The heart of my Digital Audio Workstation
Hooking this unit up into my audio production chain was breeze. I restored my time machine backup of my old mac, and everything came up just fine. It even updated the OSX automatically. I mostly work with Izotope Ozone, Neutron, and RX Pro. I had to connect my Firewire 800 devices va a FW800 to Thunderbolt 2 dongle and connect that to a Thunderbolt 3 dongle, but it worked great. No loss in speed or quality. The added ram and storage at purchase was a real plus.

Awesome
Bought this for our family computer. Mostly media center but the kids use it for homework too. Nothing too taxing, just Word and Excel and Google docs. To future-proof, I got it with 32Gb of RAM. You wouldnt think you would need this high-end spec for a family computer. But we have found the 10s of milliseconds of faster response really changes the user experience. It is literally a delight to use this fast computer because response times are so quick.

Worth the wait, more than meet our needs
My wife and I replaced our aging MacPro computers with Mac Minis. They were very easy to setup and configure. They are absolutely quiet and draw far less power than the old MacPro computers. While Ill miss being able to update the computers as I did both of the old systems, Im finding as I age Id rather buy up, meaning buy more than I need now, to avoid having to heft, open, install, and configure new hardware. macOS 10.14 also was easy to bring our old setups forward. If youre thinking of a new computer, keep the Mini in mind. It may just surprise you.

Not perfect but really great.
Ive always been a Mac mini fan. I like both the concept and the execution. The new mini is very fast. Its well know low point is the weak video card but for photography that is not much of a flaw. I appreciate that Mac minis probably cost more than they should but I prefer using it over my well-equipped HP Z230.

Great bang for the buck
Excellent i7 6-core machine. Added more RAM (3rd party) and makes a great system. Just needs a keyboard and mouse. Small footprint and has high speed USB C inputs along with USB.

Fast, efficient and stable.
I bought the mac mini and worked with two 27 screens instead of an old mac mini. The equipment is excellent and is cheaper than the macbook pro. For those who do not need a mobile device is ideal.

It works for me
I see people say it lacks in the graphics department, but I am not a high end video editor, so its a fine machine for what I do. And its very quiet sitting on the desk.

All new ports in the back - needs all new adapters
So if you have been waiting for over 4 years to get a new mac mini keep in mind you will need to get new adapters for all your old equipment! Buy them all at the same time for an easier transition

Fast, small, sleek, and a great Mac overall!!!
I read the reviews of this computer and knew it was going to address all the criticisms of the previous generation Mac mini (2014) which was long overdue for an update. It certainly has done that and is extremely fast. I chose i7 processor, 512GB SSD version. Love the size, and especially love the speed. Very happy with it! Also, B&H is the best, so definitely bought it from them!

Works perfectly
Fairly easy to set up and transfer data from old Mac to the new Mac. only problem was that a couple of my old apps were no longer compatible with the newer operating system on the new Mac so I had to re-purchase the up to date versions on a couple of my apps. Loving the upgrade
I purchased this Mac Mini to replace a mid 2012 MacBook Pro. I went with a desktop machine over a potable because my MBP sat at my desk connected to a monitor 90% of the time and I got an iPad for Christmas, so I figured any mobile computing that I needed to do, I could use it. Compared to a similarly priced MacBook Air, you really cant beat the Mini if you dont really need a portable. So much more IO and processor speed. I highly recommend this machine.

Great for Me
2018 Mac mini I7 16GB ram & 512 SSD 2014 Mac mini took 125 seconds from boot to log in. 2018 is 25 seconds. 2014 Mac mini took long time to open Excel. Photoshop or Premiere. The 2018 takes about 2 seconds. I couldnt be more pleased

B&H Comes Thru where even Apple Fails...
This is my second Mac mini in less than a year. When my 27 iMac failed in mid 2018, the wife couldnt wait for the New Mac mini to be announced. I had to buy the first mini even though it was a 4 year-old design. I went bare-bones because I knew the New design was on its way. B&H came the with the best price. Fine, but buggy
Its very small and quiet, lots of ports (including USB-A!). Upgradable RAM is a wonderful alternative to soldered-on, hideously priced Apple Macbook RAM. Has the well-documented crackling audio and Bluetooth issues, plus difficulty waking from sleep. None are deal breakers, but I feel like this is probably the last Mac for me. Bought this Mac Mini to learn macOS. New to Mac and have never used one before (have always been a Windows PC user). Bought the Mac Mini with Intel i5 Six Core processor, and paired it with a 32 LG 4K display. So far so good! Impressive speed and ease of use. Easy to set up and very quiet machine. Amazing Upgrade
I read quite a bit about which make mini to purchase for photo editing. I have to say I am delighted with this mac. I am not a full time still photographer. I shoot with a Canon 5Dmk III in raw mode. This machine imports, opens and transfers files to PS very quickly. All in all in does everything I need very well.

GREAT COMPUTER
I Bought this computer to work with multiple software instruments at the same time in my DAW (primarily Apples MainStage 3) and it absolutely smokes other top of the line MacBook Pros Ive had in the past.
