the image. then the problem gos away.

Happy Photographer!
Monitor is pretty light yet well built. Doesn't wobble on my desk. I'm coming from a 20 monitor, so this is a noticeable upgrade as far as dimensions. The adjustable height is a plus. Colors are pretty spot on out of the box. Although, I did calibrate with Spyder Pro 4. I haven't sent anything to the lab for prints yet, but I think it will be just fine. Color correcting seems like a breeze now. I feel more confident in my post work. Beyond happy with this purchase!

Fantastic Display
I am a photography student and I bought this display for the main purpose of editing photographs. It is essential to have a good monitor for editing photographs and the PA248 Display makes things so much easier, more accurate and everything looks better. This screen is easy on the eyes and not straining because of its large size, high resolution and wide color range. Its a great display for student, professional or amateur that wants quality and dependability.

Great price & service - a win... for me!
I didn't realize how much I wasn't experiencing before getting this monitor. If you think viewing on a laptop screen is fine...... get this product and the big feelin you may have is why you didn't have this sooner. I can't compare this to other monitors and I can't write about it from a tech standpoint by from a 'regular' person who just is on his computer a lot (average use), this is a hugh plus, a pleasure. I bought a second one for my girlfriend.

Instructions?!
Product is fine, once I got it working. The bedsheet instructions--32 languages--micro print--don't tell you the secret to getting the monitor to read the computer output. The disc just repeated the non-information on the bedsheet. Hint double clicking is involved.Oh...the monitor. For my purposes, amateur photography, it seems to be just fine. Have been using only about a week. Product arrived from B&H when it was supposed to and without damage.

ASUS IPS Monitor 24 PA248Q
What a GREAT monitor. First time I used it I sent a print to the lab and without them color correcting the file, it came out EXACTLY as it looked on my screen.....perfecto!The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because I just had to send it back as it was defective - flickered for the first 5-10 minutes of use. B&H as usual were fantastic and paid to ship it back to them and they are shipping me a new unit...no hassles whatsoever!

Defective product out of the box
I had really high hopes for this monitor. Unfortunately, like many others reported, after the monitor was powered on for a little over an hour it started flickering and blinking on and off. I tried different DVI cables, different power source and even updated my graphics card drivers who no improvement. I would not recommend this monitor and will no longer be purchasing any ASUS monitors. B&H was very good about processing the return.

Very Happy - Will Buy Many More...
We purchased 2 of these displays to use with a new Mac Pro (Coffee Can ;) and are very happy with the display quality. They match up extremely well with the 23 and 24 Apple displays we use with the 40 odd older Mac Pros throughout our digital imaging lab. They calibrate very well using an i1 Display Pro and i1 Profiler software. Definitely planning to purchase more for our replacement and new display needs in the foreseeable future.

Awesome Product
I bought this monitor for my daughter to use for photo editing. She hasn't done that yet, but out of the box there were no dead pixels. The price was awesome. I can't comment on the color calibration but in srgb it seems awesome. Very happy with my purchase, ASUS, and B&H The monitor arrived exactly when they said it would. All the cables to include HDMI were in the box. The stand is stable and adjustable for height and angle.

An A+ Asus product
The PA248Q is paired with a new Mac Mini (i7 quad-core Intel) upgraded to 16GB memory. This monitor is outstanding, no calibration needed. No light bleeding issues, no dead pixels. Text readability is excellent. Before buying, compared it to Dell 16x10. Fast shipping by B&H. Setup will be used primary for photo and video production. Asus rebate program somewhat cumbersome, but company response/tracking admirable.
