slow writing
this drive burns very slow as compared to the one it replaced. old drive took ten minutes to write a two hour movie and this drive takes about 65 minutes for the same movie. other than that it is an ok unit

Not sure if I need it, but at this price...
Didn't have it in my PC for quite some time, but lately I needed it so I decided to get one. The price is ridiculously low, so why not? Works as intended, no issues.
